Apple Event on April 20th, and Siri Leaked It!

When's the Next Apple Event?

The special event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, April 20th at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. You can get all the details on apple.com.

This morning, we woke up to reports that Siri had basically leaked details of the next event, revealing that the next event for Apple would be next Tuesday, April 20th, many hours before Apple officially released this information to the public and then sent out media invites. However, none of that matters because it's finally happening! No more speculation about a March event or if April is going to happen – our first Apple event of the year is upon us next week.

We will see a digital-only gathering and most likely another pre-recorded event like we saw in all of 2020. It should be centered around new product refreshes, such as updated iPad Pro models, a new low-cost iPad, a new iPad Mini refreshed iMac, and the long-awaited Air Tags. These are all products that Apple could potentially introduce given that we're waiting on so many iPad refreshes.

iPads will most likely be the focus of the April event. Apple is rumored to be working on a new high-end 12.9-inch iPad Pro that will feature a mini LED display and a 5G chip, as well as an 11-inch model coming soon. These iPads are expected to feature Thunderbolt connectivity, camera improvements, and a new A14X chip that's as fast as the M1 chip you find in M1 Max.

We've had some pretty sketchy reports centered around Apple potentially featuring a new iPad Mini Pro with an 8.7-inch display that goes edge-to-edge, similar to the latest iPad Pros and even the latest iPad Air, which doesn't have a home button. However, it seems this design might not be happening at least not right now.

Recent dummy units leaked over the last week or two show a new iPad Mini but they appear to have the same design as previous generations – you're getting that big top and bottom chin along with a home button. There are also rumors about other products that most likely won't make it to the spring event, but we'll get into those in more detail in a video later this week.

It's possible that we could see an updated set of AirPods or revamped iMacs with Apple Silicon at this event, and if there was ever a time to finally drop Air Tags, now is probably the right moment. However, it really doesn't matter what happens – everything will be revealed during the April 20th event.

Apple has expanded its Find My Network to third-party devices, so it's possible that they'll talk more about this decision while unveiling their own Bluetooth tracking device. When the event kicks off at 10 a.m Pacific Time on April 20th, Apple plans to stream it live on their website and Apple TV App for those who can't watch.

For those who will be unable to watch the event live, MacRumors will provide full event coverage both on their website and through their Twitter account. Before we end today's video, let's take a look at our sponsor, OWC.

When the M1 was announced, Apple sold a set of wheels for the computer that cost an additional seven hundred dollars – which is pretty crazy. However, OWC has come to rescue again with a set of wheels for only 2.99 that go on in literally just a few seconds without requiring any tools and secure everything with just a few simple twists. This unique patent-pending design looks super elegant with stainless steel all over, and you don't have to worry about the stainless steel scratching the existing factory legs since the silicone rubber does an amazing job of protecting your now mobile tower.
