My Experience at The Last Bookstore

It's been a few days since I went to our last bookstore together, and I never talked about it afterwards. I don't know why I just never did. Let's close out this video and talk about my experience at The Last Bookstore. I didn't end up buying anything from it. I feel like that was the smallest bookstore out of all of the ones we went to. They did have a good selection, though - they had popular books, as well as some lesser-known titles.

I also loved the little tables that the workers put out and gave descriptions about the books. These little tables were set up with books, totes, and other cute little items that caught my eye. I love reading those descriptions and learning more about the books before making a purchase. Unfortunately, The Last Bookstore's selection didn't have anything that really stood out to me, so I ended up not buying anything.

I did feel like their selection was limited - they only had one or two copies of each book, which made it difficult for me to find something I wanted to buy. This was a bit of a bummer, but I know that I've been to this bookstore before and have liked it in the past. I've even been back there more often than any other store we've visited.

Book Shopping Fun

Going to different bookstores has really made my day, though. I love browsing through the shelves without having to buy anything - it's like a fun little escape from my daily routine. I also love discovering new books that I wouldn't have normally picked up. There was one bookstore where I saw "A Blind Date with a Book" on the shelf, and I ended up buying it because of how intriguing it sounded.

This experience has really been enjoyable for me, and I think what makes it so great is that you never know what you're going to find when you go into a bookstore. Sometimes it's something new that catches your eye, and other times it's just browsing through the shelves and finding something old. In this case, The Last Bookstore was full of books that I wouldn't normally buy, which made my experience even more enjoyable.

New Books for the Week

This week, I ended up getting a few new books that I'm really excited about! First, there's "Indivisible Girl" by Lisa Jewell, which is my Thriller mystery book for the week. I've heard great things about this author and am hoping to get lost in this story.

Next up is "One Day" by Frederick Buechner, which I'm really looking forward to reading. I've heard that it's a literary fiction type of book, but from what I've read about it, I think it might be more than just that - it seems like it could be something special.

Finally, there's "Blush" by Emily Henry, which I'm saving for the summer. I love Emily Henry's writing style and am excited to dive into this new book of hers. And last but not least, there's "Adrien GE", a short little book that has piqued my interest with its dark and mysterious vibe.

A Range of Books

Over the past few weeks, I've ended up getting an interesting range of books - from Thrillers to literary fiction, and even something for the summer. It's funny how sometimes you don't really know what you're looking for when you go into a bookstore, but then you end up finding exactly that.

I have to admit, I might be exaggerating a bit about this - I've probably bought books in the past as well. But from what I remember, it seems like I haven't picked up a book since "Carsson City 3", which could be a pretty bad memory on my part! Regardless, these are definitely some of the books that I'm excited to get into.

The Last Bookstore and Me

I want to give a special shoutout to The Last Bookstore - it's one of my favorite bookstores that we've visited so far. I've been there more often than any other store on our list, and I love browsing through their shelves and discovering new books. It's always such a pleasure to go into this bookstore and just see what catches my eye.

