What's Up Guys: iOS 11.1.2 Update Released

Hey guys, my name is Brandon, and after dropping iOS 11.2 beta 3 a few days ago, Apple has released iOS 11.1.2 to the public. In this video, we're going to be talking about what's new and what's changed in this latest public release.

When Apple releases a point update like a "lemon" (point 1.2) on a Thursday, it usually means they're trying to quickly patch up some issues that users were facing on the previous version. And that's exactly what this update does. You can tell that pretty much instantly by the size of this update. It's just a mere 51.4 megabytes here on my iPhone 10, and this is coming from iOS 11.1.1.

Let's take a look at the build number for this version. If we go to General About, you can see that the build number for this version is 15B0-2. Now, let's go back over here to the changes in this update, and you can see that it fixes an issue where the iPhone 10 screen becomes temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid temperature drop. This was an issue that was in the news recently, and a lot of people are kind of bashing Apple for not addressing it sooner. But, basically, if you went from hot to cold like hot to really cold, your iPhone 10 would become unresponsive on the screen.

Apparently, this issue affected a very small percentage of people, so I don't think I'll be experiencing that on my own iPhone 10, since I live in Florida and don't get too much cold weather. But from what I understand, it was a problem that some people faced, and Apple did take notice of it and decided to release a fix for it here with iOS 11.1.2.

The second change that this update addresses is an issue that could cause distortion in live photos of videos captured with iPhone 10. Now, again, I never experienced this on my own iPhone 10, since I didn't have any issues with the camera or video playback. But apparently, some people had problems with their live photos looking distorted, and Apple fixed it here with iOS 11.1.2.

Aside from these two fixes, there's really nothing else new with iOS 11.1.2. When I looked through all the menus and everything, I didn't notice anything that stood out as a major change or update. It seems like this update is just a minor patch to fix some issues that were reported by users.

This update was released for all devices, including iPhone tonight, both of which get fixes for issues faced on the iPhone 10. However, it's worth noting that this update might be available for other devices as well, since Apple doesn't always limit updates to specific devices or models.

As for battery life and performance, I wouldn't expect anything to change significantly here with iOS 11.1.2. Since this is just a point update, it shouldn't affect the overall performance of your device. And, based on what I've seen so far, Apple doesn't usually do anything to intentionally hurt battery life or performance in point updates like this.

That's pretty much it for iOS 11.1.2. It's another small update from Apple, and if you're interested in staying up-to-date with the latest software, I recommend checking out this video every time a new update is released. And don't forget to let me know in the comments below if there's anything new that you found in this update that I missed. You can also follow me on Twitter for more iOS-related content and updates. Thanks for watching the video, guys, and I'll see you soon!

we're gonna be talking about what's new and what's changed here in this latest public release so first of all when Apple releases a point update like a lemon point 1.2 on a Thursday that usually means they're trying to quickly patch up some issues that users were facing on the previous version that's exactly what this update does and you can tell that pretty much instantly by the size of this update so it's just a mere 51 point four megabytes here on my iPhone 10 and this is coming from iOS 11 point 1.1 and you can read the changes right there if you want but we're gonna go ahead and talk about those in a few seconds after we take a look at the build number so let's go to general about and you can see there the build number for this version is 15 B to 0-2 and if we go right back over here to the changes here in this update you can see that it fixes an issue where the iPhone 10 screen becomes temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid temperature drop so this was an issue that was in the news recently and a lot of people are kind of bashing Apple 4 even though a very small number of people actually faced this issue but basically if you went from hot to cold like hot to really cold basically you're screaming to become unresponsive on the iPhone 10 so obviously I live in Florida so I don't really have too much cold weather down here so I never experienced this but from what I understand it was a very very small percentage of people that you know had this issue but Apple did take note of it and they did decide to release a fix for it here with eleven point one point two which is nice and you can see here the second change is addresses an issue that could cause distortion and live photos of videos captured with iPhone 10 now once again this is something that I never faced on my iPhone 10 I actually never even heard about this and till this update came out and I researched and found some people that were complaining about it but none of my followers over on Twitter and nobody in the YouTube comments had this issue so I never even heard about this issue until the fix came but it's good the Apple is still looking out for that small percentage of people that were facing that and they did fix it here with this update now aside from these two fixes there's really nothing else new with eleven point one point two I look through all the menus and everything and nothing appears to be changed at all now this was released for all devices both these updates are both the fixes in this update come for the iPhone tonight both fix issues that were faced on the iPhone 10 but this update is still available for all other devices including the iPads so there might be some other small back-end bug fixes and security enhancements but nothing that you're really going to notice expected with a point up day especially on a Thursday as far as battery life and performance you could pretty much count on it being exactly the same as 11 point 1.1 I
