LOSER Drives His New Z06 Like a GRANDMA...
The First Vlog in My New Z06: Explaining Why I'm Driving It Like an Absolute Fool
I'm excited to be doing my first vlog in the new ZO6, and I wanted to explain why I'll be driving it like an absolute fool for the next couple of weeks. The main reason is due to the car's break-in period. As we can see from a clip on the screen, when you hit 500 miles, the yellow section above 3,000 rpm disappears, and at 1,000 miles, the orange section above 4,000 rpm also disappears. This means that I'll be allowed to rev the engine above certain thresholds without any restrictions.
I have to admit, it's hard not to drive this car really hard when you know that there are no limits on how much power you can extract from it. The startup sound is music to my ears, and the sport mode gives me a taste of what's to come. However, I'm being cautious for now because I don't have the car wrapped yet. We're actually going to wrap the car next week, but I had to push that back because I was planning to take it to Shane from InShane Designs' shop earlier this week.
Unfortunately, I changed my mind at the last minute and asked him to do it at my house instead. This is because I want to film the whole process, and it's hard for me to get out of the house without being recognized or bothered by people. My last Corvette took a beating in the winter, and I don't want that to happen again. The road conditions are bad right now, with lots of salt on the roads, so I'm being extra careful.
As I drive around at 15 mph on these neighborhood roads, I can hear the tires hitting rocks and other obstacles, which is a bit unsettling. I was thinking about taking it out on some main roads, but I decided against it because I don't want any more damage to the car's underside. The rear section with the 335 series tire is already going to be destroyed if I drive too hard, so I'm being extra careful.
I hope you guys enjoyed the last POV Drive of the Hellcat, even though it was a sad moment for me when I uploaded it and realized that it would be my last video featuring that car. However, the excitement I have for this new ZO6 is making it easy to forget about the Hellcat. There are going to be many great things coming up on the channel soon, including first POV Vlogs and driving videos that will showcase the capabilities of this incredible car.
If you're stopping in for the first time, please subscribe to my channel and take care. I hope you enjoyed this video, and I'll see you all in the next one.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enB all right so here we go first Vlog in the new Z06 all right what is up everybody Mike here of course doing the first Vlog in the new ZO6 very excited about this but today's Vlog is going to be explaining why I'm going to be driving this car like an absolute for the next couple of weeks so the first reason is of course because of the car's break-in period and the way these cars work is that at 500 mil you get um I think you're allowed to rev then above 3,000 or so and then at 1,000 miles you're allowed to rev above well pretty much all the way you know what let's cut to a clip I want you guys to see this all right so this is what I'm talking about that I wanted you guys to see and hopefully you can get a decent little angle here so that little yellow section right above 3500 when when you hit 500 mil that little section goes away and then when you hit 1,000 mil I think it's like this it might be at 500 the yellow and orange goes away but I think it's just the yellow that goes away at 500 then when you hit 1,000 miles the orange section above 4,000 and this uh red section all the way to 6500 that goes away and then what you're left with is just the uh of course the red line section down here above 6500 so it's a pretty cool little thing it's a code written into the car once it's uh there it goes away and then it never comes back so there's no way to get that back so just a cool little detail that I like and you know just the tack and everything about this car I love so much it's one of my favorite aspects of the new Corvettes all right so you saw there on the tachometer how the break-in period on these cars work and uh you know it's taking a a lot of restraint not to drive this car really hard it feels honestly so good to be back in a Corvette it really does I love this thing so much the startup there had a nice little growl to it I started it in uh sport mode by the way so you could try to at least hear something uh in touring mode it's really really quiet but anyway so you'll notice I'm driving very slowly here so there's not going to be anything fun or crazy happening in the Vlogs I know a lot of people um throughout the helicop Vlogs were like throw in some more accelerations and I kind of forgot to do that over time um and then I started adding them in later so I'll definitely be doing a bunch of those in this car don't worry about it but um not for a little while the second reason and the biggest reason to be honest is because I don't have this car wrapped yet and we're going to be doing that next week now I was hoping to get it done this week but the reason we're not doing that is because I was originally going to take the car down to his shop Shane from inshane designs I'll put his uh put his Instagram in the description below so you can check it out if you want but anyway we were originally hoping to get it done this week but uh I was actually hoping to get it done at my house and I said that to him and I was like look you know I'll pay you extra or whatever it takes I just kind of want it done here that way I can film it and it's hard for me to to get out uh you know to get a ride somewhere because I don't have any really family that I can contact except you know my mom and I don't want to bother her you know I don't know what she's doing throughout the day um so he was like sure I can do it at the house no problem I'll just have to push it back so the car is not going to get wrapped until next week and uh there's still a lot of salt tenders on the road and I am so scared so please don't make fun of me please don't make fun of me I know it's horrible but uh these cars you really got to be careful because my last Corvette took a beating and I didn't drive that at all in the winter time you know I thought it was going to be a little bit better out today and it's not too bad you know it's just it's rained a lot so I was hoping the tenders will be off the road uh but it is what it is you know I'll turn off cuz I'm driving so slow here I'm probably pissing people off and as I'm driving around at 15 mph on these some neighborhood roads I do hear the tenders and rocks and everything hitting different parts of the car so um you know I was thinking about maybe even taking it out on some main roads but I'm going to decide to be a complete and not even drive it out on the main roads because I don't want Rocks coming from other cars this is bad enough I got a 335 series Tire on the rear so my rear section is going to be destroyed without a wrap no doubt about it the front on the Z06 is definitely lower to the ground than the regular Corvette I had it also has an extra lip underneath it so I'm sorry guys I have to do it but I have to be super gay but uh but anyway those are the things coming up on the channel very soon I'm going to do my absolute best to get this done so that we can get out there and actually have some fun driving Vlogs and a first POV Vlog all kinds of fun stuff and on that note I hope you guys enjoyed the last POV Drive of the Hellcat it was honestly a sad moment uploading that I was like this is the last Hellcat video but you know I hope you guys enjoyed that one um you know I I am going to miss that card no doubt but the excitement I have for this and the things I'm looking forward to doing is just it makes it really easy kind of forget about it but um no that was a great car no doubt about it so hope you guys enjoyed this video definitely a lot of great things to come on the channel very soon as soon as we get all this boring taken care of as always if you're stopping in for the first time please subscribe take care have a wonderful day see this is exactly what I'm talking about here if you look just from that short little drive you can see right there is a big piece of paint missing I don't know if you can see the about right here chipped so this is why this is why I'm definitely waiting until the car is wrapped to really take it out on the road\n"
