The Year's Favorite Books: A Romance Reader's Wrap-Up
As a romance reader, I've had the pleasure of devouring some amazing books this year. From steamy and sultry to sweet and heartwarming, my reads have taken me on a journey of emotions and escapism. In this article, I'll be sharing my favorite books from the past 12 months, including some surprises and disappointments along the way.
My Favorite Steamy Books
I've had the pleasure of reading several steamy romance novels that left me breathless and wanting more. One book that stands out in particular is "Wild Love" by Elle Silver, which was seriously steamy for this one reader. I also enjoyed "A Book in Her Chest" that's part of the Spring series, as well as "Number Four: Rained Out", a book that features rain and some pretty steamy moments. Another favorite of mine is "Love Letters to a Serial Killer" by Tasha Collins, although it didn't quite live up to my expectations.
Vacation Mode
A book about a vacation is always on my radar, and this year was no exception. I would have loved "Vacay Mode", but unfortunately, that one didn't make the cut. However, I did enjoy "The Unhoneymooners" by Christina Lauren, which features a vacation to Maui as part of its plot. Another great option is "The Catch", a book that takes place in a small town and has a similar feel to "Vacay Mode". If you're looking for more options, consider "Amy & Rogers' Epic Detour" by Morgan Matson, a YA romance that features road trip adventures.
Amusement Parks
One of my favorite books from the past year is "First Line Wins" by Ashley Winston Elston, which had me guessing from start to finish. This book was like a roller coaster ride, full of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. Another great option is "The Midnight Feast" by Lucy Foley, a thriller that also kept me guessing until the very end.
Ice Cream
A sweet treat deserves a sweet book, and I've found just the thing in "Practice Makes Perfect" by Sarah Adams. This book is a must-read for fans of romance and relationships, with its focus on communication and trust. Another great option is "The ROM Commerce" by Katherine Center, which combines elements of romance and business to create a unique and engaging story.
Sunrises and Sunsets
A beautiful sunrise or sunset can be the perfect inspiration for a book, and I've found some stunning options in this category. One of my favorites is "Just For The Summer", although I'm not entirely sure if that's the exact title I was thinking of. Another great option is "Weise and Then Nighttime", which features a similar sunset-inspired theme.
Longest Books
Finally, let's talk about the longest books on my list, including some epic romances that took up an impressive amount of time to read. My favorite book from this category is "Love Off with Love" by Maria Zapata, which clocks in at an astonishing 531 pages. While I loved the story itself, it was often times hard to get through due to its length.
That's my wrap-up for the year, folks! If you're interested in reading any of these books or exploring more romance novels, I hope this list has been helpful. Don't forget to share your own favorite reads with me on social media using the #RomanceReaderChallenge tag – I'd love to see what you've read and discuss it further with you all in my next video.