mine but probably all of our favorite things one of our favorite things do ever and that is going to the bookstores going book shopping buying new books seeing different bookstores now I feel like I usually go to Barnes & Noble together or I bring you guys with me to Barnes and that's usually the bookstore I tend to go to just because they're so much closer to my house and I feel like they always have the books that I need but there are a few not local but there are a few bookstores around New Jersey that are they're a little bit further for my house to go to like every day when I want to go buy a book or pick up a book but I thought we can go to a few of them together this week I've been to a few of them before and I really want to check some out there's also a new one I want to check out so I thought it would be fun going together now I don't necessarily know if we're going to be book shopping I don't have any books on my radar but I feel like if I'm going to a book book store like the chances of me buying books are really really high but that's not really on my radar I kind just want to check out some of these bookstores that I haven't been to there's two I haven't been to one of them is newer the other ones I've been to but I don't go to them often like I said they're not too close to my house so I definitely want to go to all these bookstores together there are five of them we're going to be shopping at or looking around at and just getting the atmosphere and stuff I feel like if I'm having a good day if I'm having a bad day if I'm sad if I'm happy any of these different emotions going to a bookstore either helps the sad mood or I mean enhances the happy one so I'm really excited we're going to go to our first two today are like 5 minutes from each other and I haven't been to one of them which we're going to go to First and I'm really excited I've been to the town that it's in but I've never been to this bookstore the second one we're going to I have been there before I used get my hair done on like the same street that's over there not anymore but I've been there plenty of times and I know there's a few coffee shops orbe there's coffee shop I really want to grab a coffee so we're going to get a coffee we're going to go to some bookstores going be a wonderful day what a wonderful day coffee and book shopping like name something better I don't think you can so let's head on over to our first two bookstores and that's it let's go have a funfilled book day oh my gosh look how cute that is it's perfect oh my God it's so cute I'm so excited oh okay guys I forgot my microphone at home so let me turn the car off oh my there's someone walking past please don't look over here I forgot my microphone at home so if it sounds a little weird I'm sorry bear with me if it sounds kind of okay but I went to the first bookstore and I couldn't film too much in there cuz it was pretty small inside and the worker was doing her job but it was like not quiet but it would have been too noticeable and I feel like when I'm by myself I just can't film in public I don't know what it is but if I'm with like anyone else I'm good with filming by myself this guy is walking past me it is so humbling to being by yourself but if I was with someone else I'd be perfectly fine I don't know what it is about recording things by myself I don't know it was so cute in there they had a little kid section I don't know if I got a clip of it but they little kid section have a little back like area that you could walk into that has like notebooks and journaling stuff and little trinkets type of things it was so so cute they had the new Crescent City book they had good options good choices and I wasn't going to buy anything cuz I was walking around for a while and like nothing was really catching my eye but then I was like I can't leave without buying anything like I feel like I have to I have to buy something so I was going to get a little journal or something but then I went back one more time around through the bookstore and I ended up getting two books which is more than I thought I was going to buy you know why not while I'm in the book store I might as well buy some books but the first one I got is invisible girl invisible Girl by Lisa juwel so I've read a few Lisa juel books I think I've read three at this point two out of three of them I really really really enjoyed I love her writing style and the way she tells her story so picked this one up it wasn't on my radar but I know I like her writing style and her books I'm in a little bit of a thriller mood recently so this is going to be really fun to read I don't know when we're going to have to find some place and some time to read this one the other one I got is Finley Donovan is killing it so this one I've seen so many places I think I've heard that the audio book on this is really good I could have made that up but I got this one because I again I've seen it so many places it's always intrigued me I've always been interested in the story line I don't really know too much of what it's about she's a single mom a struggling novelist and finds her life in chaos she overheard discussing the plot of her new suspense novel with her agent and she's mistaken for a contract Killer and accepts an offer to dispose of a problem husband so that's very interesting these are the books that I got let me know if you've read either one of these your opinions and your thoughts because I want to put this on my TBR cart and kind of get to them sooner rather than later like I said I have to read these in the next like 3 months Max like that is probably like the max timeline of me buying books is if I'm not going to read it over the span of the next 3 months I'm not buying it so we're going to have to read these and then I was going to go to the next bookstore right after that but they weren't even open yet I so I stopped at a little coffee shop to give them some time to open and so that I'm not the first person like literally waiting outside of their door I mean I'm probably going to be one of the first people in because it's still I think they literally just opened a few minutes ago so I'm going to be that eager customer but I stopped at a coffee shop and I got this brown sugar oat milk iced latte I haven't had an iced coffee or iced latte in so long I've been drinking my hot coffee coffees but this delicious like this is the most delicious thing I've had in a very long time oh the way she made it it's phenomenal like I'm obsessed in the color of it everything about this is perfect but we're going to go ahead into our second bookstore this one I have been to before very excited I don't know what I'm going to buy again there's no books on my radar like nothing at all that I want to get so we're going to have to see if I end up buying anything they just opened a few minutes ago so I'm going to go drive over there it's like 2 seconds down the road I just needed to park somewhere not outside of cuz it looks like I'm I was it doesn't look like I'm waiting no I am sitting outside waiting for them to open I need to relax so I drove over here but now we're going to drive back over and be one of their first customers I think they opened literally 3 minutes ago so this is going to