**A Month of Kindle Unlimited Reads: A Look at Eight Excellent Books**
As I sat down to record this video, I couldn't help but think about how much I loved my Kindle Unlimited subscription. With access to a vast library of e-books, I've been able to read so many amazing stories in the past month. From romantic comedies to heart-wrenching dramas, each book has left an indelible mark on me. In this article, I'd like to share with you eight books that I've devoured from Kindle Unlimited, and why I think they're worth your attention.
**Book 1: A Single Dad's Christmas Romance**
I recently read a Christmas romance novel about a single dad who has been left recently by his mother. The story follows Franny as she navigates her new reality with five daughters to care for, all while trying to introduce a woman into their lives without causing any conflicts. I appreciated how the author handled the sensitive topic of single parenthood and the complexities that come with it. The steamy scenes were also well-done, but not too cheesy or over-the-top. What I loved most about this book was its focus on family and the importance of supporting each other through thick and thin.
**Book 2: Someday by Emma Skye**
My next read was a male-male romance that I didn't have time for initially, but I'm so glad I picked it up. It's called Someday, and it's about Max, a former street kid who turned his life around to become a nurse. The story takes place in present-day, with Max falling for the son of a pharmaceutical company CEO. What struck me most about this book was its beautiful portrayal of healing and growth. Emma Skye handled tough topics like conversion therapy and autism with sensitivity and care, making it feel like she had done her research on the subject matter. The love story itself is sweet and tender, making it perfect for the holiday season.
**Kindle Unlimited Recommendations**
If you're looking for more books to read from Kindle Unlimited, I highly recommend checking out these titles. From romantic comedies to heart-wrenching dramas, there's something for everyone. With a focus on family, love, and self-discovery, each book has left me feeling uplifted and inspired. Whether you're in the mood for a light, easy read or something more serious and thought-provoking, I'm confident that you'll find something to love in these eight books.
**A Kindle Unlimited Subscription: A Game-Changer for Book Lovers**
For those who may not be familiar with Kindle Unlimited, it's a subscription service that offers access to a vast library of e-books. With the ability to read as many books as I want, without worrying about the cost or availability of physical copies, it's been a game-changer for me. Whether I'm in the mood for something new and exciting or something familiar and comforting, Kindle Unlimited has got me covered. And with new titles being added all the time, I know that I'll always have plenty to choose from.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello correct my channel today I'm going to be doing my November Kindle unlimited wrap-up so I read a fair amount of Kindle unlimited things this month despite the fact that I had a ton of other that I was supposed to be reading I just I cannot stay away from Kindle unlimited or romance it's a problem and I'm not I'm not upset about it so most of these books I feel like I haven't talked to you guys about the first few I obviously read for my birthday week but there's also a lot of stuff that I haven't told you guys about so let's briefly talk about the stuff that I talked about in my blog and in my all-time favorites video and then I'll get into the new and fresh stuff so the first book that I finished this month from Kindle unlimited well it's birthday girl up by Penelope Douglas I love this book it's got a place in my heart it's about Jordan and pike Jordan is living with her boyfriend and her boyfriend's father and she ends up falling for her boyfriend's father it's a lot less taboo than it sounds but there is an age gap element and I don't know it just this book really got me to remember why I love Penelope Douglas so much I didn't really forget but it was just nice to revisit her story I just her ability to give characters realistic flaws and have conflicts that really makes sense is in my opinion unparalleled and then shortly after that I ended up reading 157 by lucky dog list I gave both of these books 5 stars I should let you guys know this book is about Misha and Ryan who Finn pen pals for a while they don't know each other's a true identity in real life and when they meet they don't like what they find out mostly because me show the hero finds out that our heroine is sort of a bully sort of a mean girl and she's like a typical cheerleader it's a typical noodle book I'm not gonna lie to you guys and try to sugarcoat it problematics kind of up but it's very steamy and I like the take away message that you should be able to be yourself this books always gonna have a special place in my heart and on my all-time faves list because it's just exactly what I wanted from a book it gives me all of those like early two-thousands emo feels and I mean the playlist in the front of the book it definitely picks up on that sort of like emo theme so anyway I love these two books I could not recommend cannoli Douglass's books more i'll talk