The Petrolhead Takes the Range Rover Sport SVR to the Track Day at Goodwood Motor Circuit

Hey guys and welcome to petrol ped, and a bit of a surprise so I'm here at Goodwood motor circuit and there's another Hardwoods track day on today and the guy said look come down um but I've just managed to back myself a very very quick drive in this Range Rover Sport. Absolutely Epic Car in every way massively powerful massively fast. The spec on this car is absolutely to die for so let's quickly take it up the road and see just how good it is.

The Range Rover Sport SVR is the ultimate Road-focused SUV from Jaguar Land Rover powered by a 5L V8 producing 542 brake horsepower with 502 ftlb of torque. This Beast has an 8-speed automatic gearbox and we get to 60 in 4.7 seconds and then onto a limited top speed of 162 mph. The exhaust system makes sure people know you're coming, the sound is simply stunning only 40 kilos less than the standard sport. The steering and suspension have been tuned with extra cooling for the brakes which means that the SVR can lap the Nordschleife in 8 minutes and 14 seconds most customers opt for the 22-inch optional wheels and the interior of this car is stunning with sport SVR embossed bucket seats for all four passengers. this car um is just absolutely beautiful very very lovely seats um with this fantastic kind of contrasting going to have to bury it here again AR I that's that's incent that a 4x4 should not sound that good so I'm in loud exhaust mode I'm coming up to a junk I'm just going to basically go into the Flappy paddles and start right let's do some Flappy paddle acceleration can't a smow very that's that's that's sports car quick is it is look like it shouldn't be able to do it no okay so what I will say about this car is it is just massively comfortable it's just a Range Rover it's beautiful um so you could do some really long Journeys we just joking so I think we're currently averaging 13 m to the gallon um which is probably because we're accelerating like gigans but then you kind of have to left or right right you kind of have to in a car like this really so we're now coming on to a bit of dual carriageway so let's just um pole around the Dual carriageway and then open the Taps see what happens I think it's going to be quite dramatic that big car shouldn't be able to do that that's fantastic so well well north of 500 horsepower well enough TS to Kickstart a planet and the most outrageous noise from me so far so you might or might not so I used to have a Range Rover Sport we had an autobiography the the model before this and the diesel one and it was a great car when this Range Rover um sport came out this model of Range Rover Sport is 600 kilos lighter than the one I had so that's like you could basically have my sat on the roof and still be lighter and you can feel it straight away it's a really agile car it doesn't feel like a big 4x4 but it's just so massively rapid it's unbelievable might just have to kind of just while he's got his window open it's very challeng yeah this is great this is a new game you go up next to someone who's got the window open and just floor it next to them and they get remarkable expression on their face oh dear me it's addtive that is that is super outrageous I tell you what's impressive is you accelerate and when you change it's just instantly there there I mean it almost it almost goes faster as you change to the high gear which normally cars don't they kind of bury down a little bit you get that instant bang just go through the exhaust appreciation tunnel shall we oh yeah that'll be noisy then okay guys so that brings me to the end of a very brief but most excellent test drive of this beautiful Range Rover Sport svr what a machine massive amount of power beautiful amount of comfort really cool sorry it
