**Driving Experience with the A110R**
I'm going to go the other way, it seemed like the better choice earlier today, foreign on this car is so beautifully judged. I'm in track mode right now which makes it a bit like firmer, a bit more heavy but it's it's judged to perfection honestly and the difference between comfort and track is also really good. So here we go, quick shifts from the gearbox you get a nice little hit and you're back when you shift which is great and again the suspension on the Autobahn is so good because it's not too harsh, it's it's never really upsetting the balance of the car, it's just soaking everything up and that means that with this relatively light car you still feel very comfortable driving fast.
**Handling and Performance**
There we go shifting six and a half to 8, 600 RPM hold through the next gear. It's supposed to have a top speed of 285 kilometers an hour in the A110R but you need a lot of space for that, so we're at 265. I mean I don't know which track you're going to hit 285 but uh indeed a very very long track, I think you need a the runway from Fast and Furious which one is that seven or six or whatever the the one with like the 30 minute scene of a plane taking off it needs a lot of space. I'm not even sure you're going to make that 285 kilometers an hour it has 29 kilos more downforce than an A110's with Aero package so that is quite a bit but still it has a higher top speed.
**Track Performance and Handling**
I mean, what a cool car we're going to turn around enjoy these cup twos a bit on this off ramp. Oh so you get a bit of like understeer at first but because you have a mid-engine car I mean it never really becomes annoying and you can just lean on those cup twos that is the beautiful thing about this tire if it lets go it's very Progressive few the rear wheel like turn because you have a mid engine setup of course so nice. This car is just this is how you set up a car everything from the braking, the brake pedal feel, the steering I mean the input is so good it's like sharp but not nervous, you turn it in it's very accurate you know what to do with it from like the first five seconds you drive it and even though it does not have more power than an A110s it's over one second quicker from 100 to 200 in our measurements.
**Driving Impressions**
and it is very hot today so that is very impressive actually if you shift at just the right time like just too late actually you get an even bigger kick in your back which I quite like. If your time in precisely right you have like a very quick shift with a bit of a harder kick in your back it is so cool. I mean, the way this car feels is just 10 out of ten. It really is if you compare it to like a Porsche gaming or something like that of course that car is going to be much more suitable for daily driving it's a bit more of a grown-up car but it's also a lot more expensive but if you compare it to like an Alfa Romeo 4C or something like that you know this is going to be so much better.
**Availability and Pricing**
The only real problem with this car is that they're not going to build enough of them, 70 of them are going to France and I mean if they wanted to they could have sold all of them in France but uh they're not going to make a whole lot of these it's not a limited production run per se we do have a little plaque down there that says A110R number uh 141 but it's just a matter of how many like of these carbon Parts they're going to be able to get and yeah the the run is limited they don't make that many cars so I think two A110Rs are coming to the Netherlands this year and four next year and they're all sold out. So, just to give you an idea uh so they are going to be very rare there's also a special Le Mans Edition which is quite a bit more expensive and there's an Alonso Edition which we've got a stowaway right there he's hitching a ride.
**Alonso Edition**
The Alonso Edition is even more limited I think and they're also sold out. Alonsos are not even at all beat anymore so yeah who cares uh but the score is absolutely amazing if you can get your hands on one make sure you do because it is so much fun and super cool. So, I'm going to end it here I'm just going north going to get the space hope you enjoyed it you can subscribe by clicking the big button in the middle you can also check out this video on the right or this playlist on the left see the next one bye
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up ladies and gentlemen and welcome to this POV review by Auto toppinel my name is Max and today we are taking a look at this the most hardcore version of the Alpine A110 one of our favorite little Sports Coupes I feel like the albino A110 doesn't really get the credit it deserves it is such a fun car and the fact that it is just so lightweight playful makes it one of the most enjoyable cars on sale today and I really mean that and this is the most hardcore version as you can see we've got a lot of carbon fiber around the car so I'm going to show you all those special parts and then we'll take it for a drive towards the Autobahn for an ottoman blast the a110r as I said it's the most hardcore version so it's basically meant for the track but you can drive it on the road as well it's very suitable for quick B road driving and well we recently did a review of an a110s by Waldo which had a couple of tweaks as well like a downpipe I think it had a KW suspension set and a cage and stuff like that and it was like an improved version of the a110s so I'm really curious to see what this is like well I have to say you get a lot of value for money it is a bit more expensive than an a110s but you get a lot of carbon fiber like the front splitter absolutely gorgeous this uh matte Racing blue is like the introduction color definitely gives you a good contrast between the paint and the carbon carbon fiber bullet here which is super super beautiful I mean there are substantial panel gaps here but it does look very cool and I'll show you guys the inside as well because this is like your front you have a little bit of storage here but also you can check out the Bonnet with a nice open Logo and a little badge there that says Alpine a110r by Carl composite super super nice bullet that is that is so cool on this little car it's so serious uh it's a lovely car to begin with but then they go and put these