about another book that she wrote later and it I think was her first book and I liked that one too so I think she can do no wrong to be honest the next book that I read this month is one that I I think briefly talked about in my birthday vlog but I don't think I told you guys my final thoughts but anyway it is becoming colder by Mia Sheridan I ended up giving this book unfortunately two stars so this book is set on a Colt Klump and it's about kaulder who is part of the lower class or working-class group of people in this cult you've got everybody has kind of like specialized jobs and the people at the top obviously don't have to do much work they just get to reap the rewards of the cult because that's sort of how Colts are set up so in this one our main character Calder is part of the working class and he ends up falling for the cult leaders promised or chosen one Eden Eden is promised to the cult leader at the age of twelve so she is supposed to be kind of like the savior whenever she comes of age she is to marry this old creepy man had a lot of issues with this book it's not that I feel like the cult representation was romanticized per se I do think that Mia Sheridan did a good job to kind of show the realities of what cult life is like and to show why it's a problem but Mia Sheridan did use the cult as her primary mechanism of conflict and she also used it in my opinion to romanticize the inexperience of both of her main characters which I personally took a problem with and it's kind of hard to summarize the icky feeling that I got when reading this but I don't think it's Mia Sheridan's fault necessarily I think it's definitely a personal preference thing and I could understand why other people like this book that being said I really I did just have an issue with the naivety the naivety honey said the word if our main character Eden is she just in any sexual experience that she had with our main character it was very I don't know what's going on I have these tingly feelings I didn't really like that I don't personally like a very naive main character and I understand that it made sense given this context it just felt creepy to me and it felt like that was a lot of the reason why this book was set up the way it was because we can have this they give virginal girl falling for this guy who's she's kind of forbidden to being with and like I get that that's the whole point of the book it's just not what I personally wanted and it just it left me feeling kind of gross so I just didn't love this book I think Mia Sheridan's great I just don't think that she's necessarily the right author for me I've also read archers voice by her which I enjoyed but overall her books tend to fall into that sort of like sweet cheesy Nicholas Sparks II sort of vibe and if that's your thing you were going to a dork a book she is a really great writer there's nothing technically wrong with her plotting and her characterization it's just not to my taste I ended up listening to this I will point out on audible escape I ended up renewing my honorable escape I know I'm stupid but I actually have been trying to get more use out of it so that way I can talk to you guys more about you know the surface is a hole cuz I know I talk a lot about Kindle unlimited but the audiobook for this was fine I didn't find either of the narration for either of the main characters to be offensive or like the voices to be irritating so this is an easy listen I think most of Mia Sheridan's books are on Kindle unlimited but I would definitely say give archers voice a try before you try like this one so I have a lot to say about this next book I finished again this is a book that I think I started in my birthday vlog but I didn't get to fully summarize my feelings in that vlog I was just like oh I don't really know how I feel I know how I feel now and it's upset and it's in the unlikely event my Illit a shed did not like this book at all I am finding that quantity is not the same as quality and I think we all know that but I guess I just wasn't aware of how many books LG Shannon has put out this year she's put out four full-length novels and I've only liked I think one of them not the best I think she put out the kiss thief ready reckless broken night and in the unlikely event that's so many damn books and it's just unnecessary because thief was fine this one sucked Pretty Reckless sucked and I kind of liked broken Knight so anyway that's that's sort of my State of the Union on lg Shen I'm just I'm pretty unhappy with the quality of the book she's putting out right now I think she's kind of falling into the trap of making every book overly dramatic and self-indulgent and I just can't take it anymore it's just too much for me personally this particular book is about a girl named Aurora who ends up traveling to Ireland when she is I believe a senior in high school freshman in college like pretty early on she ends up meeting this guy who knew her father she learns about her father through the sky and they have one night together her in this guy named Malachi Malachi's really into music he's a musician he's just artsy and angsty and whatever this might seem familiar if you've read midnight blue myalgia shun similar but a lot more up she ends up sleeping with this guy for one night and they make this pact that in the unlikely