be fun okay I am back home from our first day of book shopping together and I did get a book actually let me hide that cuz I'm going to talk about the store first I don't know if it's cuz I haven't been to this one in a while but I couldn't find it at first cuz last time I went which I guess it has been a while it was on the other side of the little town little street that was on so I put in my maps and it was actually on the other side I guess they moved locations and I didn't know that they had a little coffee shop inside a little coffee cafe whatever and they added kind of seats you can sit in there and do stuff it's really really really cute I think they I don't know if it's in my head that they moved or I'm making that up from what I remember it was not there whatever not the point there's a little girl with her I think it was her grandparents in there and she was like buying books they were going to the zoo after I was like kind of e droing on what they were saying but I mean it was quiet in there and I just heard them talking it was so cute they had a used book section all the way in the back which was really nice there were some like popular ones that I saw back there and what I love about these like local bookstores and like smaller owned book shops is that the way that they're all set up is so different and so unique to what the store is I feel like I'm going to Barnes I know which section is where I know what I'm finding I know there's going to be multiple of a copy but when you go these little local book stores you don't know what you're going to find which I think is so fun like you don't know what popular books are going to be there or other books that you don't really see often are going to be like out on display and they always have kind of like staff picks that I feel like are usually at these bookstores and I just love it so much I think it's so unique to each bookstore I think it's so cute so that was really fun this one the bookshelves were cute they had a great selection this one you kind of had to oh I feel like the other one too you kind of had to look really between all of the bookshelves to what you wanted to read they were definitely separated by section but like not too specific so you kind of had to go through each book and try to find what you wanted I feel like if I went in there looking for a specific book you know I don't know if they would have it but the point was just to check out the bookstore see how I felt and I loved them they were so cute the towns they were were so cute I had a great grand old morning I couldn't find a book here that I wanted to get and then I'm kind of just like looking around the bookshelves and this one stood out to me because it's based off a show that recently came out no the this book the show that recently came out is based off of this book so I decided to get the book I want to read this book sometime soon so that I can watch the show and really feel everything about it because this show has gotten really popular I'm so excited to watch it cuz I've seen people crying to it and you guys know how much I love crying to books or just like feeling I don't know why I like to feel like pain through books like why is that a thing I don't know but I've been seeing these reactions to the show and I saw that it's based off a book so I got the book can you tell what book I'm talking about okay it is One Day by David Nichols I'm pretty sure this is an older written book like I'm pretty sure I've seen this like many times before like this isn't a new release okay yeah this came out or this was published originally in 2009 so yeah this one is how long ago was 2009 okay so 15 years ago this came out don't love saying that but I feel like I've seen this book or I've like heard about this book and something before like it's been out for a while so I'm assuming that's why but the show just recently came out and I am so excited to watch it I actually almost started it recently but then I realized there was a book and and I need to read it first I need to feel the full effects of it it's also a motivator for me cuz I really want to watch the show so I need to get to this one so it didn't break my rule I know it will be reading this one less than 3 months because I need to see the show I need to watch all the Tik toks on it I need to have something to hyperfixate on and I'm really excited about this so that was the book that I got from this bookstore that is all for our book shopping Adventure today thank you guys for coming along and I will see you on our next book shopping day I don't know when that'll be but I'll see you then okay we're at our bookstore today apparently it's called The Book House I forgot to look up the name of it I just know it's in this area it's by where I went to school and if Lauren and I had this bookstore here when we were living here it would have been amazing and we would have been here all the time and we would have been broke yeah but I'm so sad it wasn't here when we lived here I'm so excited though we're going to go in see what books I got maybe I'll get some Lauren's looking for some book so there will be some haul of some sort and Lauren's also vlogging today so this bookstore experience will also be on Lauren's reading Corner Channel okay let's go we got to go okay so we went into the book house it was so cute in there the little setup they had was really cute they little seatings in a little kid section the bookshelves setup was so cute doesn't look like a traditional book yeah it doesn't look like the bookshelves in regular bookstores like the built-in ones kind of they had ones that kind of lean up against the wall they're I you saw the clips of them they're really really cute and they had little sections but it wasn't like specifically like romance and fantasy like they were kind of mixed up a little bit it was really cute the way it was set up cuz it wasn't like your usual book store you know what I mean like everything is like in its place anyway it was really really cute they had new releases they had all all the good stuff so I got a book I got bear toown this is one of Lauren's favorite books and I've been telling her for a while I'm going to read it so this will be my TBR and Lauren got a book I got this guy a little life the one that's I'm scared of but I got this because Sarah's going to read it soon and I want to read it we're going to read this one together I'm I'm like actually kind of terrified me too but think if we read it together maybe it'll make it the experience I don't know what I don't know but I'm excited about our choices and if you're anywhere near Pier Village or Long Branch in New Jersey definitely go to book house they were so sweet they just opened this month they said and it's just like the cutest store ever highly recommend that was such a cute store and we will definitely be back at the we love you book house we love you book house we'll be back okay but that's our haul that's our bookstore shopping trip and I will see you at our next book adventure I don't know if Lauren's going to be with us I know so everyone say bye Lauren's reading Corner Bye by love to hear okay guys it is a new day and we are going to go to a new bookstore today I think we're