First Drift Demo as an Official RTR Driver

A Day in the Life of a Professional Driver: Insights from Behind the Wheel

As I settled into my seat, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. My team was gearing up for another intense day of racing, and I was ready to put my skills to the test. The first session of the day flew by in a blur, with me taking turns at the wheel and fine-tuning my technique. "It's great practice," I told my teammate, Adam. "Like it seems kind of stupid and silly, but the people out there love it." He chuckled in agreement, and we both knew that this was what made racing so rewarding.

As we took a break between sessions, I couldn't help but notice the intricacies of the track. The layout was designed to challenge even the most seasoned drivers, with tight hairpins and blind corners that required precision and quick reflexes. "It's like a balancing act," I explained to Adam. "You don't want to get pinched off and not handbrake and then straighten out and just t-bone the person." He nodded in understanding, and we both knew that this was where the real skill came into play.

After a few hours of racing, we took a break to grab some lunch and discuss strategy. The team's manager, Vaughn, pulled me aside and asked about my performance. "You bet me one lap on forza and I crash like four turns from the end here's your first money from rtr," he joked, referring to a previous racing incident that had left him with a sore spot in his virtual racing career. I laughed and told him that I was looking forward to making it up to him.

As we checked into our hotel room later that day, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to experience life as a professional driver. The rush of adrenaline, the thrill of competition, and the camaraderie with my teammates were all elements that made this job so special. "I'm stoked because it's really good practice," I told Adam as we settled in for the night. "It's a lot of fun and it's actually extremely chill." He smiled in agreement, and we both knew that this was what made racing so addictive.

As the day drew to a close, I couldn't help but think about the challenges ahead. The team had a few more days of racing left before our demo came to an end, and I knew that I would need to stay focused and on my game if I wanted to make the most of this opportunity. "I'm planning to maybe get a couple more clips while i'm out here for another three days," I told Adam as we said our goodbyes for the day.

The following days flew by in a blur, with me and the team working tirelessly to perfect our skills and push ourselves to new heights. It was a balancing act, indeed, but one that we were all eager to take on. As the sun set on another action-packed day of racing, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this experience and the incredible team behind me.

The video may have been shorter than expected, but it was packed with excitement and action. From the high-speed hairpins to the thrilling figure-eights, every moment was a thrill ride. And as I looked back on the footage, I knew that we had captured something truly special – a glimpse into the world of professional racing that few people get to experience.

As I look forward to the next chapter in our racing adventures, I know that this is just the beginning. With Mike working on some exciting collab projects and a slew of new content on the horizon, I couldn't be more stoked. Until then, I'll keep pushing myself to new heights and exploring every nook and cranny of the track. It's going to be a wild ride, and I'm honored to have you all along for the journey.

