**Issues with the Keyboard and Performance**
Hopefully, we'll see fixes for things like that soon. I haven't had any issues specifically, so if I say Minecraft, I don't have that problem how about Filmic Pro? You'll see it's nice and fast, so the keyboard is okay of course, it's on the latest device, so hopefully it should be but I haven't seen any lag with the keyboard but I know that's a concern for a lot of people on iOS 14.2 but performance seems solid so far.
**Battery Life**
It will take a few days to know what battery life is like. Battery life can take a while to measure and of course, I've been using my iPad mainly but this iPhone my 11 Pro Max of course, I'm using for these videos but it's not my main phone right now. I've been testing the iPhone 12 Pro and so if you haven't seen my videos on that be sure to check those. But I've been using this and I'm not going to put a beta on this just yet but as far as the battery health on my phone from last year, I have ninety three percent battery health which is great for a year ten percent a year seems to be about normal eighty percent after two years is normal and so we'll have to see how battery life is. I'll be using it on a couple of different devices mainly my iPad because this is my main device when I'm not editing video.
**Geekbench Scores**
Now, other than that, I did run Geekbench on these devices so let's go into that. I was not particularly impressed with the Geekbench scores right away but maybe they'll get better. I did run 2 on the 11 Pro Max so we'll take a look at just the phones for now and you'll see 1601 for single core, 3941 for multi-cores what I scored on the 12 Pro if we take a look at the 11 Pro Max let's go to the same thing. I had 1336 from single core and 3272 for multi-core this is a general idea of what it should be like but that's kind of low since the previous one, it's down you'll see initially it was in the 2000s for this the multi-core that's why I say it goes up if you try it maybe it's completing background tasks so I would expect it to go up again if I test it but expect the same sort of performance everything basically feels the same now with the iPad Pro. You can see the Geekbench score is completed and it has 1129 for single core, 4657 for multi-core so they're all fairly decent like I said expect them to go up a little bit over the next few hours or days depending on what's going on in the background.
**Beta Release**
As far as when to expect the beta releases well, usually it's going to be a bi-weekly cycle so probably in another two weeks or so I don't know that they're going to release it the week of thanksgiving in the United States but they may and Apple did say that the Apple Pro Raw feature would be out by the end of the year for the iPhone 12 Pro and the iPhone 12 Pro Max so maybe we'll see 14.3 released to the public before the end of the year it's really interesting to see what they're doing with this update I hope to find more features in it a little bit later and if I do I'll post a follow-up video with those features in it.
**Closing**

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enHi everyone Aaron here for Zollotech and today Apple released ios 14.3 developer beta 1. now this is a little bit interesting because earlier today apple released mac os big sur then they had all sorts of problems and may still be having problems now and then they released ios 14.3 to download but not install over the air then they pulled it then they put it back then they removed it again then they put it back and now it's available over the air to all beta testers so if you're a developer you'll be able to get it public beta testers may be a little bit longer or a little bit later now this particular update came in at 4.42 gigabytes on my iphone 12 pro and it can vary depending on if you're installing over the air or if you downloaded and installed it could be up to six gigabytes depending on which device you're using i've also installed it on the iphone 11 pro max as well as the 2020 ipad pro 12.9 now along with this apple also released ipad os 14.3 beta 1 watch os 7.2 beta 1 as well as tv os 14.3 beta 1. so a lot of different updates came out today and then there's also updates for not only mac os big sur but also updates to different apps such as iwork and final cut and also all sorts of things in preparation for the new macs coming out this coming week now before we take a look at what's new let's go ahead and take a look at the build number so we'll go to settings then we'll go down to general then about now as you can see the build number is 18c 5044f and this particular build does add a couple new features and the first one that it adds is a modem update so whether you're on the iphone 11 pro max or something else you should have a modem update and hopefully it continues to improve connectivity depending on the device you're on now the major things in this update well there's a couple that are specific to iphone 12 pro and 12 pro max but the first thing is less exciting the first time you open the app store go into the app store it will give you a new pop-up saying what's new on the app store and arcade app privacy details so this is an all new pop-up and it says learn how developers may handle your data on app product pages so you can protect your privacy hit continue and you're in so nothing particularly exciting there but it's a new splash screen i got it on each one of these devices after i updated now the major feature that's coming to the iphone 12 pro and 12 pro max is apple pro raw and as you can see on the iphone 12 pro i opened the camera and now it says raw with a little line through it if i tap on it i can take a raw photo which will allow me to better manipulate it and change some of its qualities later on now the nice thing is after you take apple prora photos they look just the same as they would before but now you have better control if you want to export this to your mac or even do it on your iphone you can better edit this and have better control whether that be in pixelmator pro or