going to go to one that's not as far from my house but is a little bit of a trip but I wanted to do today to go there because they have a coffee shop next door and I'm going to this one in the morning it's 9:53 right now so I wanted to go over there maybe get a coffee sit at the shop go to the bookstore maybe read outside the town is adorable in the summer specifically cuz it's more towards the beach I feel like a lot of the bookstores near me are closer to like the beach area but the town is just so cute especially in like the fall time and the summer time and the springtime when it's winter hard cuz you can't really walk around cuz it's really cold out but it's still beautiful and so cute so I'm really excited about this one I can't wait to see the book options they have the store is just so so cute and the town again is just like adorable yeah that's where we're going to go today I don't know if I'm going to get any books maybe they have some some options for me I don't know it's going be really funfilled book shopping slash book reading Cafe cute Town day is that even a thing I just made it a thing I don't really know let's go get a jacket first of all cuz there's literally snow on the ground and then head over to our bookstore for today I am thoroughly excited okay I just went into the bookstore and I also went to the little coffee shop that's next store and the little cup is red and it matches my outfit and something about like matching outfits like my coffee is red the book in my bag that I brought with me that I'm reading right now it's red I'm wearing red like something about that is really just it's cute I don't know but anyway I went into the book store it's just as cute as I remembered it has like the the ladder it's like really like it's not big but it has like a lot of books and I love the way that it's set up in the bookshelves like the book shelves are dark I don't know the mood of it the vibe of it is so so so cute and they had blind days with books on the side they had that whole like wall that says like staff picks which I think is just so fun and I got to see a few picks from each staff member in their favorite books and I like when you see books that people like it kind of shows a little bit about them so it was really interesting one of the workers had good girls guide to murder and Book Lovers on there so I was like you know what if I ever met that worker we'd probably get along but the worker that was there when I was in in there was so sweet she was asking me if I was looking for anything specific I was like no you know I'm just browsing around honestly wasn't going to buy anything but then I saw the blind dats with books and then I also saw this other book and I picked it up she gave me this fun little free toe which is so fun but I ended up getting two books and I really just did not think I was going to do that but I did and one of them is a blind date with books and she told me not to look on the receipt because it comes up on the receipt of like what the book is but this one I picked up because it says musician protagonist super Woody gloriously Twisted in a darker Daisy Jones in the six which I think is very interesting description of it there's someone walking past I loved Daisy Jones and the six so much and this say it's a darker version of it which I think is kind of interesting so we're going to open this one together and see what it is and then I got this one one cuz the cover was cute two because Emily Henry had a little quote on it and three because the worker said this author actually came to this bookstore and she signed this book and I was like you know what I have to get it like I can't not get this book and I read the summary and I kind of want to read it over the summer time on like a beach or something and I think it's so fun so it's called blush the cover is so cute it takes place at a winery and I think it's about like this family who owned the winery and they uncover like one of the mom's old book clubs books or something and they kind of like uncover things about the family's past but the worker said there's also a little romance in here so I was like you know what I need some of that in the book or else I'm a romance reader I just need some of that just a little bit just a little can't hurt so got this one the cover is really really cute the author is Jamie brener I'm really excited and Emily Henry Ro a quit says a delicious big-hearted book I thought we can open up the blind date with a book together see what it is I'm very curious about what like a darker version of Daisy Jones in the six is and also this paper like rabbit so cute little hearts ooh okay it's called Adrien geel a fiction by David hajdu this is the cover of it that's interesting it says Adrien was a one-of-a-kind artist a Pianist and a composer with a rare neurological condition that enabled her to make music that was nothing less than pure unmediated emotional expression but despite her Renown she mysteriously vanished from public life he tells the full story of her life and work through the memories of those who knew her inspired her and exploited her her parents teachers best friend manager critics lovers she made music so strange so compelling so so utterly unique that it is simply not to be believed that sounds really interesting she said it's like kind of like dark D Jes in the six I'm wondering if it has the same setup as it so if you haven't read d j in the six it's written almost in like an interview so it's kind of as if the author is interviewing each character of the band this looks like it has some interview like it has the character name and then what they said underneath it okay that's really interesting I'm excited about this one it's not one that I feel like I would pick up but I'm happy to have it on my TBR it's also pretty short it's only 192 pages so I feel this would be a quick fun read and something I want to pick up which is what I love about blind books I just recently did a video doing blind dates with books and you just never know what you're going to get and it's really fun surprise cuz you don't know if you're going to love the book and you don't even know anything about it cuz I usually judge books by covers like I literally picked up blush the book that I bought because the cover was cute it had pink on it it was about a winery like I thought it was just a cute cover I'm happy with my my choices for today I told the worker I would come back after I finished blush because she said the author has another book if I like that one that I would like so anyway I'm sitting in front of a brick building that is literally baby pink with a light purple door like is the cutest little store ever like look at this store it's pink and purple is that not the cutest store ever cut building ever this town is absolutely adorable I'm definitely going to come back here sometime soon when I want to take a little bit of a drive but go to another bookstore but it was fun in there it was really cute in there I'll be back when we go to our next bookstore our next book shopping experience together have to pause tap because it is our last day going book shopping together boo boo last day of my excuse to go book shopping and go to bookstores I mean