The Making of a Rally Car: A Personal Perspective
I'm going to head over to the airport really quick all right guys, so we made it over to the airport this is a very fun car to drive I know it's not a 1500 horsepower super car but we have close to 500 horsepower in a 2800 lb all-wheel drive monster now we built this thing for rally and Jim con let's see what it does inside of these hangers it should do fairly well I believe we could use a little bit more power but let's see what happens here yeah we could use a bit more power just to bring us around a little quicker here oh try to make that so yeah this would be a fun car to do some Jim Con in now I know there are some dirt roads over this way let's go and see how this thing does on the dirt remember we don't have those Rally wheels on it we have totally stock wheels with a stock width so we're going to be really squirly on the dirt holy crap all right guys so I found this dirt around here a few days ago and I've been messing around with different rally cars that I've built let's see how this one handles it now I usually drive with a manual but uh when I'm trying to talk to you guys it is so hard and to tell you the truth this thing shifts better than you're going to be able to shift anyway a lot of these newer transmissions and these uh newer cars are actually true manual transmissions with actuators and solenoids that change gears for you like the GTR and stuff like that I mean you don't you do not need a stick shift anymore if you're buying a $100,000 car and they can shift faster than any human can ever shift so yeah this thing does pretty good on the dirt now I've seen some guys build a few like GTR rally cars with Horizon and stuff like that but I kind of wanted to keep it WRC I know we we do have about a 100 more horsepower but like I was saying at the beginning it is quite different running in real life versus like Forza itself o the real life version with the 300 horsepower would make you poop even on road this thing is pretty great it's not going to have a super top end but 0 to 60 in 3 seconds is pretty good oh got it flooded out over there we got to stay on nah we're going off off road crazy jumps through here yeah so really what I made this video for was to ask you guys what you want to see in Horizon so a quick little rally car build I mean I'll do drift builds I'll do anything you guys want to see let me know my favorite thing to do now in real life I'm not into Ferraris and Lamborghinis and stuff like that I'm into the smaller less expensive cars that can be souped up I mean um little tuner cars really not exotic I do love the GTR but I'll never be able to own one of those so I completely don't really use it that much in Horizon I like to use cars that you could really actually afford in real life like this little Fiesta obviously we could probably never have all-wheel drive unless they make the RS version like the new Ford Focus RS but it's fun to dream and I'd much rather have one of these cars than a Lamborghini anyway and that's just my opinion on it I love older Subarus 90 Subarus and stuff like that I really really wish they would have put some wagons in here or even a Forester STI something like that would have been really nice to see that and hopefully DLC comes out and we get some Subarus cuz we are in Australia and there are a lot of great Subaru tuners in Australia so let me know what you guys want to see in the comments below and I'll make some more videos I should have some free time tomorrow Sunday and later this week I know a lot oh there went the Gant VR4 my buddy used to have one of those in real life there are a lot of people doing Forza videos right now so I kind of just stayed off of it I did make a video asking you guys if you want to see it but now I'm kind of asking what you want to see a lot of these guys are doing races drift builds stuff like that I don't like building the 1500 horsepower cars and stuff you know we could have probably used the stock engine that came in this um up the displacement on it and made close to 600 horsepower but I really like this torky lowend 1.6 L rally engine
The Beauty of Rally Cars: A Personal Experience
I've always been fascinated by rally cars, and my latest project is no exception. This car, which has almost 500 horsepower, was built for one thing and one thing only: to tackle the toughest rally courses out there. I remember driving it around this hanger, feeling its power and precision, and thinking that maybe, just maybe, we could squeeze a bit more speed out of it. But as we soon discovered, making a rally car isn't just about adding horsepower – it's also about understanding the subtleties of racing.
One of the things I love most about this car is its all-wheel drive system. It's not something you see every day in a production car, but it gives us an incredible amount of traction and control on the road. And let me tell you, that's exactly what we need when tackling those tricky dirt roads – precision and grip are essential for making split-second decisions on the track.
Of course, there's also the issue of gearing. As I mentioned earlier, this car has a stock transmission with actuators and solenoids that change gears automatically. It's not something you're used to in everyday driving, but it's perfect for racing. The problem is that sometimes it feels like the car is shifting too quickly, leaving me struggling to keep up. But once I got accustomed to it, I realized that this was actually one of its strengths – it gave me the confidence to push the car harder and faster.
The thrill of driving a rally car is hard to describe, but it's something that gets your heart racing and makes you feel alive. There's nothing quite like the rush of adrenaline as you take a corner too fast, or the satisfaction of crossing the finish line first. And yet, despite all the speed and power at our disposal, there's also an incredible sense of finesse involved in driving a rally car.
