I did play a few games like Modern Combat 5 and Asphalt 8 on my phone, and while the gaming performance was well okay, there were no heating issues even after prolonged use. The colored icons and quick settings to represent what's on and what's not are also a welcome addition to the phone's UI. Furthermore, the phone's grouping of notifications feature allows users to easily manage multiple apps at once by long-pressing the recent app button.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a big screen water-resistant phone with a premium look and feel that can handle your multimedia needs without breaking the bank, the Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 is an excellent choice.
