Picking up Two New Drift Chassis!

**New Limited Edition Print and Upcoming Adventure**

We've got some exciting news to share with our community! We have a brand new limited edition print going live on the site, and it's going to be a highly anticipated release. There will only be 350 of these prints available, each one signed by the artist at 6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time today. To enter for a chance to win the 24 karat blitz, simply spend $5 or more on any item on our site. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity!

But that's not all - we're about to embark on an adventure of a lifetime! We're heading to Titan, where we'll be picking up two chassis shells (or rollers) for our daily adventures on the trailer. The journey is just as exciting as the destination, with three turns ahead of us. Our first hint is that we've rolled up to Tight's, where we've received a message from some friends over at Titan that they have two chassis laying around that might interest us.

As it turns out, these chassis were originally purchased for a course designed to test engine performance and handling. We're going to use them as a testing ground to improve our customers' turnarounds and get their engines running smoother. To do this, we need to check the strut tower condition, as front-end damage can sometimes affect the rear end. Luckily, our red car was already running and driving, pulling off the trailer before parts were removed.

However, the white car is a different story. We're not sure how bad the damage was, so we've had to take some measurements to determine if it's salvageable. The frame rails are aluminum, but they've been bent in several places. It looks like there might be enough usable parts from this car that we can transfer over to the other one. And speaking of transferring parts, our friend Johan noticed that the hit was so bad that it even affected the door on the white car.

We're not going to reveal too much about what's next in store for these chassis shells just yet. Let's just say that we've got some exciting plans in mind, and we can't wait to share them with you. We'll be heading to Urban Aide, where we won't be filming another video on the Supra after this one. But before we go, we want to hear from you! Leave a comment below and let us know if you're stoked to see some A90 content back on the channel.

