Making Small Changes to Give Your Kitchen a Fresh New Look
First of all, you can switch out the countertops that is an easy thing that you can it's not super expensive but you really get a lot of bang for your buck and at the same time. You could also contemplate switching out your sink, I think think switching out the faucets as well going for something either in like a matte black or something that really just depending on like if you have a white kitchen you put that matte black in I mean yeah it's going to look really good.
You could also switch out your Hardware on your cabinets go for something that maybe has a more organic feel. Also, think about the fact that you can switch out your backsplash, yes people forget that that's actually not that hard of a thing to do and you just take your countertop material and if you have upper cabinets you're just going to take it right up to the bottom of that yeah that's true and it's it's actually really easy and simple to have somebody come and do that if you're not a DIY if you're a DIY of course it's easy for you yeah but those are really simple things switching out the lighting is something that you can do today, switch out the lighting in the kitchen that you already have if you've got these really big globes or something that's really busy and kind of dominating space.
Think about just switching it out with something that's more minimal. We shop a lot on Home Depot if we're working on a budget Wayfair and Amazon but you can also check out Visual Comfort I know I talk about them at every video it's because they have a lot of ideas at least so I would at least just check it out and I always say least expensive to most expensive so you can get to some of the really affordable designer lights you'd be surprised some of these lights are under $100 easily. Oh wow sometimes we get so caught up in I have to change everything that we just do nothing.
I think making these small changes can make a really big difference. The other thing you can do is that you can switch out the accessories that you have in your space if you love that organic luxury style, okay watch some of our Amazon lives we need to do a tour of the kitchen we should yeah we haven't done that in so long here on this channel yeah we should we will do that soon but I do think that if you want to see a quick fix go watch our Amazon lives because we've been giving like we give tours over there and I think sometimes we forget to do it here.
I think so too either way you can bring in some really nice like Traver team bowls you could bring in nice wood bowls you could also bring in like linen cookbooks. One of my favorite things to bring in what about an organic vase we got those from our house in and they really just Elevate the entire space, little switches like that can bring your kitchen to feeling a lot more updated.
I think it's great yeah cuz ours is what five almost six years old now MH mhm yeah and you've made changes along the way that keep it fresh feeling. You've added a rug you've changed things out you added the art yeah you bring in the art, you you've done so many things along the way you changed the light at some point even yep added in a different light yeah yeah.
So you've done things along the way that honestly we're not that expensive but it keeps it fresh feeling. Well I hope we've left you feeling super inspired and ready to do some little maybe it's going to be a tweak or maybe you're going to be doing a huge renovation, I hope we've left you feeling super inspired let us know down in the comments which of these you love which if it's okay to tell us if you hate them that's okay too.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enlet's just rip out the kitchen and start over Okay and nothing's ever stayed forever or else we'd still be like carving like yeah like in theom hieroglyphics and you can create this kitchen that we're talking about from Ikea yeah sometimes we get so caught up and I have to change everything that we just do nothing and I think making these small changes can make a really big difference Trends definitely come and go and there is no place like the kitchen or they definitely go pretty quickly so we want to talk today about trends that we are obsessing over that we think you're going to absolutely love for your kitchen these are trends that are definitely not like super trendy we're not talking about Glitter grout here today we are talking about the trends that you are going to love you're going to want to put them into your kitchen some of these are things that you can add on small little things that you can do to your kitchen and others of these are things that if you're doing a full-blown renovation you want to know about so there's a little something in here for everyone and I think you're going to love today's video I'm Valentina from the house of Valentina and my husband Jack this is what we do is that we sit around at night and we chitchat about these things we really do well this is what we love so I'm really glad that you could join us today and chat with us about kitchen trends that we are actually obsessing over oh yeah I'm excited about this this is a really good one I'm really excited about this make sure you hit subscribe and let's jump in cuz I can't wait to talk about this all right so let's get started guys one of my favorites that I am just obsessed with and I do mean obsessed I've been thinking about doing this in the bathroom and then I thought the other day what about the