The Significance of Teotihuacán: A Reflection by Marisa

I am Marisa, and I must say that my experience at Teotihuacán has been nothing short of incredible. The moment I stepped foot on this ancient site, I felt a deep connection to the land and its people. It is a place where you are supposed to come to work hard and face your fears. The four points of cardinal directions - north, south, east, and west - are perfectly aligned, creating an energy that is both powerful and serene.

As I walked through the site, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the majesty of Teotihuacán. It is a place where you can hold the four doors of perception, and it is indeed perfect because you are a great warrior. You have to face your fears and doubts head-on in order to truly experience this site. I remember saying to myself, "I didn't know what to expect," but as I walked through the gates, I knew that I was in for an incredible journey.

The contact between the people of their roots and the way they relate to their gastronomy was something that really stood out to me. It is a tradition that has been passed down through generations, and it warms my heart to see how it continues to be celebrated today. There's nothing better than ending the day with the family eating some delicious food together - pork beans, tortillas, a little fruit, and a good drink of pulque.

My grandparents were those who went on excursions to collect water from the countryside, carrying a bottle with them every time they left their homes. It is something that we have been hearing throughout this trip, and it has made me realize how important it is to take care of our tradition and include our resources in our daily lives. What I see here at Teotihuacán is like the apex of everything you are experiencing - it's a culmination of all your senses, all your experiences.

The people I have spoken with throughout this trip have shared with me their love for this place, and how it has become an integral part of their identity. They speak about the importance of respecting and preserving our heritage, and I couldn't agree more. As we continue on our journey, I am grateful to be surrounded by such kind and generous people who are passionate about sharing their culture with others.

The food here is indeed something special - huge big tacos, big cakes, and all sorts of delicious treats that seem to have been passed down through generations. The mothers in this community are truly the backbone of the society, as they work tirelessly to feed an army of people. Their love and dedication are a testament to the power of family and community.

In many ways, Teotihuacán has become a symbol of everything we value - tradition, culture, food, and family. It is a place where our ancestors once walked, and it is still alive today. As I reflect on my time here, I realize that this experience has changed me in profound ways. I have seen the importance of taking care of our roots and including our resources in our daily lives. And I know that I will carry the memories of this incredible place with me for a long time to come.