I could go really anytime but like to buy books I feel like this is a great excuse to do it even though I said I don't know if I'm going to buy books at these stores this week I kind of wanted to go see them but as the record is showing I'm buying books at these stores every time I go it's it's a hard thing having self-control in the bookstore you know it's really hard I've been taking pictures of books in the stores I've been going to the ones that I haven't been buying but I want to keep on my radar because there are so many that I want to buy but I know they're going to sit on my shelf or my cart and just sit there until I don't even know when I'm going to read them so like I said my my new rule I just can't buy books I don't think I'm going to read in the near future so there's a lot of my camera roll that I'm hoping to get to or hoping I could buy sometime sometime maybe I don't know in a few months today we are actually going to a very special book store because not only is the one that Lauren and I used to go to during school when we wanted to go kind of not to Barnes it is one of the first places that I took Haley and Destiny when they visited jersey for the very first time it literally was our first full day together we went to this bookstore and you know what it has great memories there so I'm really excited about this one we're leaving off this video on an incredible note with this bookstore it's a smaller bookstore but it's really really cute they have a great selection every time I've been there it's in a really cute part of the town and I'm really excited to go I don't know if I'm going to get a book but I've said that every other time that we've been going to these bookstores so at this point we'll just see like maybe the question really is what book am I going to get instead of I don't know if I'm going to get a book Let's just question myself and see what book am I going to get so I will see you guys once we get to our next location our final location actually our final book shopping experience together not final there's going to be plenty of other book videos of us book shopping together but you know our final one for the one I've been to most of all the ones we've been to or out of all the ones that I've already been to that one I've definitely been more often so that was a week or I think that took a little over a week of book shopping with me it was so much fun I feel like like I said in the beginning just going to different bookstores really just make me happy going into a book store browsing the books I don't have to buy anything like the last book store I didn't have to buy anything or I could buy stuff like the all the other ones but it just makes my day I love this too because when I'm going into books or not really looking for a specific book especially these kind of bookstores I feel like I noticed books that I wouldn't typically buy like there's a few on here one obviously it was a blind date with a book but like some of the other ones I didn't expect to buy that's what I love going to some of these bookstores because you know I guess that's with any book store but you don't know what you're going to get if you're not going in with a specific book in mind and you know I was just browsing and it was just what was calling my name on that day that given specific time of day we got lots of books this week so indivisible Girl by Lisa juwel this is our Thriller mystery I think it's the only Thriller mystery that I got I mean I guess Finley Donovan is killing it is kind of like a comedic Thriller is that what the Vibes are getting fast-paced murder investigation not sure the exact genre but we have this one and then of course one day which I'm so excited to get to again I just need to I need to watch this show already Bear Town by Frederick bman I want to read this soon I've heard really good things about this and I know this is like a literary fiction type of book but I'm excited about this one I feel like I'm going to like this one possibly love it who knows blush which I think I'm going to save for the summer I don't know why the winery Vibes are giving me Summer Vibes cover is so cute and this is the one with the Emily Henry quote on the front my blind date with the book Adrien GE I don't really know how to say it this is a literary fiction this is a short little book but also it said it was giving what like dark Daisy Jones in the 6 so that's very interesting I feel like I definitely got an interesting range of books this past few weeks and I haven't to our first two bookstores and that's it let's go have a funfilled book day oh my gosh look how cute that is it's perfect oh my God it's so cute I'm so excited oh okay guys I forgot my microphone at home so let me turn the car off oh my there's someone walking past please don't look over here I forgot my microphone at home so if it sounds a little weird I'm sorry bear with me if it sounds kind of okay but I went to the first bookstore and I couldn't film too much in there cuz it was pretty small inside and the worker was doing her job but it was like not quiet but it would have been too noticeable and I feel like when I'm by myself I just can't film in public I don't know what it is but if I'm with like anyone else I'm good with filming by myself this guy is walking past me it is so humbling to being by yourself but if I was with someone else I'd be perfectly fine I don't know what it is about recording things by myself I don't know it was so cute in there they had a little kid section I don't know if I got a clip of it but they little kid section have a little back like area that you could walk into that has like notebooks and journaling stuff and little trinkets type of things it was so so cute they had the new Crescent City book they had good options good choices and I wasn't going to buy anything cuz I was walking around for a while and like nothing was really catching my eye but then I was like I can't leave without buying anything like I feel like I have to I have to buy something so I was going to get a little journal or something but then I went back one more time around through the bookstore and I ended up getting two books which is more than I thought I was going to buy you know why not while I'm in the book store I might as well buy some books but the first one I got is invisible girl invisible Girl by Lisa juwel so I've read a few Lisa juel books I think I've read three at this point two out of three of them I really really really enjoyed I love her writing style and the way she tells her story so picked this one up it wasn't on my radar but I know I like her writing style and her books I'm in a little bit of a thriller mood recently so this is going to be really fun to read I don't know when we're going to have to find some place and some time to read this one the other one I got is Finley Donovan is killing it so this one I've seen so many places I think I've heard that the audio book on this is really good I could have made that up but I got this one because I again I've seen it so many places it's always intrigued me I've always been interested in the story line I don't really know too much of what it's about she's a single mom a struggling novelist and finds her life in chaos