16 32 and 64 GB models and is in black and white these models can be found on your carrier website or at the Apple Store the carriers that the iPhone 4S runs on is Verizon Sprint and AT&T let's talk talk about some of the changes that the iPhone 4S brings to the table first we take a look at the rear facing camera the rear facing camera has an 8 megapixel camera with a total of five lenses built into it versus the four lenses in which we find on the iPhone 4 it has 1080p video capabilities and you can upload to Youtube in that as well finally taking pictures with this it has a 2.4 aperture this is a video test using the front-facing camera on the iPhone 4S we are outside right now in my backyard once again it's still about 10:00 it's a nice day in Chicago it's about 70° and there's really not a single cloud in the sky right now we are doing a live video test from the 8 megapixel camera shooting in 1080P of my backyard it's about 10:00 in the morning the lighting of the sun is pretty good and I'm definitely very impressed by the quality of it and how much color it actually picks up some cameras really do lack that another difference is we are upgrading to an A5 chip not to mention a dual core A5 chip on the iPhone 4 the last generation we had a single core A4 and on the 3Gs we had a single core A3 so this will definitely increase your browsing to be a lot faster than the four and a tremendous increase from the previous generation iPhone models let's kind of do a semi-speed test as you can see in the upper right hand corner or the upper left hand corner excuse me I am on Wi-Fi and I have decent coverage let's try to go to the Internet so I have a blank page right here deny the bookmarks see how quickly it can get me to YouTube more specifically my Channel get it all typed in there go 3 4 five 5 Seconds total at least that's what I counted and then you can you know toggle in there so it looks great the display is great the speed is perfect down here at least from what I'm experiencing from going through to my 3gs to a 4S one thing that I did want to note is Apple says on AT&T at least that you will be getting 4G speed speeds or 14.4 megabits per second I found this kind of deceiving because I was able to get 5.8 megabits per second on 3G on five bars in pretty much the epicenter of Chicago um that is where I was testing the whole speed out and everything um and that's a bit disappointing because I thought I would at least get seven on 3G five bars but that was not happening so Apple so scratch that I put it on Wi-Fi with Wi-Fi I got about 8 megabits per second uh it was around it was like 8.1 so I mean still we're not getting close to we're not even getting past 10 or even close to 14.4 megabits per second as Apple said so take this in mind uh that you will not be getting the maximum um speed you can with this maybe it's just my area maybe they haven't even came out with it I don't know but I was a little bit disappointed on that needless to say that it is still a very fast phone and it doesn't ever lag one thing that I'm very fond about with the iPhone 4S and hopefully it comes to the iPhone 4 is Siri Siri is your personal assistant at least that's what Apple quotes I would consider a friend that can help you so if you haven't already enabled Siri you need to go to new settings General turn Siri on and then you can fill out the rest of the information there but without further Ado let's say hello so hold down the home button let's ask her a question Siri what's the weather like tomorrow I don't know where you are you can turn on location services in settings then I'll know where you are or you can just tell me where to check the weather Siri please check the weather for the ZIP code 64 the weather's looking good name pretty pretty spot on um so I really like Siri on the iPhone 4S hopefully it comes to the iPhone 4 uh because I think the iPhone 4 users who did not get to upgrade or did not get the chance should get a feeling of what Siri is like gaming in the iPhone 4S is awesome so we're just going to touch into tiny wings really quickly I already have a game going going to try to get back up and going but one thing that is nice is it shows the game pretty clearly I don't know if you guys can see that too well but on where I'm looking at least in a well lit lit room it looks great there's no lag at all um all the colors are really shown to their maximum potential and finally it's so reactive the screen on my 3GS wasn't doing so well but when I upgraded it to this I would make a slight touch and it would go it would react to it simply so I love gaming on this and it will work great for any game that you play next iOS 5 is one of my favorite things on the iPhone 4S you will not have to plug your iPhone or any other IE device you have into the computer computer again to sync it with uh new software or your music but you can buy a song it will go to your computer and this system is called the cloud to access the cloud you need to go into settings scroll down go to iCloud you have all your calendars all your other junk right there you can go to storage and backup and apple gives you 5 GB of memory which you can store stuff to the cloud there but if that's not enough for you say you're a business or something you can buy more storage if you need it also you can back your iPhone or any other I device you have up on the uh on iCloud which is always really nice so going back one of the last great features about iOS 5 is the drag down menu when you get a text message or something it will pop up here or an email or a tweet whatever you do for social networking but the custom defaulted widgets and the only ones that are there is the weather this is the weather in my city and the stacks I wish you could add your own widget because it could give you a little bit more customization feel for the drag down bar but I'm still pretty happy with iOS 5 and it's definitely a must to for an upgrade so in conclusion I would definitely recommend the iPhone 4S to people that have a previous generation iPhone such as the 3G 3GS or the original iPhone if you have an iPhone 4 I would not recommend upgrading hopefully they have Siri come out for the iPhone 4 if they don't that could be some something you would want to upgrade to if you a huge Apple Fanboy or fan girl uh and you just need to have all the Apple products obviously you should upgrade I really love my iPhone 4S the camera the speed the retina display the HD FaceTime is something I really did lack on the 3Gs I
