DEFINE XL R2 V.S. 12グラム散弾銃

The Art of Building a Case That Can Withstand Anything

As I zoom out to show my beautiful case, it's clear that it has taken a beating. The side panel is peeled off, and the back looks like it's been through a war. But despite all the damage, there is still no penetration. In fact, after 10 shots with a 12 gauge shotgun, only one pallet got through.

I want to show you what I did here, starting with the XL side panel number one. I shot it once, and no penetration was achieved. Next up is the XL side panel number two, which also received zero penetration after a single shot. Now, let's take a look at the computing case, which was hit with just one round. And finally, we have the Define XL, which took 10 shots to get through on the 12 gauge shotgun.

But I know what you're thinking - why not use a 12 gauge slug or buckshot? The truth is, this case side panel isn't designed to stop something like that. It's more like your foot when you get pissed off playing BF3 and kick it. And let me tell you, 12 gaug shotgun rounds can be pretty impressive. In fact, with just 10 shots, only one pallet was able to penetrate the case.

So why am I sharing this with you? Well, we're launching a new series called n mod basic, where we want to encourage you to send us pictures of your systems with cases that you think are less than ideal. We'll pick a winner, and the lucky winner will receive a brand new fractal design case. But here's the twist - we also want you to vote on ways to destroy their old case. It's all about getting rid of crappy cases with extreme prejudice.

And speaking of destruction, I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with how my case has held up so far. The side panel is peeled off, and there are definitely some scratches and dents in the back. But despite all the damage, it's still holding strong. And I think that's what makes this series so much fun - we get to see how people's cases hold up under extreme conditions.

So if you're thinking of entering our n mod basic series, make sure to send us a picture of your case and tell us about its history. We want to hear all about it! And who knows - maybe one day we'll have a whole collection of destroyed cases that were once thought to be unbeatable.
