Nexus 5 KitKat Google Experience Launcher on Moto G

**Setting Up the Google Now Launcher on Your Moto G**

If you want to experience the latest Android features on your Moto G, you can install the Google Now Launcher. This launcher offers a clean and minimalist interface that is similar to the Nexus Experience Launcher. To start, download the APK file for the Google Now Launcher from the YouTube show notes. Make sure to enable Unknown Sources in the Settings app to allow the installation of the APK.

Before installing the launcher, make sure that your Google Search app is updated. You can do this by searching for "Google search" on the Play Store and updating it to the latest version. Once you have downloaded and installed the APK, launch the Astro file manager and navigate to the downloads folder. You should see the Google Home APK file. Press install to begin the installation process.

Once the installation is complete, accept the terms of service and press done to finish setting up the launcher. The next time you hit the home button, it will ask for the launcher to be installed. Select this option to choose the Google Now Launcher as your default launcher.

**Using the Google Now Launcher**

The Google Now Launcher offers a range of features that are similar to those found on Nexus devices. One of the most useful features is the ability to access hot keywords with just a voice command. For example, you can say "Okay Google" followed by what you want to know, such as "What's the weather like?" or "Set an alarm for 6:30 p.m." The launcher also offers a range of widgets and wallpapers that can be customized to suit your preferences.

To access these features, swipe down from the home screen to open the drawer. From here, you can access various options such as setting an alarm, checking the weather, or searching for something online. You can also customize the look and feel of the launcher by changing the wallpaper or adding widgets.

**Adding Home Screens and Customizing the Launcher**

One of the unique features of the Google Now Launcher is that it does not come with pre-installed home screens. This means that you will need to add your own home screens manually. To do this, simply hold down on an empty area of the home screen and a new window will appear where you can customize the look and feel of your home screen.

You can also change the background image or add widgets to your home screen by holding down on the widget and dragging it to the desired location. The launcher also offers a range of customizable options, such as changing the font size or color scheme, which can be accessed from the settings menu.

**Disabling the Google Now Launcher**

If you want to switch back to your default Moto launcher or use a different launcher altogether, it is easy to do so. To disable the Google Now Launcher, go to the Settings app and select "Home" from the list of options. From here, choose the option that corresponds to your current launcher, such as "Google Now Launcher", and select "Change launcher". This will take you back to the home screen with your default Moto launcher.

Alternatively, you can also disable the Google Now Launcher by going back to the home screen and pressing the back button until you reach the home screen. From here, press the back button again to go back to the settings menu, where you can select "Home" from the list of options and choose the option that corresponds to your current launcher.

**Conclusion**

The Google Now Launcher is a powerful tool for Android users who want to experience the latest features on their Moto G. With its clean and minimalist interface, customizable widgets and wallpapers, and range of hot keywords, this launcher offers a unique and user-friendly experience. Whether you're looking to switch back to your default Moto launcher or try out something new, setting up the Google Now Launcher is easy and straightforward.
