HTC One Max Phablet Unboxing First Boot & Overview

The HTC One M8 1 Max: A High-End Android Smartphone Review

The back cover of the HTC One M8 1 Max is openable, but unfortunately, the battery is sealed and not user replaceable. The phone comes equipped with a large 3,300mAh battery, which may seem like an unusual choice for a high-end smartphone. While it's understandable that HTC may have wanted to minimize weight and size in their design, it would have been nice to see a removable battery option.

One of the notable features of this phone is its screen quality and looks. The display is great, with vibrant colors and excellent brightness levels. However, as we can see from the video review, the HTC One M8 1 Max comes out of the box with Android 4.3 and HTC Sense 5.5. While it's a nice update to Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean that was available on previous HTC phones, some users may be disappointed by the lack of recent updates and improvements.

The phone is also available in two variants: 16GB and 32GB of internal storage. The good news is that this storage can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card slot. However, it's worth noting that the phone still uses the Snapdragon 600 chipset, which may seem outdated compared to some of the latest high-end Android smartphones.

The HTC One M8 1 Max also features a sleek and futuristic design, complete with a metal body and a unique fingerprint scanner on the back. The fingerprint scanner is set up quickly and easily, and it provides fast and accurate biometric security. The phone also comes equipped with a standard keyboard, which can be accessed by sliding up from the bottom of the screen.

In terms of performance, the HTC One M8 1 Max delivers smooth and responsive performance, even with demanding tasks like gaming and video playback. The phone's quad-core processor is clocked at 1.7GHz, and it's paired with 2GB of RAM for a total of 4GB of system memory.

When it comes to storage, the HTC One M8 1 Max is available in two variants: 16GB and 32GB. The good news is that this storage can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card slot. However, as we can see from the specifications, only 10.43GB of that expansion space is actually available due to the way Android handles file allocation.

One of the standout features of the HTC One M8 1 Max is its camera. The phone features a 4 ultra pixel camera on the back, which delivers excellent results in low-light conditions. However, as we can see from the video review, the camera may struggle with focus and color accuracy at times. Still, overall, the camera does a great job of capturing high-quality images.

In terms of connectivity, the HTC One M8 1 Max supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and NFC. It also features a USB port for charging and data transfer.

Finally, it's worth noting that the HTC One M8 1 Max has received some mixed reviews from critics and users alike. While some have praised its sleek design and camera performance, others have criticized its lack of recent updates and improvements, as well as its outdated chipset.

Overall, the HTC One M8 1 Max is a solid choice for those looking for a high-end Android smartphone with a unique design and excellent camera performance. However, it's worth considering whether or not this phone meets your specific needs and expectations.

it's huge and to give you an idea let me bring this this is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which has a 5.7 in screen and this 1 Max has a 5.9 in screen so still it looks big and one thing is that as I said earlier it's actually a little bit heavy and the weight for this HTC 1 Max is 2117 G but the Note 3 weighs just 168 G so it's a pretty heavy phone so if you like heavy phones some people like the heft of those heft on the phones so you might uh like this a Max one and now let me give you a physical overview first uh on the top we have this IR Blaster this is not the power button and one thing I noticed right away is that uh these are made up of plastic not metal chamford like we had on the HTC1 we have the 3.5mm headphone jack over here and this is the volume rocker it's uh made up of metal and the power button also has been shifted over here so it's easy to use it easily reaches here to your hand the power button nothing else over here again that plastic finish we have the main microphone micro USB slot that'll be used for charging and syncing the phone and on this end uh we just have this slot and using this we can open the back cover I'll come back to it a bit later and on with the most of the HTC1 uh uh HTC1 mini and also the Max has so I'm hoping that the sound quality will be very good we have additional sensors and the huge 5.9 in screen and the glass is made up of Gorilla Glass and it's a 1080p screen again on the bottom we have two touch type capacitive buttons that's the back and this is for the home and let's try to open up the back cover you you need to replaceable battery the battery battery is sealed here and that's a 3,300 mamp battery so interesting choice they should have provided a removable what do you say battery as uh now they are providing Amazon us it was retailing unlocked version for around $780 to $790 so uh it's not a cheap phone it's a pretty expensive phone uh high-end phone from HTC but it's hard to see that HTC is still using the Snapdragon 600 chipset because most of the latest high-end Android phones have started using uh what do you say the Snapdragon 600 uh 800 chipset and these this is it still comes with the HTC One blink feed and you just swipe here to get back to your uh other home screens and this this is the app tray already we have some folders that are built in like this and some specific apps are so it looks like out of that 16 GB uh the available storage that you get is 10.43 GB U but you can add a Micro SD card up to 64 GB let's also look at uh what do you say here is the interesting thing that is the fingerprint scanner and here it shows us how to uh set it up I'll set it up a bit later and uh let's also uh look at some other things as we are connected right now to my Wi-Fi connection
