2k panel so on a 1080p one like the one we have here it has outstanding performance scoring well over 50 000 on antutu blazing through all the latest 2d 2.5 d and 3d titles the mi4c has more power than any phone from last year with the most powerful offerings having the snapdragon 801 this chip is much much better and you can tell in almost everything you do whether it's scrolling through the ui flicking through menus or using google maps to navigate your way home it's very very snappy there's something which is quite difficult to describe about this phone which isn't present in cheaper phones like the redmi note 2 but it has this feel of sophistication and class which is very rarely found this is a unibody design and it fits gorgeously in hand the finish they've chosen is about as good as it gets for plastic it's matte and it doesn't attract too many fingerprints it just feels very very compact and well made we've also got the quite controversial usb type-c which at the minute doesn't really bring too many benefits with it but hopefully in the future we'll start to see a use for it so like the redmi note 2 the mi4c also runs miui and the operating system is very very similar based off the latest and greatest android 5.1 but looking nothing like it this is a slick smooth and very very customizable experience it's not for everybody though it's kind of tending more towards a childish playful look than android's clean sophisticated flat look it does however take advantage of the touchscreen display it uses things like gestures things like scrolling even from the home screen just to be able to very quickly achieve what you want to so it is still in a sense just as functional as stock android you just need to get used to it there's also some really cool extra settings things like a child mode and my favorite is edge controls giving just two taps on the side of the phone not even touching the screen will actually allow you to go back and this can also be used to trigger things such as taking photos in the camera app it's very very cool there's a multi-colored notification light and also tons of audio effects but this is generally tailored to xiaomi products like the xiaomi earphones and doesn't really do much for generic ones battery life was also great the 3080 million power battery pushed me quite easily into my second day of usage now the camera was good but not fantastic as with almost every phone these days it has a 13 megapixel sensor and the images it produces in the correct lighting conditions actually do make that justified we're getting much more color in shots than with the redmi note 2 and the shutter time is also faster but still not as fast as sort of flagship devices with maybe a snapdragon 810 or the exynos 7420 and while the images do have plenty of detail video is not too great with the only shooting at 1080p at 30 frames per second so now we'll take a quick listen to the speakers of the me4c okay so that wasn't my sort of typical sound test i normally use a song of some sort but hopefully it helped illustrate that voices do come out very nicely and you can also hear a lot of layers to the music plenty of background tunes going on and so although it's not overwhelming in terms of bass it has actually quite a nice sound i really really wish it was but the mi4c isn't perfect it does have quite a lot of bloatware on which means you really don't have too much space for apps you need to get an sd card on top of that a lot of the phone is tailored to chinese audience it's in chinese language and doesn't really feel like a western offering the whole phone is of course usable but it just feels in certain parts of the menus and stuff that they've not done a great job clearing it up so that is it