event that they meet again they will drop everything and marry each other and of course this book takes place years later and we get flashbacks obviously interspersed but the two characters get back together they're not in a good place when they get back together Malachi is very upset and has some resentful feelings towards Aurora for no reason because we're not given any insight until the very end of the book why he's upset Aurora also has a boyfriend so there's some impediments to the two getting together make sense because have to have conflict in a book right my issue is that the conflict is so manufactured so ridiculous the plot twists are just ungodly it was upsetting to read about and I think some of the issues that were handled in this book were really really poorly handled could have been teaching moments could have been lessons could have been important things talked about but they were just glossed over and it was pretty offensive to me but just overall the plot was a series of misunderstandings there was cheating there was just so much involved that I just I could not personally be on board with and I'm gonna give you guys some spoilers right now so I'm gonna put spoiler right here once that goes away obviously watch the rest of this video if you don't want to see spoilers for this but for one the hero is raped and there's a child that is born as a result of this rape I understand that you're probably not going to want to draw attention to the fact that your child was conceived via rape because you know that's not exactly the most warm and fuzzy thing to tell your child however I don't like the way that it was handled oh she's handled super poorly and I really feel like this could be a teaching moment and a important moment because men are raped that is definitely thing that happens in real life it was just really poorly handled number two the big secret that everybody is hiding from our main character is the fact that her mom and her were both physically abused by the dad and everybody hates the daughter for some reason because she was abused it makes no sense I understand that Aurora's mother in this story was the other woman but that's still not enough reason to hate a woman and child for being physically abused it's oh wow wow don't love that and then obviously number three there's a hidden child the entire time this book is going on we don't know that Malachi has a child with another woman who the other woman's dead but you just don't you don't hide a kid from someone I don't care if you intend to be in a romantic relationship with this book whatever you just don't hide your kid oh yeah by the way I have a five-year-old child no what does that like who does that uh I can't this book really upset me for those up reasons there was ton of that happened the cheating there's like a weird threesome situation a random character dies out of nowhere for no reason just for shock and awe value it's just I really wanted to like this book I really didn't I did not like this book I being said I'm excited for the third book I'm excited for the third book in the All Saints High series I think that LJ's ability to kind of stick to the script or stick to a solid plot is a lot greater when she is writing series she understands she has to make each character different and give them their own plotline so I think she gets creative but isn't too out of pocket food most part her stand-alones are just they're not for me they're not for me and I don't know if I'll ever pick up another one from her because that was just really bad the next book for this one was hat-trick by Eden Finley didn't love this book as much as I had anticipated mostly because I feel like there was too much build-up between the two characters in previous books and also I was reading a book that was similar that I enjoyed a lot better right before this so I ended up reading junkie by cambree Huber which is definitely my favorite male-male romance of the year so if you guys have watching my channel for any length of time you know that I really enjoyed the series I recommend the fake boyfriend series all the time because I just I think even Finley I don't know her sexuality but for a woman the rights male-male fiction she does a really good job at not fetishizing her male characters and doesn't do the whole gay for you trope so I really I like her as an author and she's fantastic but this book was just kind of lame for me the two main characters Soren and Jett Soren is a professional hockey player who's facing retirement jet is coming off of a tour where he ended up getting romantically involved with one of the band members of the band he was opening for they kind of come together and this is their romance there's been kind of like banter and kind of a playfulness between the two characters in previous books because all of the characters in the entire series are very like together I don't know Jetts the brother of one of the previous romantic couples anyway there was just so much build-up I was really excited for that like fun hCAP romance I think Jets like 23 and his romantic partners like 33 something like that I just I didn't love the build-up I liked that there was an unnecessary drama I really appreciated that but overall the story just felt really anti-climatic and I don't think that's even salt per