she overheard discussing the plot of her new suspense novel with her agent and she's mistaken for a contract Killer and accepts an offer to dispose of a problem husband so that's very interesting these are the books that I got let me know if you've read either one of these your opinions and your thoughts because I want to put this on my TBR cart and kind of get to them sooner rather than later like I said I have to read these in the next like 3 months Max like that is probably like the max timeline of me buying books is if I'm not going to read it over the span of the next 3 months I'm not buying it so we're going to have to read these and then I was going to go to the next bookstore right after that but they weren't even open yet I so I stopped at a little coffee shop to give them some time to open and so that I'm not the first person like literally waiting outside of their door I mean I'm probably going to be one of the first people in because it's still I think they literally just opened a few minutes ago so I'm going to be that eager customer but I stopped at a coffee shop and I got this brown sugar oat milk iced latte I haven't had an iced coffee or iced latte in so long I've been drinking my hot coffee coffees but this delicious like this is the most delicious thing I've had in a very long time oh the way she made it it's phenomenal like I'm obsessed in the color of it everything about this is perfect but we're going to go ahead into our second bookstore this one I have been to before very excited I don't know what I'm going to buy again there's no books on my radar like nothing at all that I want to get so we're going to have to see if I end up buying anything they just opened a few minutes ago so I'm going to go drive over there it's like 2 seconds down the road I just needed to park somewhere not outside of cuz it looks like I'm I was it doesn't look like I'm waiting no I am sitting outside waiting for them to open I need to relax so I drove over here but now we're going to drive back over and be one of their first customers I think they opened literally 3 minutes ago so this is going to be fun okay I am back home from our first day of book shopping together and I did get a book actually let me hide that cuz I'm going to talk about the store first I don't know if it's cuz I haven't been to this one in a while but I couldn't find it at first cuz last time I went which I guess it has been a while it was on the other side of the little town little street that was on so I put in my maps and it was actually on the other side I guess they moved locations and I didn't know that they had a little coffee shop inside a little coffee cafe whatever and they added kind of seats you can sit in there and do stuff it's really really really cute I think they I don't know if it's in my head that they moved or I'm making that up from what I remember it was not there whatever not the point there's a little girl with her I think it was her grandparents in there and she was like buying books they were going to the zoo after I was like kind of e droing on what they were saying but I mean it was quiet in there and I just heard them talking it was so cute they had a used book section all the way in the back which was really nice there were some like popular ones that I saw back there and what I love about these like local bookstores and like smaller owned book shops is that the way that they're all set up is so different and so unique to what the store is I feel like I'm going to Barnes I know which section is where I know what I'm finding I know there's going to be multiple of a copy but when you go these little local book stores you don't know what you're going to find which I think is so fun like you don't know what popular books are going to be there or other books that you don't really see often are going to be like out on display and they always have kind of like staff picks that I feel like are usually at these bookstores and I just love it so much I think it's so unique to each bookstore I think it's so cute so that was really fun this one the bookshelves were cute they had a great selection this one you kind of had to oh I feel like the other one too you kind of had to look really between all of the bookshelves to what you wanted to read they were definitely separated by section but like not too specific so you kind of had to go through each book and try to find what you wanted I feel like if I went in there looking for a specific book you know I don't know if they would have it but the point was just to check out the bookstore see how I felt and I loved them they were so cute the towns they were were so cute I had a great grand old morning I couldn't find a book here that I wanted to get and then I'm kind of just like looking around the bookshelves and this one stood out to me because it's based off a show that recently came out no the this book the show that recently came out is based off of this book so I decided to get the book I want to read this book sometime soon so that I can watch the show and really feel everything about it because this show has gotten really popular I'm so excited to watch it cuz I've seen people crying to it and you guys know how much I love crying to books or just like feeling I don't know why I like to feel like pain through books like why is that a thing I don't know but I've been seeing these reactions to the show and I saw that it's based off a book so I got the book can you tell what book I'm talking about okay it is One Day by David Nichols I'm pretty sure this is an older written book like I'm pretty sure I've seen this like many times before like this isn't a new release okay yeah this came out or this was published originally in 2009 so yeah this one is how long ago was 2009 okay so 15 years ago this came out don't love saying that but I feel like I've seen this book or I've like heard about this book and something before like it's been out for a while so I'm assuming that's why but the show just recently came out and I am so excited to watch it I actually almost started it recently but then I realized there was a book and and I need to read it first I need to feel the full effects of it it's also a motivator for me cuz I really want to watch the show so I need to get to this one so it didn't break my rule I know it will be reading this one less than 3 months because I need to see the show I need to watch all the Tik toks on it I need to have something to hyperfixate on and I'm really excited about this so that was the book that I got from excited though we're going to go in see what books I got maybe I'll get some Lauren's looking for some book so there will be some haul of some sort and Lauren's also vlogging today so this bookstore experience will also be on Lauren's reading Corner Channel okay let's go we got to go okay so we went into the book house it was so cute in there the little setup they had was really cute they little seatings in a little kid section the bookshelves setup was so cute doesn't look like a traditional book yeah it doesn't look like the bookshelves in regular bookstores like the built-in ones kind of they had ones that kind of lean up against the wall they're I you saw the clips of them they're really