That's what I love most about this project – it's not just about building a fast car, but about understanding how to use it to its full potential. It's about learning to read the road, anticipating the corners and jumps ahead of time, and making split-second decisions that can make all the difference between victory and defeat.
The Art of Drifting: A Favorite Hobby
Now in real life I'm not into Ferraris and Lamborghinis and stuff like that I'm into the smaller less expensive cars that can be souped up I mean um little tuner cars really not exotic I do love the GTR but I'll never be able to own one of those so I completely don't really use it that much in Horizon I like to use cars that you could really actually afford in real life like this little Fiesta obviously we could probably never have all-wheel drive unless they make the RS version like the new Ford Focus RS but it's fun to dream and I'd much rather have one of these cars than a Lamborghini anyway and that's just my opinion on it
Drifting is a favorite hobby for many, and I'm no exception. There's something about the smooth, sweeping curves of a well-executed drift that never fails to thrill me. It's not just about speed – it's about finesse, control, and anticipation.
I've spent countless hours practicing my drifting skills, studying the techniques of the pros, and pushing myself to get better. And you know what? It works! I feel like a completely different driver when I'm behind the wheel, more confident, more focused, and more in tune with the car than ever before.
Of course, there's also an element of danger involved in drifting – it can be reckless and unforgiving, especially for beginners. But that's part of what makes it so exciting! The rush of adrenaline as you push the limits of your driving skills is like nothing else.
The Power of Rally Cars: A True Thrill
There's something special about rally cars, something that sets them apart from other types of racing. It's not just about speed – it's about endurance, strategy, and finesse.
When I'm behind the wheel of a rally car, everything comes together – the power, the handling, and the thrill of competition. It's an exhilarating experience that never gets old, no matter how many times I do it.
The rush of adrenaline as you take on the toughest courses is unlike anything else. The anticipation builds up as you line up for a jump or corner, your heart racing with excitement. And then, in an instant, everything becomes one – the car, the track, and the road all blend together into a single, cohesive experience.
And that's what I love most about this project – it's not just about building a fast car, but about understanding how to use it to its full potential. It's about learning to read the road, anticipating the corners and jumps ahead of time, and making split-second decisions that can make all the difference between victory and defeat.
The Future of Rally Cars: What's Next?
Now I know a lot oh there went the Gant VR4 my buddy used to have one of those in real life there are a lot of people doing Forza videos right now so I kind of just stayed off of it I did make a video asking you guys if you want to see it but now I'm kind of asking what you want to see a lot of these guys are doing races drift builds stuff like that I don't like building the 1500 horsepower cars and stuff I do love the GTR but I'll never be able to own one of those so I completely don't really use it that much in Horizon I like to use cars that you could really actually afford in real life like this little Fiesta
The future of rally cars is bright, with new technologies and innovations on the horizon. From advanced aerodynamics to sophisticated electronic systems, there's no shortage of exciting developments to look forward to.
One thing that's definitely on my radar is the rise of hybrid and electric rally cars. With their increased efficiency and reduced emissions, they're poised to revolutionize the sport and make it more sustainable for generations to come.
Another trend I'm keeping an eye on is the increasing use of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) in rally cars. From semi-autonomous gearboxes to advanced stability control systems, these technologies are set to transform the way we drive and compete in the sport.
And let's not forget about the thrill of competition itself! The biggest events in the world, like the World Rally Championship, continue to draw huge crowds and deliver heart-stopping action on track. With their rich history, incredible talent, and non-stop excitement, these events are a must-watch for any rally fan.
The Thrill of Drifting: A Never-Ending Adventure
I do love the GTR but I'll never be able to own one of those so I completely don't really use it that much in Horizon I like to use cars that you could really actually afford in real life like this little Fiesta obviously we could probably never have all-wheel drive unless they make the RS version like the new Ford Focus RS but it's fun to dream and I'd much rather have one of these cars than a Lamborghini anyway and that's just my opinion on it
Drifting is a hobby that never ends – there's always room for improvement, always something new to learn. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner just starting out, drifting is an exciting and challenging sport that will keep you hooked from start to finish.
The thrill of discovery as you explore new techniques and gain more experience is unmatched. Every time I push myself harder and faster, every corner I master and every jump I nail – it's all part of the journey, never-ending and exhilarating.
And besides, what's not to love about drifting? The rush of adrenaline, the smooth curves, the thrill of competition... It's an adventure that never gets old, a constant source of excitement and inspiration.