kitchen what did we put it in the kitchen and that is the integrated marble sink ooh that is I didn't realize they do that in kitchens they do but you know what it's not that it's a new thing right cuz people always get cranky and write the funniest comments down below and we're like we're not saying that they invented this last week we're just saying that this is on Trend and that is definitely the integrated sink rather than going for the farmhouse sink the apron style sink or the stainless steel what we're seeing is that more and more people are doing an integrated Style so whether you've got marble I don't know very many people do it with quartz as much but you could do it with a granite you can do it with your hard surfaces and you can have that integrated style I really like it when it's like the trough style oh I think that's so pretty it's gorgeous it is oh my gosh we've been OB obsessing over the bathroom version and the now my mind's blown about the kitchen I can't stop thinking about it I really can't I'm like I think I could actually just replace the countertops and do that yeah like if you've got outdated countertops and you're thinking about redoing them instead of doing like just the plain stainless steel why not think about doing something really special right because I think so often we become a little bit obsessed we trying to save money and so we're like I'm only going to do quartz right like that was a little bit of a Splurge anyways but how much more would it be to do an integrated sink into that look and especially if you have like a vegetable prep sink my God oh I love the thought of that yeah and you know what you can do with travertin as well are you serious yeah because that's another thing on this list is that people are starting to use travertine again in the kitchen I'm so excited to take just a moment and thank our video sponsor for today which is hungry root you guys this just arrived on my door and I'm so pumped because myself and my children included we all get so excited when it's a hungry root delivery day hungry root is incredible really helps us stay on our health goals because my entire family is really into working out and staying healthy staying fit and it can be a bit of a challenge I got to tell you when you look at some of the ingredients that we're eating from some of the takeout places you're like not really the best hungry road is amazing because it arrives right to the door and it's fully customizable let's check out what we've got shall we so I love that this packaging is fully recycl cable and inside my gosh this is great it comes with a kitchen guide in here we've got brown rice quinoa blend broccoli florettes we've got some little potatoes uh o b Choy veggies oh Taylor Farms this is some of my favorite stuff it's like sold out in the area I'm not joking like I literally cannot find this at the grocery store I am so pumped yeah plant-based no Dairy okay I'm definitely going to be sharing that with Haley when she gets home she's going to love that but we've got everything in here from baby spinach to oh the kids love edame look at this it even comes with valentina's recipes for May Monday May 6th o taziki black bean burger bowls vegan cheesy baked ravioli so wait I'm just not eating ravioli plain I mean I was excited about that by itself but no the ingredients are all here also to make teriyaki edamame veggie packed Ramen and a spiced black bean broccoli rice bowl I'm kind of like super impressed okay I'm pumped I know you guys are going to absolutely love this and I have a discount code for you you are going to want to use so if you want to save 40% this is only for the first 100 people I know I'm sorry it's only for the first 100 people but you're going to save 40% so if you use either the QR code that I'm going to pop up here or the link down below and my code Valentine 40 this is for the first 100 people I'm so sorry you're going to have to grab it quick cuz I know everyone's going to be excited about this it's going to save you 40% off of your first grocery order with hungry root so this is amazing stuff and I am so excited now I have to figure out which um which snack I'm going to have first thank you again to Hungry root for being today's sponsor and now back to today's video you I think it's been about 20 years maybe almost 30 are you serious we're getting old people if you saw this R the first time let me know down in the comments but yeah back in like the '90s yeah travertine in the kitchen was like everything right especially with the backsplashes it was all the little square tiles we were all doing like the Spanish Spanish French country kind of look right we're using a lot of travertine in the kitchen well times have changed and we have definitely evolved but travertine for sure is coming back into the kitchen and now we're using it as countertop surfaces we're using it as sinks and we're also using it as sheets of um uh what's it called backsplash ooh and I for one think that that is absolutely gorgeous so this is totally different than the travertine 30 years ago years yes cuz I know I know you're like yes is the same surface or different like there be some people like yes try routine is back and then it's like yeah but it's not the way it was done before so you can't really like use the way it was before and think it's going to work the same because it's not is it a difference in not size or finish or all of them yeah I definitely think that the honed look and we're also leaning more