really cute and they had little sections but it wasn't like specifically like romance and fantasy like they were kind of mixed up a little bit it was really cute the way it was set up cuz it wasn't like your usual book store you know what I mean like everything is like in its place anyway it was really really cute they had new releases they had all all the good stuff so I got a book I got bear toown this is one of Lauren's favorite books and I've been telling her for a while I'm going to read it so this will be my TBR and Lauren got a book I got this guy a little life the one that's I'm scared of but I got this because Sarah's going to read it soon and I want to read it we're going to read this one together I'm I'm like actually kind of terrified me too but think if we read it together maybe it'll make it the experience I don't know what I don't know but I'm excited about our choices and if you're anywhere near Pier Village or Long Branch in New Jersey definitely go to book house they were so sweet they just opened this month they said and it's just like the cutest store ever highly recommend that was such a cute store and we will definitely be back at the we love you book house we love you book house we'll be back okay but that's our haul that's our bookstore shopping are going to go to a new bookstore today I think we're going to go to one that's not as far from my house but is a little bit of a trip but I wanted to do today to go there because they have a coffee shop next door and I'm going to this one in the morning it's 9:53 right now so I wanted to go over there maybe get a coffee sit at the shop go to the bookstore maybe read outside the town is adorable in the summer specifically cuz it's more towards the beach I feel like a lot of the bookstores near me are closer to like the beach area but the town is just so cute especially in like the fall time and the summer time and the springtime when it's winter hard cuz you can't really walk around cuz it's really cold out but it's still beautiful and so cute so I'm really excited about this one I can't wait to see the book options they have the store is just so so cute and the town again is just like adorable yeah that's where we're going to go today I don't know if I'm going to get any books maybe they have some some options for me I don't know it's going be really funfilled book shopping slash book reading Cafe cute Town day is that even a thing I just made it a thing I don't really know let's go get a jacket first of all cuz there's literally snow on the ground and then head over to our bookstore for today I am thoroughly excited okay I just went into the bookstore and I also went to the little coffee shop that's next store and the little cup is red and it matches my outfit and something about like matching outfits like my coffee is red the book in my bag that I brought with me that I'm reading right now it's red I'm wearing red like something about that is really just it's cute I don't know but anyway I went into the book store it's just as cute as I remembered it has like the the ladder it's like really like it's not big but it has like a lot of books and I love the way that it's set up in the bookshelves like the book shelves are dark I don't know the mood of it the vibe of it is so so so cute and they had blind days with books on the side they had that whole like wall that says like staff picks which I think is just so fun and I got to see a few picks from each staff member in their favorite books and I like when you see books that people like it kind of shows a little bit about them so it was really interesting one of the workers had good girls guide to murder and Book Lovers on there so I was like you know what if I ever met that worker we'd probably get along but the worker that was there when I was in in there was so sweet she was asking me if I was looking for anything specific I was like no you know I'm just browsing around honestly wasn't going to buy anything but then I saw the blind dats with books and then I also saw this other book and I picked it up she gave me this fun little free toe which is so fun but I ended up getting two books and I really just did not think I was going to do that but I did and one of them is a blind date with books and she told me not to look on the receipt because it comes up on the receipt of like what the book is but this one I picked up because it says musician protagonist super Woody gloriously Twisted in a darker Daisy Jones in the six which I think is very interesting description of it there's someone walking past I loved Daisy Jones and the six so much and this say it's a darker version of it which I think is kind of interesting so we're going to open this one together and see what it is and then I got this one one cuz the cover was cute two because Emily Henry had a little quote on it and three because the worker said this author actually came to this bookstore and she signed this book and I was like you know what I have to get it like I can't not get this book and I read the summary and I kind of want to read it over the summer time on like a beach or something and I think it's so fun so it's called blush the cover is so cute it takes place at a winery and I think it's about like this family who owned the winery and they uncover like one of the mom's old book clubs books or something and they kind of like uncover things about the family's past but the worker said there's also a little romance in here so I was like you know what I need some of that in the book or else I'm a romance reader I just need some of that just a little bit just a little can't hurt so got this one the cover is really really cute the author is Jamie brener I'm really excited and Emily Henry Ro a quit says a delicious big-hearted book I thought we can open up the blind date with a book together see what it is I'm very curious about what like a darker version of Daisy Jones in the six is and also this paper like rabbit so cute little hearts ooh okay it's called Adrien geel a fiction by David hajdu this is the cover of it that's interesting it says Adrien was a one-of-a-kind artist a Pianist and a composer with a rare neurological condition that enabled her to make music that was nothing less than pure unmediated emotional expression but despite her Renown she mysteriously vanished from public life he tells the full story of her life and work through the memories of those who knew her inspired her and exploited her her parents teachers best friend manager critics lovers she made music so strange so compelling so so utterly unique that it is simply not to be believed that sounds really interesting she said it's like kind of like dark D Jes in the six I'm wondering if it has the same setup as it so if you haven't read d j in the six it's written almost in like an interview so it's kind of as if the author is interviewing each character of the band this looks like it has some interview like it has the character name and then what they said underneath it okay that's really interesting I'm excited about this one it's not one that I feel like I would pick up but I'm happy to have it on my TBR it's also pretty short it's only 192 pages so I feel this would be a quick fun read and something I want to