se I just think that I needed more angst I wanted more build up even though we're getting buildup in previous books this just kind of fell flat and I think honestly that's kind of a common occurrence in romances to me like I'll be so excited for this couple that I heard about in the first book and I want to get to the seventh book which is their book it's like not that great anyway this one my main issue is that the first conflict in the book was a simple misunderstanding miscommunication which is wrapped up in I don't know 10 pages or so much like I appreciate what where's the next conflict and it comes from the ex-boyfriend of Jett and again that's not really enough of a conflict for me to not want these two characters to be together or like understand why they need to be apart we're just kind of like to be honest it wasn't a terrible book it was well-written I liked the eventual conclusion of this book I also feel like the series was wrapped up nicely in this book because this is the conclusion to this white book series I just wasn't my favorite of the books it wasn't my favorite couple I just I didn't love it I'm really sad I didn't love it cuz I was really looking forward to this one but it didn't you three stars it just it felt whatever but that's pretty much it for bad books that I read this month pretty much everything from here on out is either excellent or good and the first book it's marriage for one by Ella Mae is this is one that I did listen to audio through audible escapes all the books I'm talking about here are on Kindle unlimited but some of them I did listen through the audible escaped package the audiobook for this if I could recommend one thing if you're gonna read this listen to it on audio a narrator for our hero I was drooling like The Voice I usually am pretty neutral about female narrators but male it's like hit or miss like I want the guy to be sexy this this narrator he did it he embodied the character he really he went there I loved it definitely listen to audio book but in general this book is just fan-fucking-tastic it is a marriage of convenience novel Jack ends up marrying Rose because Rose is set to inherit this space where she wants to open her own coffee shop but she can't open it unless she is married and her fiance just dumped her so Jack is an attorney who kind of knows her situation and offers to kind of be her husband and after two years he will effectively take over that space he will get to the property I just loved this book so much the main character Jack is so grumpy he doesn't want to be touched like he is just so stoic he is the ultimate grumpy hero he's not a or anything which I appreciated he's just he's got his own going on and he isn't looking for a romantic relationship that being said he does use Rose like not use Rose he takes her to different events for the law firm and overtime and they get a lot closer obviously that's the whole point of this book Rose and Jack grow together and watching him start to care for her so much care for her through an illness that she goes through and just various different events in this book it was such a slow burn and watching them get together finally it was just so high I love this book if you're a big fan of slow burn romance is like Mariana Zapata I think you'll really enjoy this mostly because it is slow burn but you do get more of a payoff if you know what I mean I was just literally blushing and grinning the entire time that I was listening to this on my commute or this book it was really good it really makes me want to check out more of LME's s backlist also I think it's a kind of during Christmastime maybe I think there might be picked up during Christmas I think it's not Christmas vibe to it you know like Ebenezer Scrooge she's been redeemed she has been sexified he has been gifted the gift of a woman that's basically what this book is it's like Scrooge finds love oh when I gave that one four stars the next book that I read it was just like okay I mean it was good I love this author it was bullied by Penelope Douglas this one I think this Penelope Douglas his first book that she ever wrote it was written in like 2012 I think it's similar to pond 57 in some ways but not as good mostly because the dual POV is lacking in this book they're the two main characters I think it's Jared and Tate Jared and Tate yes jared is kind of a bully Wow Wow the title of books bully he's a bully surprising he kind of has no reason to bully Tate which i think was so my main issue had we had Jared's point of view we could have understood why he was doing what he was doing I thought he was surgery still one-dimensional hero I personally don't love that I'm a character person especially in romance so I wanted that dual POV action this didn't have that it's still an enjoyable story I really do love this series and compared to a lot of new adult books I think Penelope is I mean she's just she's the queen so I enjoyed this it's just not my favorite book by her I don't really have more to say about it I would check out the series though still the next book that I read was irresistible which is clover leaf farm number one by Melanie Harlow I picked this up on the recommendation of Brie from the channel Bree hill and guy really likes this a lot I think something about this cover really made me think it