towards like a brown undertone rather than a yellow that's a big difference avoid like the really orange color travertine avoid the stuff that's really yellow you're looking for something that's almost like a beige color and it's just really neutral but I think that the porous material and I like the way that it looks like you feel like you could just bite it cuz it just looks like the texture is so amazing I love that I love that I'm like let's just rip out the kitchen and start over Okay I know you're the most enabling person I've ever met you want me to start now I know don't tempt me don't tempt me can buy go get a sledgehammer on other people's projects right now not our own but every time we do a project for another client we're just like let's start our own over this looks really good like you like see every time we're like I love that light we put in their house yeah we put in ours it appears on the porch we're like we'll get one for ourselves too but I do think that we see that a lot of us are moving more towards those slightly creamier colors not quite so stark white which I still like the white white never goes out of style here's the thing it's always going to be here yeah so a lot of the colors are where you see things trending in and out so you're always safe with white but if you also want to have a little bit of fun with your Trends think about those sort of brown undertone beiges because I think they really work and they look amazing with these hard surfaces okay so I've been saying this one for a while but I feel like the trends have finally caught up because I've been saying for about 7 years the slab front cabinet was really going to make a comeback and it is back not only that not only is it the slab front back by that I just mean the flat front right flat front uh that is definitely on Trend and we'll discuss about the material just a second because I almost started and I'm like no let's focus on this for just a second I think for a long time we've been saying that the slab front was coming back in and what you saw was that a lot of people were mixing the slab front with the Shaker style yes and now people have transitioned they're like it was almost like let's transition ourselves let's do the little bit of the flat front and the uh shaker style so that we feel good about this transitional period that transitional period is we're moving away from that it is time to embrace that slab front because that trend of using the shaker style it's starting to go out so don't freak if you just put it in because I tend to be on like the front end of Trends I'm looking out because here's the thing you've worked with a cabinet company and what did he tell you the trends change how often especially he works for a kitchen company okay how often do he say the trends in kitchens usually have like a turnover rate every 10 years yeah so if you're getting ready to put your kitchen in I don't want to tell you what people were doing 5 years ago cuz I've already dated your kitchen in 5 years why not give you a 10 year on your kitchen that's the kind of that I tell my clients so you can take the information take it or leave it right but the thing is is the lab front we've been mingling it with something that was a little bit more ornate and now the longer we go the less and less you're going to see of the shaker style because everybody had it everywhere and the minute that everyone has it designers are like oh we have to find something new right totally that's how Trends work right and people always get mad about Trends they want something to stay forever well it's not really our fault we didn't invent the rules and nothing's ever stayed forever or else we'd still be like carving like yeah like in the Roman times hieroglyphics and riding around The Flintstones car yeah I mean we we evolve that's actually something so human about us so for us we don't we don't get angry about the trends we get excited about them because only time I would ever get angry about a trend is if you didn't know it was coming and you made the wrong decision like that's the reason to get angry so which is why I make these videos because even though I get that some people get aggravated that something they just put in might not be on Trend next uh you're going to have a few years on it anyways but the thing is is if I didn't tell you isn't that kind of rude if I know I mean that's why I feel like this is really good information so when you do the slab front then you have some fun decisions because when you have a slab front you can either do like a really nice like slim line Hardware on it you can also do the little finger pools which I think are really pretty really nice when it comes to slab front and the pools basically all the different pools are all in style so that's the good news is that you can do whatever you want with them you can do brass you can mostly do people are still mostly doing black yeah and a little bit of like that dark bronze color gorgeous people still haven't gone back to Chrome nope they're still just not going back to it they're still just not no they're not at all and I'm for one I'm okay with that because I don't want it maybe other people do totally fine yeah but for me I am obsessed with matte black Hardware uh with that dark bronze color and the brass I think like especially especially the matte brass tones that are champagne they have like that finish on them gorgeous not super shiny it's just that matte and they feel a little worn already