pick up which is what I love about blind books I just recently did a video doing blind dates with books and you just never know what you're going to get and it's really fun surprise cuz you don't know if you're going to love the book and you don't even know anything about it cuz I usually judge books by covers like I literally picked up blush the book that I bought because the cover was cute it had pink on it it was about a winery like I thought it was just a cute cover I'm happy with my my choices for today I told the worker I would come back after I finished blush because she said the author has another book if I like that one that I would like so anyway I'm sitting in front of a brick building that is literally baby pink with a light purple door like is the cutest little store ever like look at this store it's pink and purple is that not the cutest store ever cut building ever this town is absolutely adorable I'm definitely going to come back here sometime soon when I want to take a little bit of a drive but go to another bookstore but it was fun in there it was really cute in there I'll be back when we go to our next bookstore our next book shopping experience together have to pause tap because it is our last day going book shopping together boo boo last day of my excuse to go book shopping and go to bookstores I mean I could go really anytime but like to buy books I feel like this is a great excuse to do it even though I said I don't know if I'm going to buy books at these stores this week I kind of wanted to go see them but as the record is showing I'm buying books at these stores every time I go it's it's a hard thing having self-control in the bookstore you know it's really hard I've been taking pictures of books in the stores I've been going to the ones that I haven't been buying but I want to keep on my radar because there are so many that I want to buy but I know they're going to sit on my shelf or my cart and just sit there until I don't even know when I'm going to read them so like I said my my new rule I just can't buy books I don't think I'm going to read in the near future so there's a lot of my camera roll that I'm hoping to get to or hoping I could buy sometime sometime maybe I don't know in a few months today we are actually going to a very special book store because not only is the one that Lauren and I used to go to during school when we wanted to go kind of not to Barnes it is one of the first places that I took Haley and Destiny when they visited jersey for the very first time it literally was our first full day together we went to this bookstore and you know what it has great memories there so I'm really excited about this one we're leaving off this video on an incredible note with this bookstore it's a smaller bookstore but it's really really cute they have a great selection every time I've been there it's in a really cute part of the town and I'm really excited to go I don't know if I'm going to get a book but I've said that every other time that we've been going to these bookstores so at this point we'll just see like maybe the question really is what book am I going to get instead of I don't know if I'm going to get a book Let's just question myself and see what book am I going to get so I will see you guys once we get to our next location our final location actually our final book shopping experience together not final there's going to be plenty of other book videos of us book shopping together but you know our final one for don't know why I just never did let's close out this video let's talk about my experience let's talk about the Last Bookstore I went to so I didn't end up buying anything from it I feel like that was the smallest bookstore out of all of the ones that we went to they did have good selection they did have books that I've seen before popular books also I love when they have little tables that kind of give descriptions that the workers put out and give kind of like their opinions on it but also the description of the book I love reading those and that had a lot of on the tables and they had like little other things they had totes and like cute little stuff but I didn't buy anything cuz I feel like their selection or either books that I've already read or like nothing was standing out to me that I wanted to buy and I feel their selection was more like they had like a copy of a book but they only had like one copy of a book or like one or two like they didn't have a lot of a selection so I didn't really get anything so that was a bummer but that's okay cuz obviously I got lots of other books this week and I do love that store I go there like honestly frequently I feel like that one is the one I've been to most of all the ones we've been to or out of all the ones that I've already been to that one I've definitely been more often so that was a week or I think that took a little over a week of book shopping with me it was so much fun I feel like like I said in the beginning just going to different bookstores really just make me happy going into a book store browsing the books I don't have to buy anything like the last book store I didn't have to buy anything or I could buy stuff like the all the other ones but it just makes my day I love this too because when I'm going into books or not really looking for a specific book especially these kind of bookstores I feel like I noticed books that I wouldn't typically buy like there's a few on here one obviously it was a blind date with a book but like some of the other ones I didn't expect to buy that's what I love going to some of these bookstores because you know I guess that's with any book store but you don't know what you're going to get if you're not going in with a specific book in mind and you know I was just browsing and it was just what was calling my name on that day that given specific time of day we got lots of books this week so indivisible Girl by Lisa juwel this is our Thriller mystery I think it's the only Thriller mystery that I got I mean I guess Finley Donovan is killing it is kind of like a comedic Thriller is that what the Vibes are getting fast-paced murder investigation not sure the exact genre but we have this one and then of course one day which I'm so excited to get to again I just need to I need to watch this show already Bear Town by Frederick bman I want to read this soon I've heard really good things about this and I know this is like a literary fiction type of book but I'm excited about this one I feel like I'm going to like this one possibly love it who knows blush which I think I'm going to save for the summer I don't know why the winery Vibes are giving me Summer Vibes cover is so cute and this is the one with the Emily Henry quote on the front my blind date with the book Adrien GE I don't really know how to say it this is a literary fiction this is a short little book but also it said it was giving what like dark Daisy Jones in the 6 so that's very interesting I feel like I definitely got an interesting range of books this past few weeks and I haven't bought a book I think I mean I think it's been since I bought carsson City 3 that could be like a really flat out lie but from what I remember I don't think I've bought a book since then I don't know
