One such myth that has been circulating for a long time is that turning off your phone while it's charging will charge faster. I've heard people say that if you turn off your phone while it's charging, it will charge faster, and I think it's high time we test this claim once and for all. As a tech enthusiast, I believe that some of these myths should be put to the test, rather than just being accepted as fact. So, let's get started with our experiment.

For this experiment, I chose two phones: an Android and an iOS phone, both of which are high-end devices. The specific models chosen were the P30 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Both phones have fast charging capabilities, so they should be able to charge quickly regardless of whether we're using them or not. To test our hypothesis, I charged both phones for 15 minutes while they were on and then turned off their power sources to see if there was any difference in charging speed.

The first step was to charge the phones as usual. The iPhone Pro Max started at 9% charge and after 15 minutes of charging, it reached 43%. Not bad! However, I also wanted to test what would happen if we turned off the power sources while they were still charging. So, I turned both phones off in 15 minutes and then turned them back on again to see how much charge each had gained.

When I turned both phones back on, I was expecting to see a significant difference in their charges. However, what happened next surprised me. The iPhone Pro Max was still at 9% charge, while the P30 Pro had reached 43%. This wasn't even close! In fact, the two phones were essentially identical in terms of charge.

Based on these results, I can confidently say that turning off your phone while it's charging does not make a significant difference in charging speed. The iPhone Pro Max and the P30 Pro both charged at the same rate, regardless of whether we were using them or not. This suggests that the myth is likely bogus, and there's no need to turn off your phone while it's charging for faster charging speeds.

probably bogus like turning off your phone does not make any difference on the charging speed now I have done other videos like this on these kinds of myths so I'll leave a link below to this but the only thing I've actually realized is that if you turn your phone on like the screen is on and you're using it etc that can reduce the battery charge a little bit but even that is pre insignificant