center literally i kid you not i'm rolling up and sure enough my car's sitting outside waiting for me they want me to do a couple shake down laps uh it's not completely identical to the fd cars this is actually the same demo car the chelsea was driving at my event just with a fresh wrap so a little bit different angle kit this has a fun haver angle kit still caged a little bit less power but i think this is supercharged so should be a fun experience love the fade cars looking good i'm ready to go okay um um i love this thing it's so good it's so easy to dry i'm like yeah and they're my first time driving one of these cars with a fun haver angle kit i gotta say right out the back those are my first laps felt super at home i'm still got some fun out here it's pretty narrow we're gonna be doing figure eights but we'll be doing lots of rides and uh these cars are good it feels like a tamer version of the fd car but in the most fun way imaginable i'm gonna go do some more fun laps and then vaughn should be here soon we'll be doing demos all weekend me so cool like houses and stuff like all behind us does it work ah it works so cool do you want me to spin it around in here no it's cool we just park it to the nose and that should be good i wasn't joking when i said i literally rolled up and got right in the car so here's a little more detailed walk around show you guys some of the little nuances of this thing it looks really good still the test livery we're not done with the official livery under the hood it's got one of those big v8 things i believe uh we'll get confirmation from vaughn on specs on this so i'm not even gonna attempt to talk about it but i figured i'd show you now that we're just chilling out here and we got a little bit of time car feels great as you guys are watching this i thought i should probably remind you that at 3 p.m eastern standard time today the very first ever rtr lz collapser is going live i will have half the supply on my site and then half of the supply will be on the funhaver site well i shouldn't say half because they brought something with them that they're selling at st louis auto show but anyway 3 p.m eastern standard time if we run out of my site i'll have all the links in the description so you can check out on theirs it's a limited edition run when they're gone they're gone it's got a cool back print a cool little front hit and then we also have a hoodie that kind of ties in with this shirt which i'll put on the screen right now and four o'clock today and then throughout the weekend at noon and four so come see rtr i thought he was just practicing that first but this is a legit behind the scenes right now got the truck all loaded up with our change of wheels and tires bond just got here we're about to go walk out all suited up stoked to be here bro yeah buddy event with the team i know i'm pumped to have you we're like lions in a cage but it'll be really it'll be fun first of all it'll be great practice for you like spatial awareness with the car i'm stoked then yeah so who have you i got here got right out of the car and as i'm getting out of the car my car just pulled right up it was the coolest feeling ever amazing i know yeah so cool the house is right in the background too yeah some people some of them love it others not so much uh um oh get him out there um uh it's friday you ain't got anything to do to get you high on time first official demo how's the rtr driver first official demo dude like a pro dude i did okay you did very well uh it's super sketchy in there i think you look great dude like when we come in on each other in that tight area the walls two inches from you and i'm you're like two inches from me ironically like one of the things that i struggled with when we were doing the testing that i was able to work on a lot there and that's like i would wait too long to fire off and then you'd put a gap with me in the street yeah so i've made the same mistake before so i was like firing off rather than choking myself out yeah and started helping a lot yeah so yeah it's cool to kind of practice i'm telling you it's great it's really good practice like it seems kind of stupid and silly yeah but the people out there love it like they're all screaming the whole time and it's great practice for you and i'm stoked to see it and we didn't touch at all i'm over sure you're hitting me your first time really yeah but you did great i was definitely always that was fun you're a really good driver adam thanks man that means a lot you too i felt like you kind of got screwed though because when you followed me i saw they put new tires on you and i was loose so i was just floating everywhere it was fine okay that's great like it's great practice to like break try to time lighten off you know like it's just good practice it just keeps you sharp so i'm curious in so like you know we we play catch up through the straight and then we get into those little hair pins are you left but breaking a bunch while stinging on throttle are you kind of hand brake checking in there so yeah whatever i need to do but the rhythm is hand brake checking a little double break until i can fire off with you okay got it that's kind of what i was doing but i was wondering if i'd be better off like left foot breaking there to keep the wheel speed up to fire off but it feels better to kind of like tap to keep everything set yep yeah it's fine like if you need to hit going down our left foot break is like if i rotate it too early and then i'm waiting if i'm on the inside like i'm almost cutting you off so i'm like left foot breaking to let you come by yeah because it's tough because you don't want to get pinched off and not handbrake and then straighten out and just t-bone the person so it's about it's a balancing act but i just want to develop bad habits since we're going to be doing this for four days straight you know it's good so sick heading out to demo number two already having a blast way more chill than i expected kind of cool just getting to see behind the scenes of everything and being a part of it all stoked to bring you guys along huh um hmm demo number two complete and even though this is uh the only two demos you're gonna see in this video we'll be out here for another three days doing the same thing three days straight it's gonna be a blast i already feel so much more comfortable in the chassis just kind of like spatial awareness but um yeah i'll take you guys along for the rest of the day but uh that's it for the driving it was a good time hey vaughn you want to tell them what just happened with this uh just happened bill here you bet me one lap on forza and i crash like four turns from the end here's your first money from rtr thanks bro actually from my wallet actually i think i still would have had yeah i'll get that back by the end of the weekend all right we'll see hotel room lz here checking in i'm not gonna lie i thought this video is gonna be a lot longer than it actually was i guess i usually have a really good mental clock it's weird i never talk about this in videos but sometimes when we do like sponsored integrations and stuff i just know exactly how much to film to get a minute because that's usually the requirement for a vlog i usually try to have in the 15 to 20 minute realm i was just way off on this one so sorry there's a little bit of a shorter video i am planning to maybe get a couple more clips while i'm out here for another three days but i'm very aware from a viewer perspective watching us do the same exact figure eight over and over and over again is incredibly repetitive from a driver perspective i'm stoked because it's really good practice it's a lot of fun and it's actually extremely chill probably some of the most chill driving i've ever done because there's two sessions a day if you are in st louis and want to come out watch it's awesome it's a lot of fun uh but yeah i'm not planning to upload the next video based on st louis content it will likely be uh the second half of the best of 2021 video mike has been working on that a lot and that will buy me some time and then i'll probably have some leftover footage if anything exciting happens in the next vlog that comes after that so uh reminder that we have those uh collab shirts we're live now i'm gonna get some rest go get some breakfast with the boys and then go back to doing race car things tomorrow hope you guys enjoyed this one a lot of fun appreciate you and i'll see you soon that you love me oh
