The Aston Martin Calum Vanquish 25: A Unique and Exotic Vehicle
As I stood at the Aston Martin Tank Island, surrounded by the sleek and sophisticated design of this exclusive car, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The Calum Vanquish 25 was not just any car - it was a limited edition model, with only 25 pieces produced plus three prototypes, making it an incredibly rare and coveted vehicle. With its stunning metalwork and intricate details, this car is truly a masterpiece of design and engineering.
The Manual V12 Engine: A Nod to the Past
One of the standout features of the Calum Vanquish 25 was its manual V12 engine. As someone who has always been a fan of manual transmissions, I was thrilled to see this iconic gearbox in action. With its six-liter V12 producing 580 British horsepower, this car is certainly not for the faint of heart. The integrated exhaust and diffuser system added a level of sophistication and refinement that elevated this car to new heights.
The Interior: A Symphony of Materials
As I entered the Calum Vanquish 25, I was immediately struck by the luxurious materials used throughout the interior. From the high-end aluminum to the carbon fiber accents, every detail seemed to have been carefully considered to create a truly unique and special environment. The highlight of the interior was undoubtedly the Bremont clock, which not only added an air of elegance but also served as a functional timepiece that could be removed and carried with you.
Driving the Calum Vanquish 25: A Thrilling Experience
As I put the car into gear and began to drive, I was struck by its sheer power and performance. The manual transmission was certainly a learning curve, with long throws and a slightly clunky feel that required some getting used to. However, once you got the hang of it, the rewards were well worth it - from the raspy metallic sound of the exhaust system to the exhilarating feeling of downshifting through the gears.
The Calum Vanquish 25: A Collector's Item
As I explored the car further, I couldn't help but feel that this was a vehicle that would be best appreciated by collectors rather than everyday drivers. While it certainly had its unique qualities and charm, it seemed to require a certain level of finesse and attention to detail to truly appreciate its full potential. Nevertheless, for those who can appreciate the finer things in life, the Calum Vanquish 25 is sure to be a real showstopper.
The DB4 GT Continuation: A Glimpse into Aston Martin's Heritage
As I was leaving the showroom, I caught sight of another exclusive vehicle - the Aston Martin DB4 GT Continuation. With only 25 pieces produced and a price tag of around $1.5 million, this car is truly a rare and coveted gem. While it may not be road-legal in Switzerland, its stunning design and heritage make it an incredible addition to any collection.
The Verdict: Is the Calum Vanquish 25 Worth Half a Million?
In conclusion, whether or not the Calum Vanquish 25 is worth half a million dollars is ultimately up to individual interpretation. For those who can appreciate the unique qualities and charm of this car, it may be a real gem. However, for others, it may be a bit too exclusive and expensive. One thing is certain, though - this car is sure to turn heads and make a lasting impression on anyone lucky enough to see it in person.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enso i really really missed that coffee machine however we're here today at aston martin tank island not just for this amazing coffee machine but for this the aston martin calum vanquish 25 25 being limited to 25 pieces and i'm extremely excited about not only just having some really good coffee but showing you guys this car today because it is just so unique we've all seen pictures of it going around the internet and i can tell you the pictures definitely do not do it justice this is a prototype so all together there is 25 pieces made plus i think three prototypes so this is one of the three prototypes it's around 90 finished so a couple of details are not perfect on it being a prototype but i've just had a quick look around quick kind of touch and feel it's one of those cars that you want to touch and feel because of the beautiful metals and all these small details i can't wait to take this out for drive i got a feeling it's going to sound brilliant one thing i'm really excited about is it's a manual v12 long live the manuals so happy it is a manual that is good coffee however this is my third coffee of the day i think i should cut back a bit because i am buzzed now instead of going straight out for a drive in the car i actually spent most of my morning just wandering around the car admiring all of these fantastic details as i said it's one of those cars also you can't help but to touch there's so many pleasing materials on this car it really is quite fascinating underneath the bonnet it's got a six liter v12 putting up 580 british horsepower and the sound comes out of this seriously cool integrated exhaust and diffuser system which i loved there's so many things on this car that i'm obsessing over normally i of course wouldn't run my hands over cars it's just not very nice is it but on this you just can't resist but to kind of touch and tap things how often could you tap the front grille of a car and it makes a metallic sound now that is satisfying and very expensive i've been told huge breaks carbon ceramic breaks okay let's jump inside and i want to show you guys something very cool so this has to be the nicest clock that i've ever seen in a car it is from a uk brand apparently called bremont and what you can do is remove it lots of very satisfying sounds the high class aluminium against the carbon fiber and behind also see this absolutely beautiful piece so when you've left your car you can jump out take this with you put it in your pocket and carry it with you as a pocket watch but it is very very cool and fairly simple to put back in so so let's go for a drive in a very very expensive and beautiful british car the door did not close then no soft clothes on this car everything's quite clunky although it looks quite like a new car you do straightaway feel that it is an old car so you directly feel yes it is an older aston martin an actual key out of my pocket which is nice put the key in obviously it's making some kind of sound no idea what that means anyways key and turn the key and then start button oh no that was my foot it was not the car i did not turn the key enough there we go i wasn't worried at all then so i have been told not the easiest to get it into reverse you know oh no actually said it was in gear then but it wasn't that means it's in reverse please work now yeah we're going to talk about the gearbox in a minute it's uh how do i say there's room for improvement on the gearbox i think this car has a personal touch it is extremely unique is the word oh no that my knee just hit the key and turn the car off oh no this is not good i'm stopped in the road oh no that actually did just happen my knee uh it's very close the key to my knee i'm quite tall as i tried to accelerate my knee went up and switched the car off can you can you believe we've got a v12 with this listen oh yes suddenly i forget about all those little things you know what that sound instantly reminds me of a zonda it has this high pitched clean kind of raspy metallic sound yeah let's talk about the gearbox quickly it's quite long throws it's clunky i'm guessing it needs warming up a bit but sorry i can't get over that sound it does feel nice don't get me wrong it's like i said long throws you're never quite sure when you're in gear and when you're not they did say to me that it's actually probably not a finished version of the gearbox six liter v12 putting out 580 horsepower that's a 60 horsepower increase from the original vanquish so to have the manual gearbox that is actually an extra it will set you back an extra 000 but then again if you're spending around half a million on a car i don't think an extra 15k is really that big a deal to you if you blip the throttle on the downshift that's a very nice british sound right there why being a v12 obviously you need to rev it a lot this being switzerland means i can't rev it too much because by the time i've hit the high revs i'm going to be over the speed limit which is not recommended here speedos in miles per hour not kilometers an hour so i actually have no idea how fast i'm really going which again is not good in switzerland look at this one i'm going to second gear it's a big movement but this car is probably more of a collector's car than anything how much people actually going to drive them i don't know oh god yeah you need to really have a firm grip on this car it's my initial feeling definitely not a car for twice twisty roads actually but for looking calling and making some noise and just appreciating as a thing of beauty it's a winner and for doing endless downshifts there's that point there where it just sounds incredible so the callum vanquish 25 is now back safely in the aston martin tank island showroom is it worth half a million well i'll let you guys decide that but before i left i got very distracted with something else indeed this is the aston martin db4 gt continuation one of 25 and it will set you back around 1.5 million the car is sadly not road legal well at least in switzerland anyway but it is a car of pure beauty but thanks for watching today's video please make sure to check out the crow next link below the video who is the sponsor of the castle luke channel but for me it is ciao for now you\n"
