My Favorite Functional Fitness Cross Training Shoe: A Battle Between Reebok and Nike
As I stood in front of my closet, scanning through the rows of shoes, I couldn't help but feel a strong pull towards the Reebok Nano X. The way it matched my outfit perfectly was just the icing on the cake. But, I knew that Nike was also in the running (pun intended) for my favorite cross training shoe. In this article, I'll be discussing both Reebok and Nike's top contenders for the best CrossFit training shoe, and why they're worth considering.
Reebok Nano X: A Game-Changer
The Reebok Nano X is a versatile and comfortable shoe that has quickly become my go-to for cross training. Its stability and flatness make it perfect for lateral movements and box jumps, while its cushioning provides the necessary support for running and lifting. I'm impressed by the arch support, which allows me to run longer distances without feeling any discomfort. The Nano X also boasts a more flexible toe box than its predecessor, making it easier to move around in.
One of the main reasons I love the Reebok Nano X is that it's designed for versatility. Whether you're doing burpees, jump squats, or kettlebell swings, this shoe has got you covered. The Nano X also comes in a range of colors and styles, making it easy to find a pair that matches your personal aesthetic.
Nike Renew Sneaker: A Close Second
The Nike Renew sneaker is another top contender for the best CrossFit training shoe. Its stability and flatness are on par with the Reebok Nano X, making it perfect for high-intensity workouts. I'm also impressed by its cushioning, which provides a comfortable ride even during the most intense exercises.
One of the main differences between the Nike Renew and the Reebok Nano X is the tongue design. The Renew has a lower profile than the Nano X, making it feel more snug and secure on the foot. However, some users have complained about the tongue being too stiff, which can be a drawback for those with wider feet.
Comparison Time
When it comes to comparing the Reebok Nano X and Nike Renew sneakers, there are a few key differences to consider. Both shoes offer excellent stability and cushioning, but the Nano X has a wider toe box and more flexible material. The Renew, on the other hand, has a lower profile tongue that provides a snugger fit.
Ultimately, the choice between these two shoes comes down to personal preference. If you have wide feet or prefer a more relaxed fit, the Reebok Nano X may be the better choice. However, if you're looking for a shoe with a more secure, snug fit, the Nike Renew sneaker is worth considering.
My Verdict
As much as I love both the Reebok Nano X and Nike Renew sneakers, I have to give the edge to the Nano X. Its versatility, comfort, and style make it the perfect choice for cross training enthusiasts. However, if you're looking for a shoe with a more secure fit or prefer the Nike brand, the Renew is definitely worth considering.
In conclusion, when it comes to functional fitness cross training shoes, Reebok and Nike are two of the top contenders. Both brands offer excellent stability, cushioning, and style, but the Reebok Nano X takes the cake for its versatility and comfort. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or just starting out on your fitness journey, I recommend checking out these two shoes and finding the one that works best for you.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enI really wanted this in every color that they have but when I went back in and I was trying to get other colors a lot of them were sold out so it seems that I am not the only one that loves this shoe what's up everyone Sarah grace here and today I am going to be talking about what my favorite functional fitness cross training shoe is of 2020 I've got Reebok and I've got Nike here and they are going head-to-head in this battle of what is the best CrossFit training shoe this is really really hard for me actually because I love both of these shoes right here is the Reebok Nano X it actually matches my outfit awesome so I'm like really feeling a strong pull towards this one and this nike renew sneaker is amazing I really wanted this in every color that they have but when I went back in and I was trying to get other colors a lot of them are sold out so it seems that I am not the only one that loves this shoe so I guess I'll start with Nike basically I love that it is very stable and flat but it's also pretty cushiony but there's a lot of movement room for your feet to move which is great for cross-training you want a shoe that's flat that's lower to the ground and allows your feet to almost kind of your toes to like grab onto the floor and it's also really stable up here like in the ankle in the top of your foot which is great for that lateral movements the box jumps you want some cushion there but you still want to be able to feel what you're doing and be able to move so I was just really really impressed with this shoe I liked the arch support I feel like I could run not long distance but I could include running into my workout and I could do lifting in it as well and that's the main thing with cross-training is you want to be able to lift so that could be squatting doing kettlebell work dead lifting then you want to be able to do box jumps running burpees that's really what you want to be able to do in one shoe with the Reebok Nano X they have now dropped the Cross Fit part but it's still the same shoe and this one I'm really impressed with I definitely like it better than the nine the difference I would say from the nine is that this one is maybe not as like stiff in the ankle the only thing is the tongue does go higher than the nine so the 9 was a little lower but it was kind of like a stiffer shoe and then this one the tongue goes a little higher but it's a more mobile shoe I don't love the high tongue so that's the only thing that I don't really dig with this shoe but I do like the toe box being more flexible and the fact that you kind of feel like you have more room and you can do more like lateral movements running is a little better I think than the 9 as well so I definitely think 10 is better than 9 again rebuff has always nailed it with being a good shoe for lifting so you can do cleans you can do squats you can do snatches you could do box jumps and you have the nice stability in the shoe and I would just say probably that again it's just a little bit more mobile than the previous shoe and even the one probably before that so out of these two I can't really decide on which one I love the most well as far as one over the other I would say they are both equally strong shoes for cross-training I think it's going to depend a lot on each person's individual opinion I would say this one is a wider toe box and probably a little bit more mobile this one's a little bit of a narrower toe box so if you have a wide foot you might lean towards nan-oh X also this one comes up a little higher around the ankle some people might like that if you feel like you need more ankle support this one is going to be lower on the ankle and I feel like it's more supportive in in this area here on the top of the foot so those are kind of the main differences with the shoe check them out Reebok comm Nike comm I'm not getting paid from either of these companies so this is just my unbiased opinion no