like they're just oh they're so they are gorgeous so yeah you can do unlocker brass but that's going to age it and I think that over time when it looks a little bit dingy and kind of used most people really don't like that look so I think that's why it's not ever probably going to be the most popular thing right yeah that's true because if you're going to sell your house in 10 years and all of your Hardware is going to have to be replaced because it now looks lacquered un yeah most people aren't going to want that so I think that's why that doesn't stay on trend as much but yeah those other finishes with that slab front that's fun now while we're talking about these Trends let's move on to the next part of this equation here people are moving on to Wood cabinets I said that seven years ago and by wood you mean not painted wood yes yes wood actual grain so when I said that that big change I know I said it s years ago and one of my clients actually got pissed she was like that is disgusting I will never put that in my house and I was like jeez like she wouldn't put the wood grain or the paint wood grain oh yeah and I was like well just give it a few years cuz you're going to love it later yeah oh my go we were at the height of the pained cabinets and I'm like we put painted cabinets into ours and I knew immediately we'll shoot cuz I knew that wood toades would be in and and even I like I was almost like it's a little too early for that like it yeah I should have just gone for it yep if I did my kitchen right now cuz you know as a designer I'm always like remodeling every room of my house I would 100% put in a wood cabinet as in wood grain cabinets slab front so is this the same look at are we going back to '90s no it's not the '90s guys like that cherry wood that is all these Trends work right yes we're bringing Traver team back we're not bringing it back the same way nor are we bringing back the cabin TR the way that it was done before right now we have it to wear soft clothes you've got them integrated right into the box like there's a lot of bells and whistles now they're kind of standard that people didn't even have available necessarily to them and definitely not if you're working on a budget you can create this kitchen that we're talking about from Ikea yeah that's what's so cool about yeah we were looking at Ikea last night and it was like oh my gosh you could literally pull off everything you're describing because you were like oh but only people with a lot of money can do your ideas and I was like oh no yeah it proved me wrong yes I did I did I pulled up pictures of Ikea kitchens and I'm like if they had done this kitchen with this cabinet and combine those two that is what you should be putting into your kitchen if you're doing your renovation right now yep so I know that not everybody's going to do a full Rena on their kitchen you might not be replacing the cabinets uh if you have the old school from the '90s cabinets I still would rather paint those then leave them in the wood tone yeah don't you think yeah yeah totally what do you guys think yeah do you agree I mean that's pretty ballsy well it's just it's the color yeah that's the other thing it's the color of the wood it's not just that we're bringing back wood it's the way in which we're doing it right it's a slab front y it's also the wood tone itself right all the bells and whistles plus the wood tone it's not so yellow it's not so I was about to ask you it's not the yellow orange cabinets that literally will not go away for some reason they're just so in your face God they're so in your face wish had photos of our old house cuz we had them in our house we didn't paint them though did we mm I was scared too back then I was a lot more afraid and now I'm like don't put paint on anything yeah you really would no I still think you're I think you're right I still think you're better off painting because at least otherwise you're living in a 40-year-old kitchen ooh or 30-year-old kitchen at least us any further than we are man but at least with a a painted kitchen you're only 5 years like you're still on Trend you're just only a few years from being over but still y I agree that's tough I agree I think it's better for them to be neutralized cuz the the the paint the the undertones are just so different they're so different y so I definitely think that we're going we're not we're just going for more Brown undertone woodone tone so you can go light I have seen some dark I don't know if Pinterest is now just feeding me all these light wood tone kit because I'm like like it was with the drool Emoji up like it's so pretty oh I love it uh but I don't think as much that the dark wood cabinets wood tone cabinets cuz I just think of the other ones is a painted cabinet and these are wood where you see the wood grain that's awesome but yeah I don't think the dark ones are as in as the light but it's kind of like a medium that's gorgeous let me know in the comments what you guys think should I go in our kitchen and accidentally drop a sledgehammer on a few things oh jeez not until we get the cabinets order honey I broke a tower and everything in there not until we get them reorder please just give me a list of the things that I shouldn't break yeah GE oh my gosh I'll just make a list after this video let's talk about small ways that you can update your kitchen today oh cool I think that like tell me more tell me more do not tell him to do that no I really do it I'm actually curious I think that