Lumia 950XL Smartphone Unboxing & First Looks

Unboxing and First Look at the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL

I'm Ranit, and I have this new Lumia 950 XL with me today, which is sort of the flagship device by Microsoft. It runs on the new Windows 10 operating system and is powered by the Snapdragon 810 chipset. As you can see, I'll just open up this device now, and we have the handset itself.

To the side, we have some paperwork that comes with the device, which I'll just put to the side again. The accessories that come with this device include a headset, a USB-C type connector, and a fast charger. As you can see, it's also Microsoft branded and has a USB-C type connector for faster charging. These are the simple accessories that we get with this device, let me put these things to the side so here is the device itself.

I've already set up the device, so let's just power it on. The screen on this device is actually now a Quad HD display, which I have to say, has really good display quality. It runs on Windows 10, which is new and has a similar interface if you've used any Windows 8 devices before. If you go to the settings, you'll see some new icons over here, let's go to system and storage, for example. Storage-wise, it comes with 32 GB of internal storage, but we get healthy 29 GB of space available.

We can also add a Micro SD card to expand the storage capacity if needed. The buttons on this device are touch-type capacitive buttons, and when you go to the settings again, you'll see that it's very familiar. You can create your accounts and stuff there as well. Now, let's just take a look at the back of the device, we have the new 20 megapixel camera with three LED flash. Microsoft says that the pictures taken will be very natural.

The camera can has C zus length so picture quality should be actually good. The back can be opened to reveal the battery, which is a 3,340 mAh battery. This device also supports dual SIMs and you can add a Micro SD card for easy expansion of storage capacity. Overall, this is the kind of technology that has caught my attention lately.

I have another device, the Nexus 6 P, for comparison. As you can see, it's definitely taller in terms of design than the Lumia 950 XL, and in terms of weight also. But again, I would say the build quality is not bad on this device, since it has plastic construction but, as I have mentioned earlier, the back is easily replaceable and we can access to battery we can add a Micro SD card for easy expansion of storage capacity.

The screen quality is really good on the Lumia 950 XL, as I mentioned earlier, which does not feel that heavy for a 5.7 in device. Let's continue with this video to see how everything works together, and make sure you stay tuned to my channel for more coverage on the Microsoft Lumia 950.

Thanks for watching, and I hope to see you in my next video.