was gonna be like really soft and cheesy and it was really soft but it wasn't super cheesy there were a lot of steamy scenes in fact this is one of the steamier books that I read this month and I just really ended up enjoying it so this is about the youngest daughter in a family named Frannie and she has heart problems so her family kind of like babies her she works in the family in and she's trying to realize her goal of opening up her own bakery she ends up falling for the CFO of the farm and or in or a they had a lot of property right this family the Reg they own property they've got businesses his CFO she falls for him I'm assured of an age gap he's a single dad and I just this book was great the conflict was super realistic obviously there's going to be some struggles when you've got a single dad who has been left recently and by the mother you don't want to introduce any woman too quickly and you're worrying about your kids cuz it could tear your number-one priority so the conflicts in this book made a lot of sense the steamy scenes are amazing I really like Franny as a character over it wasn't it just wasn't too cheesy it was soft and nice but not too cheesy it's definitely not the kind of romance I normally read but I definitely want to check out more in this series I really that's one of my liked trope things that I enjoy when it is like a family it's like five daughters and then each books about be shot oh I really like that so I'm definitely going to be picking up more in the series as a result if you don't like single dad or like softer romances this probably isn't for you but it's really nice to read around the holiday season and I just really liked it so thank you for the recommendation Bri this was really good and then the last book that I read uh okay this might be one of my favorite books of the year I I wasn't meaning to pick this one up this was definitely one that I did not have time for and I am like behind on reading now because I read this book but I don't regret it at all I saw this come across my Goodreads the author the synopsis and the review by the reviewer made me just have to pick up this book and it is someday someday by Emma Skye listen this was so good it is a male-male romance which I don't think Emma Scott has ever done previously and it was just beautiful this book is about a guy named Max who was kicked out of his family home when he was a teenager for being gay he ended up selling himself on the streets for drug money and eventually he is able to turn his life around and becomes a nurse and we are set in present-day for the majority of the book and it's about him falling for the son of the CEO of a pharmaceutical company and the son of the CEO has a lot of his own problems and demons that he's struggling with present day so this story is about healing it is not coming together and figuring out what you kind of want from life I don't I'm not doing a very good job of describing this book but it is just beautiful there are a lot of tough moments but I think the representation and the important things that are talked about are really really well handled there's a note at the back of this book that talks about teens who are kicked out of their home and conversion therapy it seems like Emma Scott really did her research on this and it makes sense because if you've read any of Emma Scott's other books that handle sickness or honestly any sort of like hobby that's awfully specific she does really good research into whatever she's talking about so this book did a very good job at not fetishizing gay relationships which again we appreciate when it's written by a woman at someone who hasn't experienced that themselves and also it felt like any of em Scott's other books which I appreciated she didn't handle it differently because the genders of the characters are any different so I really appreciated that the story itself was exactly what it's set during Thanksgiving time I was reading this during Thanksgiving and it's hard it's hurt wrenching but the overall like message and the overall conclusion of this book is so sweet highly recommend it if you were okay with harder topics Bing disguised conversion therapy I don't think it's a spoiler to say one of the characters undergoes conversion therapy and it is talked about and there are flashbacks to it also autism is something that is discussed in the book and I think that was also really well handled I can't speak obviously to any of the representation in this book because I am either a gay man or autistic but I really I think the subject matter that his handle in this book was just so well done and overall the love story is just beautiful so if you're looking for a heartfelt holiday romance either for this year or next year definitely put this on your TBR it was kick ass I mean you could read it anytime of year but it definitely has sort of like a holiday feel to it in my opinion so love this love the main characters I love how good everybody is how flawed everybody is I could honestly talk about this for hours I know I've been probably talking away too long in this video just kind of rambling but um that's it those are the I think 9 8 or 9 books that I read this month from Kindle unlimited definitely it recommend you guys to check some of these out the ones that I had gushed about check them