there's a lot of easy ways to update the kitchen that you have right now first of all you can switch out the countertops that is an easy thing that you can it's not super expensive but you really get a lot of bank for bu and at the same time you could also contemplate switching out your sink I think think switching out the faucets as well going for something either in and I for one think that that is absolutely gorgeous so this is totally different than the travertine 30 years ago years yes cuz I know I know you're like yes is the same surface or different like there be some people like yes try routine is back and then it's like yeah but it's not the way it was done before so you can't really like use the way it was before and think it's going to work the same because it's not is it a difference in not size or finish or all of them yeah I definitely think that the honed look and we're also leaning more towards like a brown undertone rather than a yellow that's a big difference avoid like the really orange color travertine avoid the stuff that's really yellow you're looking for something that's almost like a beige color and it's just really neutral but I think that the porous material and I like the way that it looks like you feel like you could just bite it cuz it just looks like the texture is so amazing I love that I love that I'm like let's just rip out the kitchen and start over Okay I know you're the most enabling person I've ever met you want me to start now I know don't tempt me don't tempt me can buy go get a sledgehammer on other people's projects right now not our own but every time we do a project for another client we're just like let's start our own over this looks really good like you like see every time we're like I love that light we put in their house yeah we put in ours it appears on the porch we're like we'll get one for ourselves too but I do think that we see that a lot of us are moving more towards those slightly creamier colors not quite so stark white which I still like the white white never goes out of style here's the thing it's always going to be here yeah so a lot of the colors are where you see things trending in and out so you're always safe with white but if you also want to have a little bit of fun with your Trends think about those sort of brown undertone beiges because I think they really work and they look amazing with these hard surfaces okay so I've been saying this one for a while but I feel like the trends have finally caught up because I've been saying for about 7 years the slab front cabinet was really going to make a comeback and it is back not only that not only is it the slab front back by that I just mean the flat front right flat front uh that is definitely on Trend and we'll discuss about the material just a second because I almost started and I'm like no let's focus on this for just a second I think for a long time we've been saying that the slab front was coming back in and what you saw was that a lot of people were mixing the slab front with the Shaker style yes and now people have transitioned they're like it was almost like let's transition ourselves let's do the little bit of the flat front and the uh shaker style so that we feel good about this transitional period that transitional period is we're moving away from that it is time to embrace that slab front because that trend of using the shaker style it's starting to go out so don't freak if you just put it in because I tend to be on like the front end of Trends I'm looking out because here's the thing you've worked with a cabinet company and what did he tell you the trends change how often especially he works for a kitchen company okay how often do he say the trends in kitchens usually have like a turnover rate every 10 years yeah so if you're getting ready to put your kitchen in I don't want to tell you what people were doing 5 years ago cuz I've already dated your kitchen in 5 years why not give you a 10 year on your kitchen that's the kind of that I tell my clients so you can take the information take it or leave it right but the thing is is the lab front we've been mingling it with something that was a little bit more ornate and now the longer we go the less and less you're going to see of the shaker style because everybody had it everywhere and the minute that everyone has it designers are like oh we have to find something new right totally that's how Trends work right and people always get mad about Trends they want something to stay forever well it's not really our fault we didn't invent the rules and nothing's ever stayed forever or else we'd still be like carving like yeah like in the Roman times hieroglyphics and riding around The Flintstones car yeah I mean we we evolve that's actually something so human about us so for us we don't we don't get angry about the trends we get excited about them because only time I would ever get angry about a trend is if you didn't know it was coming and you made the wrong decision like that's the reason to get angry so which is why I make these videos because even though I get that some people get aggravated that something they just put in might not be on Trend next uh you're going to have a few years on it anyways but the thing is is if I didn't tell you isn't that kind of rude if I know I mean that's why I feel like this is really good information so when you do the slab front then you have some fun decisions because when you have a slab front you can either do like a really nice like slim line