amazing carbon fiber wheels on there oh my God so these are made by duken which is a corporate manufacturer and they also built an LMP car apparently uh this is a serious wheel the wheels carbon fiber they save 12 and a half kilos compared to an a110s for instance which is very very good Brembo brakes same as with the a110s you don't need better brakes because the car is even lighter and the brakes are really good to begin with we've got these Michelin Pilot Sport cup 2 tires so very very nice especially with this weather and these are two 15s at the front so not even that wide but you have a lot of grip 18 inch wheels and the design is different front to rear because you need a bit more air going through the brakes here there also redesigned uh part of the ducting which I think is here and there to cool the brakes even more for the track you also have stiffer anti-roll bars front and rear a beautiful carbon fiber side skirt do not walk which is quite French I would say the do not walk like I hear them say it um and then as you can see you have these Arrow disc wheels at the rear oh my God that is so cool I love these wheels and these are 245s at the rear it also sits 10 millimeters lower than an a110s as standard but you can lower it even more by 10 millimeters if you go to the track it is manual though so you have to like take off the wheels and the adjustment is at the top there of the damper but you can adjust it and you can lower it even more you can also adjust the damper but you can also adjust the ride height and then we've got well some serious bits of carbon here so a carbon rear deck lid you lose your rear window carbon fiber roof is also available on an a110s but it's standard on the a110r then you have this you don't have a rear view mirror anymore you don't have a rear window you get this beautiful Beautiful spoiler swan neck carbon fiber spoiler which is a little bit more aggressive than the Aero pack on the a110s you get a gorgeous diffuser as well with these winglets and then a 3D printed exhaust tip which looks super cool very racy nice little diffuser there and then you still have your little boots at the rear so you have a bit of storage front and rear and you have a bit of storage behind the seats I would say it's enough to you know to take your stuff for two people for like a week or something so that's nice but I mean yeah doesn't that look cool I think that is such a cool little car I those Wheels they fit the car so well and then the engine is in the middle of course 1.8 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine uh from the Megan RS basically 300 horsepower unchanged power compared to an a110s but it is 34 kilos lighter than an a110s so it weighs 1080 kilos which is kind of crazy uh they wanted it to weigh a thousand kilos or less when they started developing it and that meant that they had to have like carbon fiber body panels but that was too expensive in the end so they use aluminum but nonetheless 1080 kilos is is very light and then you have these beautiful carbon fiber bucket seats with sabled four point harnesses they are actually very suitable for daily driving because you have like a two-click system which is very nice but they are very hardcore I mean the seating position is not great for longer distances uh driving position is really good but they are so beautiful look at that nice LP logo in there as well I mean they they went they went all the way with this they didn't really do anything half-assed they they thought okay let's do this right so we've got an algazara steering wheel here and the carbon bits in the interior this is unchanged you do get these cloth like Loops to close the door instead of a door handle but it's not like with Porsches that you can also use it to open it you still have a door handle so yeah I'm not sure how much weight that saves but I think it's more like a gimmick so let's start it up comes to live with a little burble and let's have a little drive because that is what this car is all about of course so let's strap it there we go so we've got the seven speed dual clutch gearbox still and if we hold the sport button we go to track which means ESC track mode as well but we're going to turn that off there we go and anything else I don't think so so let's hit the road all right huh the beautiful thing about this car is that you get in I don't think there are horses around at this moment maybe on the other side you hear the pops already from the exhaust oh there there are horses so what's up Buddies just going to turn around down to B Road they are blindfolded now so I think they are trying to like beat each other in recognizing Gore sounds blindfolded they're experts now okay so driving it the first thing I noticed I was a bit scared that they were going to make it too hard too stiff you know like a track car but they did it they kept the original approach and still it has a very compliant and Supple chassis suspension uh combination it's got Ireland's Springs and it's called Socks Danvers and the setup is just beautiful because you have those stiffer anti-roll bars it doesn't roll like hardly it hardly rolls it stays super flat through the corners but still it's comfy and it's not like harsh and uncomfortable it's so good oh let's do a launch control here oh those brakes are so good uh pull both pedals Full Throttle 3000 RPM release oh you have to shift yourself I was a bit too late there but 3.9 claimed by Albin no freaking way I did like five or six launches and the fastest I got was 4.2 which is something we've seen with our pins in the past that they don't really hit their uh Factory claim but I also saw somewhere I've been in a manual for launch control that sometimes sometimes at 3000 RPM and sometimes it's at three and a half thousand RPM depending on the car and the circumstances I mean whatever that means and I was at 3 000 so maybe if you get the three and a half thousand launch control if you're lucky enough to get that one uh you're able to hit that 3.9 oh this car it's just so good so since it's Friday again and the weather is really good all the Germans are taking their bikes and they're going to the Netherlands again so I'm going to go the other way it seemed like the better choice earlier today foreign on this car is so beautifully judged I'm in track mode right now which makes it a bit like