out I thank you guys so much for watching I know I talked about fuckload in this you guys so much and until next timehello correct my channel today I'm going to be doing my November Kindle unlimited wrap-up so I read a fair amount of Kindle unlimited things this month despite the fact that I had a ton of other that I was supposed to be reading I just impediments to the two getting together make sense because have to have conflict in a book right my issue is that the conflict is so manufactured so ridiculous the plot twists are just ungodly it was upsetting to read about and I think some of the issues that were handled in this book were really really poorly handled could have been teaching moments could have been lessons could have been important things talked about but they were just glossed over and it was pretty offensive to me but just overall the plot was a series of misunderstandings there was cheating there was just so much involved that I just I could not personally be on board with and I'm gonna give you guys some spoilers right now so I'm gonna put spoiler right here once that goes away obviously watch the rest of this video if you don't want to see spoilers for this but for one the hero is raped and there's a child that is born as a result of this rape I understand that you're probably not going to want to draw attention to the fact that your child was conceived via rape because you know that's not exactly the most warm and fuzzy thing to tell your child however I don't like the way that it was handled oh she's handled super poorly and I really feel like this could be a teaching moment and a important moment because men are raped that is definitely thing that happens in real life it was just really poorly handled number two the big secret that everybody is hiding from our main character is the fact that her mom and her were both physically abused by the dad and everybody hates the daughter for some reason because she was abused it makes no sense I understand that Aurora's mother in this story was the other woman but that's still not enough reason to hate a woman and child for being physically abused it's oh wow wow don't love that and then obviously number three there's a hidden child the entire time this book is going on we don't know that Malachi has a child with another woman who the other woman's dead but you just don't you don't hide a kid from someone I don't care if you intend to be in a romantic relationship with this book whatever you just don't hide your kid oh yeah by the way I have a five-year-old child no what does that like who does that uh I can't this book really upset me for those up reasons there was ton of that happened the cheating there's like a weird threesome situation a random character dies out of nowhere for no reason just for shock and awe value it's just I really wanted to like this book I really didn't I did not like this book I being said I'm excited for the third book I'm excited for the third book in the All Saints High series I think that LJ's ability to kind of stick to the script or stick to a solid plot is a lot greater when she is writing series she understands she has to make each character different and give them their own plotline so I think she gets creative but isn't too out of pocket food most part her stand-alones are just they're not for me they're not for me and I don't know if I'll ever pick up another one from her because that was just really bad the next book for this one was hat-trick by Eden Finley didn't love this book as much as I had anticipated mostly because I feel like there was too much build-up between the two characters in previous books and also I was reading a book that was similar that I enjoyed a lot better right before this so I ended up reading junkie by cambree Huber which is definitely my favorite male-male romance of the year so if you guys have watching my channel for any length of time you know that I really enjoyed the series I recommend the fake boyfriend series all the time because I just I think even Finley I don't know her sexuality but for a woman the rights male-male fiction she does a really good job at not fetishizing her male characters and doesn't do the whole gay for you trope so I really I like her as an author and she's fantastic but this book was just kind of lame for me the two main characters Soren and Jett Soren is a professional hockey player who's facing retirement jet is coming off of a tour where he ended up getting romantically involved with one of the band members of the band he was opening for they kind of come together and this is their romance there's been kind of like banter and kind of a playfulness between the two characters in previous books because all of the characters in the entire series are very like together I don't know Jetts the brother of one of the previous romantic couples anyway there was just so much build-up I was really excited for that like fun hCAP romance I think Jets like 23 and his romantic partners like 33 something like that I just I didn't love the build-up I liked that there was an unnecessary drama I really appreciated that but overall the story just felt really anti-climatic and I don't think that's even salt per se I just think that I needed more angst I wanted more build up even though we're getting buildup in previous books this