Hardware on it you can also do the little finger pools which I think are really pretty really nice when it comes to slab front and the pools basically all the different pools are all in style so that's the good news is that you can do whatever you want with them you can do brass you can mostly do people are still mostly doing black yeah and a little bit of like that dark bronze color gorgeous people still haven't gone back to Chrome nope they're still just not going back to it they're still just not no they're not at all and I'm for one I'm okay with that because I don't want it maybe other people do totally fine yeah but for me I am obsessed with matte black Hardware uh with that dark bronze color and the brass I think like especially especially the matte brass tones that are champagne they have like that finish on them gorgeous not super shiny it's just that matte and they feel a little worn already like they're just oh they're so they are gorgeous so yeah you can do unlocker brass but that's going to age it and I think that over time when it looks a little bit dingy and kind of used most people really don't like that look so I think that's why it's not ever probably going to be the most popular thing right yeah that's true because if you're going to sell your house in 10 years and all of your Hardware is going to have to be replaced because it now looks lacquered un yeah most people aren't going to want that so I think that's why that doesn't stay on trend as much but yeah those other finishes with that slab front that's fun now while we're talking about these Trends let's move on to the next part of this equation here people are moving on to Wood cabinets I said that seven years ago and by wood you mean not painted wood yes yes wood actual grain so when I said that that big change I know I said it s years ago and one of my clients actually got pissed she was like that is disgusting I will never put that in my house and I was like jeez like she wouldn't put the wood grain or the paint wood grain oh yeah and I was like well just give it a few years cuz you're going to love it later yeah oh my go we were at the height of the pained cabinets and I'm like we put painted cabinets into ours and I knew immediately we'll shoot cuz I knew that wood toades would be in and and even I like I was almost like it's a little too early for that like it yeah I should have just gone for it yep if I did my kitchen right now cuz you know as a designer I'm always like remodeling every room of my house I would 100% put in a wood cabinet as in wood grain cabinets slab front so is this the same look at are we going back to '90s no it's not the '90s guys like that cherry wood that is all these Trends work right yes we're bringing Traver team back we're not bringing it back the same way nor are we bringing back the cabin TR the way that it was done before right now we have it to wear soft clothes you've got them integrated right into the box like there's a lot of bells and whistles now they're kind of standard that people didn't even have available necessarily to them and definitely not if you're working on a budget you can create this kitchen that we're talking about from Ikea yeah that's what's so cool about yeah we were looking at Ikea last night and it was like oh my gosh you could literally pull off everything you're describing because you were like oh but only people with a lot of money can do your ideas and I was like oh no yeah it proved me wrong yes I did I did I pulled up pictures of Ikea kitchens and I'm like if they had done this kitchen with this cabinet and combine those two that is what you should be putting into your kitchen if you're doing your renovation right now yep so I know that not everybody's going to do a full Rena on their kitchen you might not be replacing the cabinets uh if you have the old school from the '90s cabinets I still would rather paint those then leave them in the wood tone yeah don't you think yeah yeah totally what do you guys think yeah do you agree I mean that's pretty ballsy well it's just it's the color yeah that's the other thing it's the color of the wood it's not just that we're bringing back wood it's the way in which we're doing it right it's a slab front y it's also the wood tone itself right all the bells and whistles plus the wood tone it's not so yellow it's not so I was about to ask you it's not the yellow orange cabinets that literally will not go away for some reason they're just so in your face God they're so in your face wish had photos of our old house cuz we had them in our house we didn't paint them though did we mm I was scared too back then I was a lot more afraid and now I'm like don't put paint on anything yeah you really would no I still think you're I think you're right I still think you're better off painting because at least otherwise you're living in a 40-year-old kitchen ooh or 30-year-old kitchen at least us any further than we are man but at least with a a painted kitchen you're only 5 years like you're still on Trend you're just only a few years from being over but still y I agree that's tough I agree I think it's better for them to be neutralized cuz the the the paint the the undertones are just so different they're so different y so I definitely think that we're going we're not we're just going for more Brown undertone woodone tone so you can go light I have seen some dark I don't know if Pinterest is now just feeding me all these light wood tone kit because I'm like like it was with the drool