maybe just iphoto here or photos rather and if we go in iphoto hasn't been out in a while so if we go in here we can greatly manipulate this go in change everything from brilliance we can change noise reduction all sorts of things and then we can save the change or not save it but we should have better control just like you would if you took a raw photo with an slr or mirrorless camera now you do have to enable this so if you're not seeing it and you have a 12 pro or 12 pro or 12 pro max go into settings and then you need to go down to camera under camera go to formats under formats make sure you have it checked with apple pro raw i turned it onto high efficiency but it tells you pro raw is a 12-bit format or a 12-bit file that uses the linear dng format to retain more information so you can see that each file is about 25 megabytes so you don't want to use this regularly unless you want it for an image you want to change later on because it will take up a lot of space now other than that there's a new section in the health app so if we go into health go in here go to browse there's a new pregnancy section in here and now there's other data and you can find a bunch of other things but if you search for pregnancy you'll find it if you're not seeing it go to pregnancy and we have data about pregnancy it's just an additional thing they've added so nothing particularly exciting but that's something they've added here now in addition to the feature i mentioned in the health app apple is also apparently adding cardio fitness notifications in the future with watch os 7.2 now they've indicated that this will be there but there's no setting that i found and what it does is notify you when your cardio fitness reaches a level where you may experience limitations in your daily activity so under notifications i really couldn't find anything i tried to look around see if i could find it under heart it's not there yet but this probably has to do with the new vo2 max feature with the new watch series six and so hopefully we'll see that with watch os 7.2 it looks like we will with more notifications so again i don't see it in here but it is a feature that's coming soon with ios 14.3 now within the code of ios 14.3 apple is indicating that we should be able to update devices paired to home within the app finally instead of having to go out of the app into the app of whatever you're controlling with home so what i mean by that is maybe you have some phillips hue lights or maybe you have something along the lines of lifx lights and normally you would have to go out of this app go into say the lifx app update it and then go back into home soon you'll be able to do it from the home app itself and just update everything just like you update your phone so hopefully we'll see that really soon i'm glad they added it it makes things more central to home and then you can control everything from here in the future so i'm looking forward to that you would just go into it go into your settings and then update it throughout the settings in here instead of having to leave the app every time now additionally apple has said there's a new feature for app clips by scanning app clip codes using the camera you should be able to use app clips soon i haven't seen any indications of app clips even though this was mentioned with ios 14 but it's added to 14.3 so we should see that pretty soon now apple has also updated weather in ios 14.3 with health recommendations provided for specific air quality levels in the us uk germany india and mexico provided by brezometer also air quality data will also be available in china very soon so you'll see i have air quality here it says good but this can change depending on the season depending on pollen and all sorts of things so this will be updated for all of those regions with ios 14.3 and recommendations as well now in addition to what i've already mentioned apple added support for the new playstation dualsense wireless controller for the ps5 so if you have one of those you'll be able to use it through your iphone for gaming now and also the luna controller for amazon's gaming service you can use either of those devices to control either your ipad or your iphone with this update now aside from that there's an interesting few things that were found in the code thanks to my friend steve moser so let's go into twitter and you can see one of the things he found was a new pairing video in the find my app in ios 14.3 beta 1. so you can see it has what looks like it's finding different things such as headphones maybe those are the new apple studio headphones a backpack and maybe a suitcase for traveling so maybe we'll have air tags coming sooner than we thought but you get the idea it's looking like there's a new animation looking specifically for different things so that's new and i look forward to that whenever they release it now as far as anything else new in this well i haven't found anything specific other than what i've mentioned already but performance so far feels pretty good of course i'm using it on one of the newest phones so it feels fine now as far as anything new on the ipad pro well there's not really anything new other than what i mentioned with the ps5 controllers for example so nothing specific with that but you can have the same features and whatever bug fixes apple has implemented in this particular update now i know there's quite a few people that were having issues with the keyboard so hopefully we'll see fixes for things like that i haven't had any issues specifically so if i say minecraft i don't have that how about filmic pro you'll see it's nice and fast so the keyboard is okay of course it's on the latest device so it should be but i haven't seen any lag with the keyboard but i know that's a concern for a lot of people on ios 14.2 but performance seems solid so far of course it will take a few days to know what battery life is like battery life can take a while to measure and of course i've been using my ipad mainly but this iphone my 11 pro max of course i'm using for these videos but
