Learning YouTube The Hard Way. What do you mean I’m out of storage

Why I Stopped Posting Videos to YouTube: A Confession

I've been asked why I stopped posting videos to YouTube, and I'm here to give you the answer. To be honest, I'm not very good at this. I don't know anything about gadgets and the Internet. I don't know anything about gigabytes and megabytes, storage and iCloud, iTunes and hard drives. In fact, I don't know much of anything when it comes to technology. But, as they say, "you can train a monkey," so I've trained myself to use these things despite not knowing how they work.

I downloaded an app called Luma Fusion, which is supposed to be awesome, but I have no idea how it works. I'm using my iPhone, which I think is an iPhone 10x (although I'm not entirely sure). I've been filming everything on this phone because, well, it's just easier than carrying around a separate camera. Long story short, I completely used up all the storage on my phone and all of my cloud storage. I have no idea what the cloud is, but apparently, my data was going to be stored there. When the cloud got full, my phone wouldn't get rid of the stuff I had stored on it, so it froze up.

This whole ordeal has been a week-long nightmare for me. I've got good footage that I don't want to lose, and I have no idea how to back it up or transfer it to another device. I'm shocked that people in this day and age still struggle with technology like I am. I can buy things online, watch YouTube videos, but typing and understanding the inner workings of these devices is a whole different story.

On top of all this technical chaos, I'm also running a tow company during our busy summer season. We're short-staffed, which means it's extremely demanding to be on the job 24/7. My phones crashed, and none of my apps are working properly. Keeping my guys dispatched and taking care of our clients and customers is a headache with all this other stuff going on.

But even with all these challenges, I'm excited about something new: an online store that we're launching soon. We've got the gear, and the store is in place. We just need to move some things around to get everything up and running. It's been a long time coming, but it'll be worth it when it's finally ready.

So, there you have it. That's why I stopped posting videos to YouTube. It's not because I don't want to share my experiences with others; it's just that technology is overwhelming me right now. Maybe one day, I'll figure it out and get back into the habit of sharing my adventures online. Until then, stay tuned for updates from my tow company and derby car racing endeavors.

Day Two at Lake Powell: A Sand Hill Adventure

We're camping at Lone Rock in Lake Powell, which is a beautiful spot. Today, we decided to hike up a sand hill that's become a popular destination for thrill-seekers. The problem is, the hill is ridiculously hot – 140 degrees Celsius, according to our friends who have braved it before. We were told not to wear shoes because it was too scorching, so we decided to take off our sneakers and proceed with caution.

As we climbed the sand hill, the heat became unbearable. I was sweating buckets, and my feet were burning from the sand. But that wasn't the worst part – Rudy, one of our friends, had been tricked into walking up the hill once before and thought he could do it without shoes. He didn't. We had to go back down and get him out of there before he got hurt.

I have to admit, I was impressed by how far we made it on the first attempt. The views from the top were breathtaking – we could see for miles in every direction. But the descent was just as challenging as the ascent. We were all hot, thirsty, and exhausted by the time we reached the bottom.

Despite the heat and the challenges, we had a great time hiking up and down the sand hill. It's definitely an adventure that I wouldn't recommend to everyone – especially not without proper gear and precautions. But for those who are willing to take on the challenge, it's an experience they'll never forget.
