5S you can add up up to five fingerprints by just simply tapping on ADD fingerprint and tapping on the home button until it registers your fingerprint also Touch ID on the iPhone 5S can be used to purchase music books and applications by just simply selecting the content that you'd like and scanning your finger once it's registered to download the application that you wish very simple but it's only supported to unlock the device and make purchases through Apple's online stores now on the Galaxy S5 I did want to point out that you do have to wake up the device first and then swipe your finger which could be a timec consuming and K kind of annoying sometimes it does work sometimes it doesn't as you can see there but it does uh work very well when it does also here in the settings applications you can jump into the settings and you'll find the scanning fingerprint scanning options where you could add more fingerprints up to three now the good thing about the Galaxy is that the uh fingerprint API is open for developers to integrate it with other applications and also Samsung has it available to work with PayPal so you can make mobile payments as well now as of right now the fingerprint scanning system on the Galaxy S5 does not work on the Google a play store but it does work on Samsung's application apps where you can download Samsung applications and other content devices fingerprint scanning system do work rather nice and fast to unlock the device and make online purchases now apple does not have their API open to developers as of yet that could be coming soon