In preparation for our upcoming adventure, we've been taking measurements of both chassis shells to determine their condition. We'll be using these tests to make adjustments and get them ready for action. As always, we want to say thanks for taking away their junk - it's going to be a wild ride!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up guys welcome to today's video man i picked the perfect time to get away came back to florida it's like in the 60s and 70s here the sun just came out so now it's probably like high 70s it's beautiful we've been working with the shop doors open let me give you a quick kind of shop update on what's going on before we jump into the day turbo s is absolutely filthy from that road trip so the homie jeff is going to come over give her a nice detail today get her looking all shiny stoked i had the ppf because it probably saved me from some rock chips between all the highway and dragon slaying stoked on this car had a ball has 13s in the shop because i need to get another battery for it and another maf since i stole him for the green car evo's on the lift now that we know the engine is good just kind of doing a bolt check on it i am waiting to order some different pads the endless pads that i had gotten were more of like a street and light track pad and i overheated the crap out of them with the slicks and i don't want to take this car back to the track until i have better brakes because that was the one thing that was kind of affecting me the last time i went i could feel them starting to fade way quicker than i would want them to green car is just waiting for the sr to go back together heads at the machine shop getting a valve job and getting resurfaced sam it led us in on a little trick that they do over in japan and we used a sanding stone that you'd use for like sharpening a knife to go over the block to just clean it up and get rid of any uh kind of excess material high spots or low spots without having to take the whole thing apart and bring it to the machine shop i know i don't film this area much but since we've had a little bit of chill time for once marco has been reorganizing this whole section uh the tire machine is going to wind up going here we're going to do a little swiss tracks corner but all the parts that used to fill this entire bay are now pretty much all moved up there and organized which i can show you guys probably at another date we got a few more shelves to add up there it's finally coming along you guys know i've been using gopros for years now i am extremely stoked though my first time officially working with gopro they sent me out the new hero 10 black and i'm gonna try it out for some video today pretty similar footprint to my nine most of its differences come from its powerful new gp2 engine that lets it do 5.3 k 60 frames per second which even though i upload in 1080 it can be convenient to film sometimes in a high resolution for screen grabs and stuff just 23 megapixel pictures rugged and waterproof like the nine what i'm excited about the most is to go try out hyper smooth 4.0 it does automatically upload to the cloud as well so that's convenient i wanted to get some test footage drifting and i thought rather than drifting a car you guys already have seen drifter on the compound i'd ask dorothy if i could pilot his latest build i'm so excited to drive this thing after watching those videos it's fine after so long of you asking here it is dorto just had a testing session at osw with chelsea so the car didn't pass his standards it passed every standard he actually liked this one better than the green one believe it or not so i wonder why front radiator lighter simpler so this setup right here if you don't know what you're looking at this is an n a 2j build now with the price of 2js uh this is kind of the way to go now what's the price difference you're looking at between like a n a 2j build versus you can build this a whole ge motor for the same price as buying just a stock gt that's pretty much it i got this motor for i would say i actually got the car the car was a thousand bucks i pulled the g motor out of it the lexus is 300 and we built the motor i think for six grand total so you can't beat that like people are selling the gtes for six to eight thousand so this is definitely a better choice to go not to mention too you could probably hold a lot more power with the ge i'm at the point kind of where gte is where they're getting so old and it's kind of like a dice roll knowing what you're going to get where i would rather kind of have the peace of mind knowing i have a forged bottom end than some old stock 2j internals that some drag racer probably beat the out of in japan yeah it's actually it's it's definitely the way to go it made decent power we really haven't pushed the time into anything lance was pretty conservative with it it's making 600 right now and it's dialed in it sounds great so this will be your clutch kicker's car for next year so you don't have to it's been a three-year commitment to get to this point so that can i say that it's what it's going to go on yeah so you will be putting that n54 back in another e46 which will be a cool build but this car to him is kind of like the s15 to me i didn't want to destroy my mona lisa so i built a car that resembled that and then this is kind of the same thing budget build well hey it always starts like that yeah you know how it goes so this thing revs high makes a bunch of torque it's light should be fun and uh we're gonna take it for a ripper on the compound i'm gonna do something that i've been hesitant to do in the past and i'm gonna let you in on my little gopro secret so to get the in-car footage that i like the most leave hyper smooth on high and then when you go to lens put it in linear and what that does because of the way that hyper smooth works when you're drifting it'll actually make it look like you have a gimbal in the car that will follow the direction of travel and that's how i get all the shots from the in-car that look like i have some sort of like thing going back and forth you guys will see something about to go rip it but a lot of people ask how i do it hyper smooth plus linear that's the trick this will actually be my first time drifting with the n54 trans so this is the same six speed that i'm going to have that pmc made me an adapter kit for for mysr so i'm excited to see how this feels me this is literally the easiest car i've ever driven in my life it feels like someone took the e36 and like made it slightly bigger and like a little bit more tame and just kind of like everything slow motion it's cool all right oh um me um another trick about the in-car footage i always set the ev comp to like negative one or negative one and a half what that does is it kind of adjusts the entire scale of things down so you don't have like the gopro trying to blow out the outside of the window shot to make the inside bright enough so that way it kind of just tones everything down so your shot through the window is clear and like that exposure's good and then in-car might just be a little dark um but it's worked really well for me and i know you guys like thing car footage i'm gonna give a massive thank you to gopro for sponsoring this video pretty freaking cool i've been a big fan of their products for a while and i hope they continue to sponsor more videos maybe please could always use more gopros you know what i'm saying dart day thank you for letting me shred your car this thing is fun if you guys have any questions about ge stuff feel free to hit up sales drift hq dot com they can help you sort out an engine build parts manifolds turbos we got it all in stock ready to ship but i know you guys saw the title in this video and i know we gotta get into what you all have been waiting for quick announcement we have our newest limited edition print going live on the site it'll be 350 of them and each one will be signed at 6 p.m eastern standard time today so make sure you set a reminder when you spend five dollars on this or anything else on the site you could enter for a chance to win the 24 karat blitz so don't miss out we are going on a journey to go pick up two cars or not really cars i guess you call them chassis shells rollers oh no there's my money where we're going is close to you on tower sleepers daily on the trailer we're gonna rip over in the truck i don't know how much i give away in the title but i i feel like this is gonna be slightly unexpected it was unexpected for me hopefully it's a good decision what are you wrong i was not roasting i just said you want threw his daily on it yeah bro i'd say anything bad we got backseat booth he can't handle the front seat i heard so yeah there's like three turns on the way to titan really all right your first hint is that we rolled up to tight i got a text from the homies over at titan that they had two chassis laying around that we might be interested in any guesses mike had to bring the super out the mona lisa here we are perfect so you said the story with these you guys got them for a course for your engines yeah so you can build those and get better turn around for customers yeah exactly get the tape measure so the and have you measured these yourself i have not okay so the biggest thing we want to do this car was in a rear end crash this car was in a front end crash we're going to check to make sure the strut towers haven't moved because the front stuff can always cut in tube front but you don't want to mess it when the strut tower is removed and like one slash over half so usually you don't have two cars next to each other when you're trying to do this if it has moved it's moved like one hash mark so one system yeah so we knew the red car was running and driving pulled off the trailer before they pulled parts off it the white car however we were on the fence about because we didn't know how bad the damage was yon will kind of explain you what he's found so far so what i've seen here we just did a couple of measurements and like i was able to tell that these truck towers move back half an inch and um the frame rail obviously you see it's like aiming down um so on here i saw you could see somewhat that most of the uh hit it took it bent to this point and then from this point on it seems like it's straight but that right there tells me it's not um these frame rails are aluminum and then derivative back here it's possible that you we could find the frame rails i've seen the frame rails online and you could take them out swap them over um it's just hard to tell we're just looking at the cars good thing is we have the car we could take measurements off and see how bad this front end is and then we could adjust from there yeah that car is a great sports car from this one's like it this one is not salvage salvageable you could take things you need for that car from from this one you know what we could do with this one yohan but was thinking it'll be pretty cool like you've seen it where they like cut pretty much everything out of the car but leave the interior for a simulator yeah so like use the whole interior and build like a little sim cockpit out of it yeah i'm just saying two a-90 supras multiple srs laying around yeah i mean there's a lot of space in here one thing johan noticed the hit was so bad that it even affected the door back there it's a done deal sir pleasure doing business with you as always for taking away their junk keep going boys well this one see i told you to make a great scene huh um foreign uh look at that look at that lever all right guys i think i'm gonna end the video here i know i haven't really said what the purpose for these things are what engine what i'm gonna do with them i'm sure you guys might have some guesses we gotta leave for uh urbandale so there isn't going to be another video on the supras after this but i want to see what you guys expect leave some comments down below and let me know if you're stoked to see some a90 content back on the channel all right later guys bye uh\n"