just kind of fell flat and I think honestly that's kind of a common occurrence in romances to me like I'll be so excited for this couple that I heard about in the first book and I want to get to the seventh book which is their book it's like not that great anyway this one my main issue is that the first conflict in the book was a simple misunderstanding miscommunication which is wrapped up in I don't know 10 pages or so much like I appreciate what where's the next conflict and it comes from the ex-boyfriend of Jett and again that's not really enough of a conflict for me to not want these two characters to be together or like understand why they need to be apart we're just kind of like to be honest it wasn't a terrible book it was well-written I liked the eventual conclusion of this book I also feel like the series was wrapped up nicely in this book because this is the conclusion to this white book series I just wasn't my favorite of the books it wasn't my favorite couple I just I didn't love it I'm really sad I didn't love it cuz I was really looking forward to this one but it didn't you three stars it just it felt whatever but that's pretty much it for bad books that I read this month pretty much everything from here on out is either excellent or good and the first book it's marriage for one by Ella Mae is this is one that I did listen to audio through audible escapes all the books I'm talking about here are on Kindle unlimited but some of them I did listen through the audible escaped package the audiobook for this if I could recommend one thing if you're gonna read this listen to it on audio a narrator for our hero I was drooling like The Voice I usually am pretty neutral about female narrators but male it's like hit or miss like I want the guy to be sexy this this narrator he did it he embodied the character he really he went there I loved it definitely listen to audio book but in general this book is just fan-fucking-tastic it is a marriage of convenience novel Jack ends up marrying Rose because Rose is set to inherit this space where she wants to open her own coffee shop but she can't open it unless she is married and her fiance just dumped her so Jack is an attorney who kind of knows her situation and offers to kind of be her husband and after two years he will effectively take over that space he will get to the property I just loved this book so much the main character Jack is so grumpy he doesn't want to be touched like he is just so stoic he is the ultimate grumpy hero he's not a or anything which I appreciated he's just he's got his own going on and he isn't looking for a romantic relationship that being said he does use Rose like not use Rose he takes her to different events for the law firm and overtime and they get a lot closer obviously that's the whole point of this book Rose and Jack grow together and watching him start to care for her so much care for her through an illness that she goes through and just various different events in this book it was such a slow burn and watching them get together finally it was just so high I love this book if you're a big fan of slow burn romance is like Mariana Zapata I think you'll really enjoy this mostly because it is slow burn but you do get more of a payoff if you know what I mean I was just literally blushing and grinning the entire time that I was listening to this on my commute or this book it was really good it really makes me want to check out more of LME's s backlist also I think it's a kind of during Christmastime maybe I think there might be picked up during Christmas I think it's not Christmas vibe to it you know like Ebenezer Scrooge she's been redeemed she has been sexified he has been gifted the gift of a woman that's basically what this book is it's like Scrooge finds love oh when I gave that one four stars the next book that I read it was just like okay I mean it was good I love this author it was bullied by Penelope Douglas this one I think this Penelope Douglas his first book that she ever wrote it was written in like 2012 I think it's similar to pond 57 in some ways but not as good mostly because the dual POV is lacking in this book they're the two main characters I think it's Jared and Tate Jared and Tate yes jared is kind of a bully Wow Wow the title of books bully he's a bully surprising he kind of has no reason to bully Tate which i think was so my main issue had we had Jared's point of view we could have understood why he was doing what he was doing I thought he was surgery still one-dimensional hero I personally don't love that I'm a character person especially in romance so I wanted that dual POV action this didn't have that it's still an enjoyable story I really do love this series and compared to a lot of new adult books I think Penelope is I mean she's just she's the queen so I enjoyed this it's just not my favorite book by her I don't really have more to say about it I would check out the series though still the next book that I read was irresistible which is clover leaf farm number one by Melanie Harlow I picked this up on the recommendation of Brie from the channel Bree hill and guy really likes this a lot I think something about this cover really made me think it was gonna be like really soft and cheesy and it was really soft but it wasn't super cheesy there were a lot of steamy