Apple's iOS 11.3 Beta Now Available for Developers
Apple has been working tirelessly on a major update for its popular mobile operating system, iOS 11, and it's finally starting to reveal some of its exciting new features to developers. The latest beta version, iOS 11.3, is now available for download, offering a glimpse into the company's plans for the spring update.
In addition to the iOS 11.3 beta, Apple has also released a RK at 1.5 to developers, which can turn posters, signs, and artwork into interactive AR experiences. Imagine being able to fill a museum with interactive exhibits or bring a movie poster to life - it's exciting stuff! This technology uses augmented reality (AR) to recognize and place virtual objects on vertical surfaces like walls and doors, and it can also map irregularly shaped surfaces like circular tables.
Another feature that's been added in iOS 11.3 is support for advanced mobile location services. When making a call to emergency services in countries where AM L is supported, the system will automatically send a user's current location. This is a significant improvement over previous versions of iOS and should provide an additional layer of safety and security.
Apple has also introduced a new business chat feature in iOS 11.3, which allows users to communicate directly with businesses right within messages. Users will be able to have conversations with service representatives, schedule appointments, and even make purchases using Apple Pay all from the Messages app. This is a great way for customers to get support and assistance without having to leave the app they're already using.
In terms of security, iOS 11.3 includes improved health records management. The system now brings together hospitals, clinics, and existing health out to make it easier for consumers to access their medical data from multiple providers whenever they choose. Patients will be able to receive regular notifications about their lab results, medications, conditions, and more - all encrypted and protected with a passcode.
The iBooks app has also been updated in iOS 11.3, with the name being simplified to "Books". This change is likely intended to make it easier for users to find what they're looking for when browsing through Apple's library of e-books.
In other news, four new emoji characters have been added to iOS 11.3 - a dragon, bear skull, lion messages, and iCloud returns. These new additions bring the total number of emojis available in iOS 11.3 to 16, making it easier for users to express themselves through text messaging and social media.
Apple Music videos are also set to be included in iOS 11.3, although they won't be available immediately. When released, Apple Music will offer new music video playlists from favorite artists, providing a fresh way for fans to experience their music.
Lastly, the update is compatible with iPhone 5s and later, all iPad air models, iPad pro models, iPad fifth-generation, iPad Mini 2, and sixth-generation iPod Touch. Developers can now get their hands on iOS 11.3 starting today, Wednesday the 24th, with a public beta available in the near future.
Healthcare providers are also set to benefit from iOS 11.3, as at least a dozen will support health records. More providers will be announced soon, and those interested can find out more information on Apple's website.
Overall, the iOS 11.3 update is shaping up to be an exciting one, with new features and improvements that will enhance the user experience and make it easier for developers to create innovative apps. As always, we'll be keeping a close eye on developments and bringing you updates as they become available.