Emoji up like it's so pretty oh I love it uh but I don't think as much that the dark wood cabinets wood tone cabinets cuz I just think of the other ones is a painted cabinet and these are wood where you see the wood grain that's awesome but yeah I don't think the dark ones are as in as the light but it's kind of like a medium that's gorgeous let me know in the comments what you guys think should I go in our kitchen and accidentally drop a sledgehammer on a few things oh jeez not until we get the cabinets order honey I broke a tower and everything in there not until we get them reorder please just give me a list of the things that I shouldn't break yeah GE oh my gosh I'll just make a list after this video let's talk about small ways that you can update your kitchen today oh cool I think that like tell me more tell me more do not tell him to do that no I really do it I'm actually curious I think that there's a lot of easy ways to update the kitchen that you have right now first of all you can switch out the countertops that is an easy thing that you can it's not super expensive but you really get a lot of bank for bu and at the same time you could also contemplate switching out your sink I think think switching out the faucets as well going for something either in like a matte black or something that really just depending on like if you have a white kitchen you put that matte black in I mean yeah it's going to look really good you could also switch out your Hardware on your cabinets go for something that maybe has a more organic feel also think about the fact that you can switch out your backsplash yeah people forget that that's actually not that hard of a thing to do and you just take your countertop material and if you have upper cabinets you're just going to take it right up to the bottom of that yeah that's true and it's it's actually really easy and simple to have somebody come and do that if you're not a DIY if you're a DIY of course it's easy for you yeah but those are really simple things switching out the lighting is something that you can do today switch out the lighting in the kitchen that you already have if you've got these really big globes or something that's really busy and kind of dominating space think about just switching it out with something that's more minimal y we shop a lot on Home Depot if we're working on a budget Wayfair and Amazon but you can also check out Visual Comfort I know I talk about them at every video it's because they have a lot of ideas at least so I would at least just check it out and I always I always say least expensive to most expensive so you can get to some of the really affordable designer lights you'd be surprised some of these lights are under $100 easily oh wow sometimes we get so caught up in I have to change everything that we just do nothing and I think making these small changes can make a really big difference the other thing you can do is that you can switch out the accessories that you have in your space if you love that organic luxury style okay watch some of our Amazon lives we need to do a tour of the kitchen we should yeah we haven't done that in so long here on this channel yeah we should we will do that soon but I do think that if you want to see a quick fix go watch our Amazon lives because we've been giving like we give tours over there and I think sometimes we forget to do it here I think so too either way you can bring in some really nice like Traver team bowls you could bring in nice wood bowls you could also bring in like linen cookbooks is one of my favorite things to bring in what about an organic vase we got those from our house in and they really just Elevate the entire space little switches like that can bring your kitchen to feeling a lot more updated and I think it's just a lot of fun I think it's great yeah cuz ours is what five almost six years old now MH mhm yeah and you've made changes along the way that keep it fresh feeling you've added a rug you've changed things out you added the art yeah you bring in the art you you've done so many things along the way you changed the light at some point even yep added in a different light yeah yeah so you've done things along the way that honestly we're not that expensive but it keeps it fresh feeling well I hope we've left you feeling super inspired and ready to do some little maybe it's going to be a tweak or maybe you're going to be doing a huge renovation I hope we've left you feeling super inspired let us know down in the comments which of these you love which if it's okay to tell us if you hate them that's okay too you can tell us you hate Trends you can tell us that down in the comments as well we completely understand because you know it's expensive to make changes in your home and you want them to last forever and if you're still enjoying them you don't need to change them n right like unless you're selling your house and you want to make more money off of it that's when you should make changes like to invest more money to get more money out of it but if you're enjoying what you've got then why why would you change it these are videos for people who really want to change things I think they want something new they want to know what's in and they want to be able to spend their money wisely on what's coming and that's why we like these videos let us know if you feel the same way by giving us a big thumbs up leaving us a comment and also hitting subscribe if you haven't already well thank you so much for joining us we will