scenes in fact this is one of the steamier books that I read this month and I just really ended up enjoying it so this is about the youngest daughter in a family named Frannie and she has heart problems so her family kind of like babies her she works in the family in and she's trying to realize her goal of opening up her own bakery she ends up falling for the CFO of the farm and or in or a they had a lot of property right this family the Reg they own property they've got businesses his CFO she falls for him I'm assured of an age gap he's a single dad and I just this book was great the conflict was super realistic obviously there's going to be some struggles when you've got a single dad who has been left recently and by the mother you don't want to introduce any woman too quickly and you're worrying about your kids cuz it could tear your number-one priority so the conflicts in this book made a lot of sense the steamy scenes are amazing I really like Franny as a character over it wasn't it just wasn't too cheesy it was soft and nice but not too cheesy it's definitely not the kind of romance I normally read but I definitely want to check out more in this series I really that's one of my liked trope things that I enjoy when it is like a family it's like five daughters and then each books about be shot oh I really like that so I'm definitely going to be picking up more in the series as a result if you don't like single dad or like softer romances this probably isn't for you but it's really nice to read around the holiday season and I just really liked it so thank you for the recommendation Bri this was really good and then the last book that I read uh okay this might be one of my favorite books of the year I I wasn't meaning to pick this one up this was definitely one that I did not have time for and I am like behind on reading now because I read this book but I don't regret it at all I saw this come across my Goodreads the author the synopsis and the review by the reviewer made me just have to pick up this book and it is someday someday by Emma Skye listen this was so good it is a male-male romance which I don't think Emma Scott has ever done previously and it was just beautiful this book is about a guy named Max who was kicked out of his family home when he was a teenager for being gay he ended up selling himself on the streets for drug money and eventually he is able to turn his life around and becomes a nurse and we are set in present-day for the majority of the book and it's about him falling for the son of the CEO of a pharmaceutical company and the son of the CEO has a lot of his own problems and demons that he's struggling with present day so this story is about healing it is not coming together and figuring out what you kind of want from life I don't I'm not doing a very good job of describing this book but it is just beautiful there are a lot of tough moments but I think the representation and the important things that are talked about are really really well handled there's a note at the back of this book that talks about teens who are kicked out of their home and conversion therapy it seems like Emma Scott really did her research on this and it makes sense because if you've read any of Emma Scott's other books that handle sickness or honestly any sort of like hobby that's awfully specific she does really good research into whatever she's talking about so this book did a very good job at not fetishizing gay relationships which again we appreciate when it's written by a woman at someone who hasn't experienced that themselves and also it felt like any of em Scott's other books which I appreciated she didn't handle it differently because the genders of the characters are any different so I really appreciated that the story itself was exactly what it's set during Thanksgiving time I was reading this during Thanksgiving and it's hard it's hurt wrenching but the overall like message and the overall conclusion of this book is so sweet highly recommend it if you were okay with harder topics Bing disguised conversion therapy I don't think it's a spoiler to say one of the characters undergoes conversion therapy and it is talked about and there are flashbacks to it also autism is something that is discussed in the book and I think that was also really well handled I can't speak obviously to any of the representation in this book because I am either a gay man or autistic but I really I think the subject matter that his handle in this book was just so well done and overall the love story is just beautiful so if you're looking for a heartfelt holiday romance either for this year or next year definitely put this on your TBR it was kick ass I mean you could read it anytime of year but it definitely has sort of like a holiday feel to it in my opinion so love this love the main characters I love how good everybody is how flawed everybody is I could honestly talk about this for hours I know I've been probably talking away too long in this video just kind of rambling but um that's it those are the I think 9 8 or 9 books that I read this month from Kindle unlimited definitely it recommend you guys to check some of these out the ones that I had gushed about check them out I thank you guys so much for watching I know I talked about fuckload in this you guys so much and until next time\n"
