**Fossil Men's Gen 4 Explorist Watch Review**
Hey what is up youtube welcome to the custom of interest if you're new here please consider subscribing today i'm going to be reviewing the men's gen 4 explorist the links to this product are in the description
To start out with I'm going to go over some specs this watch has a 45 millimeter round touchscreen that is covered with tempered glass the band is made out of stainless steel and has a fold over clasp with a single button the case is made out of stainless steel the case is 12.5 millimeters thick the watch weighs 8.8 ounces and it's also water resistant up to 100 feet okay I'm just gonna say this now this is a big watch and if you're not a fan of big watches then this one probably isn't one for you
This watch is the heaviest watch that I've ever tried out it is much more heavy than any other metal watch that I own but I didn't really notice the weight until I took it off and put on another metal watch
One thing I really like about this watch is the band is super high quality the thing doesn't squeak or pinch my skin or anything the rounded edges on the links make for a really comfortable fit well for a metal length watch at least
Another thing that I really like is the clasp it just had one button that was easy to press but it feels really high quality this watch is running the standard newest update on wear os when I first got out of box I had to update it but at least the watch could successfully connect to the wi-fi and get the update in no time
The touchscreen looks nice but I'm not sure if it's lcd or oled but the colors do look good one thing I really appreciate about this watch is the spinning dial on the right side it is located on the right in the middle of the watch just like a lot of other classical watches the dial comes in handy every time I interact with this watch whenever I'm scrolling up or down the screen I always use the dial because it's so smooth and convenient
I feel like the way the fossil implemented the dial really complements this watch and I appreciate the attention to detail this watch does have a heart rate monitor and I think it works pretty good the workout and activity part of this watch is pretty much we get on wear os so it's pretty much what you can expect in that area
You have a button above the dial and also one below the dial the one on the top you can program it to do whatever you want and the one on the bottom click it and it brings you to the workout screen
Overall this is solid watch there aren't too many things that stand out but it's all around good watch if I could fix anything on this watch it would be the certain things about wear os that bug me for example there isn't a built-in messaging app so you can't really reply over your text on your watch so you have to rely on what comes to your notifications to see all your messages
Also one thing I wish I could do is download apps from the wear os app on my phone and they could just show up on my watch instead of having to connect to wi-fi through the watch and choose the apps on a smaller screen having a bigger one and just downloading it from there would be a lot more convenient and easy
Overall this is a good looking watch that is solid in just about every area but doesn't really stand out if you lasted this far in the video make sure to leave this video like and comment fossil is cool peace
