Best Budget Headphone from Sony MDR-ZX110A Review

The Sony Budget Oriented Headphones Review

As I took out the Sony budget oriented headphones from the packaging, I noticed that it has some issues with the padding being slightly less on the ear cups which might cause discomfort if accidentally worn while sleeping. The driver size is 30mm which seems impressive but still feels a bit small for my taste. However, upon further inspection, I realized that the drivers produce surprisingly good sound quality.

One thing that caught my attention was the wire quality of these headphones. It's a thick V-shaped wire which is not as flimsy as most budget oriented headphones tend to be. This shows that the manufacturer has put some thought into the design and materials used in the construction of the headphones. The 3.5mm headphone jack is also an angular design, which suggests that it's been designed with care.

The sound quality of these Sony headphones is actually quite impressive for their price tag, which is less than $10 (600 rupees). I've not heard a better sound at this price point from any other headphone. However, like any other product, there are some compromises. The vocals have a warm signature to them, and the bass is slightly boosted, which may appeal to some listeners but might not be ideal for others.

The one thing that I noticed was that the high treble notes were slightly muted and not as bright as they could be. This might be a problem for metalheads or anyone who likes their music with a lot of high-end detail. However, for those who listen primarily to vocals and don't mind a warmer sound, these headphones should be perfectly fine.

Now, let's divide this review into pros and cons. One of the things I liked about these Sony budget oriented headphones is their wire quality. It's actually very good, and the fact that it's not flimsy makes it a great selling point for me. The foldable design also makes them easy to store when not in use.

On the other hand, one thing that disappointed me was the creaking sound that these headphones make due to their completely plastic construction. This might be annoying at times, especially if you're rough on your gear. Also, as with most budget oriented headphones, they have a slightly flimsy build quality which may not appeal to everyone.

In terms of price to performance ratio, I think these Sony headphones do an incredible job for the price tag. They sound better than other budget oriented headphones like the Motorola MOTO PSE 2, which sells in India for around 700 rupees. The fact that they have a solid design and good build quality makes them stand out from the competition.

However, if I had to rate these Sony headphones based on their overall performance, I would give them an 8 out of 10. They lose some points due to the lack of high treble notes, but for the price, I think they're a great value. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone looking for a good pair of budget oriented headphones.

Rating Breakdown:

* Sound Quality: 9/10

* Build Quality: 7/10

* Price to Performance Ratio: 9/10

* Overall Performance: 8/10

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the Sony budget oriented headphones are an impressive product that offers great sound quality at a very affordable price. While they may not be perfect due to some minor flaws in design and build quality, I think they're well worth considering for anyone looking for a good pair of headphones without breaking the bank.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is ranit and in this video we're going to do the review for these budget oriented headphones from Sony and uh these are known as the MD RZ 1110 these are extremely affordable they cost just around 600 rupees here in India that's less than $10 and in August of 2016 when I purchase them I purchased it for 5.49 rupees that's just about 8 us so how are these uh headphones Let's uh explore that in this review and I'll be dividing this review between pros and cons and also compare uh this headphones with some other budget oriented headphones that I have tested but uh before we proceed uh let me actually give you an overview about these headphones so these are the headphones and immediately you'll notice that uh the entire construction is actually made up of uh plastic there is no metal as you can see even this extended bands plastic so again considering the cost uh you can't complain too much but it's entirely made up of plastic and even this hinges over here that you see are plastic it does fold in like this so that's a good thing so you can carry it around easily uh but again it does make some creaking noise over here if you move it at times that's what I have noticed due to that plastic uh Bel uh good thing is that these year caps actually Flex a little bit so so that way when you wear them it's actually comfortable and it counters to your head uh but when we move to the Y pads as you can see again to cut down the cost uh the your pads are not very for me in general day-to-day usage they were fine I didn't have any issues but if accidentally you're wearing this and you fall asleep then it starts hurting your ear because the padding is a little bit less so that's what I have noticed um the drivers are surprisingly good it's a 30 mm driver that we have I'll talk about the sound quality later and uh the wire quality is also actually good it's a thick V it's not a very flimsy V generally on budget oriented headphones they compromise on the VRE but that's not the case and this is the 3.5 mm headphone uh Jack that is again angular so this one is uh actually good quality uh so apart from the plastic build quality uh you have to compromise but uh let me talk about the sound I would have to say the sound quality for the price that's less than uh $10 less than 600 rupees is actually very good I haven't heard this good uh uh sound at this price point from a headphone uh but again everything is not perfect in terms of vocals the vocals are good it has sort of a warm signature to it and even the base is slightly boosted which many people will like but when it comes to high and the treble notes I feel they could have been a bit sharper they are sort of little bit muted and not that bright so that is the only con that I've noticed in the sound but uh if you listen to mostly vocals and uh stuff it should be fine but if you're a metal head then that lack of uh uh treble might Anno you a little bit so that's the only thing but if I have to rate them just based on the sound and the price sound to the price then I have to rate them nine out of 10 because at this price point I haven't seen heard anything that sounds this good barring that uh treble that could have been a little bit uh better so what do I feel about these Sony budget oriented headphones let's divide this review between the pros and cons what are the things that I liked about this and what are the things that I did not like about this and first let's talk about the good things that I liked about this as I mentioned earlier I like the wire quality the wire quality is actually very good on this one and also it's relatively very light to wear uh they just weigh around 100 20 G so even if you wear for an hour or two it is uh comfortable to wear it's not heavy and also the 30 mm drivers do produce a good amount of sound as I've mentioned earlier also and I also like the fact that it has that foldable design so you can easily actually fold them and store it like this easily but now let's move to the things that I actually did not like about these headphones and the first thing is that you might have also noticed the creaking sound that it can sort of make because it's completely made up of plastic which can be sort of annoying at times and also as it's completely made up of plastic again you have to be careful with it uh if you bend it too much there is a possibility that these might break again it's not for rough uh users but if we talk about the price to Performance ratio uh here I feel they do a fantastic job and in fact if I have to compare it with some of the other headphones that I have reviewed earlier for example I know I might get this question I had reviewed these Motorola MOTO PSE 2 budget oriented headphones earlier and these sell in India for around 700 rupees so price difference of just about 100 rupees so how do they compare to this Moto pulse too I have to say if I have to say overall uh uh these Sony ones do sound better than these Moto pulse 2 even in terms of build quality the Sony ones are better compared to the Moto pulse 2 so if you have to pick uh one between these two definitely the Sony would be my uh B uh so for the price I feel they do an incredible job and now if I have to rate these I would uh as I mentioned earlier if I have to just rate it based on the sound quality to price to Performance ratio then I would give it a solid 9 out of 10 it loses some points because of the uh lack of high tones and trebles they are not very pronounced uh but for the price I have to say uh they sound actually really good but but if I have to rate it overall uh then it loses some points because of that plastic build and the build quality and the creaking sound that it makes so if I have to rate it overall I would rate them 8 out of 10 again I hope you found this uh video review helpful and if you're not subscribed to my YouTube
