iOS 12 Vs iOS 11.4 INCREDIBLE Battery & Performance

**Boot Up Test**

The test began with both iPhones completely turned off at a count of three, one, two, three. The devices were then turned on simultaneously, and it was observed that iOS 11.4 booted up significantly faster than iOS 12.

"Okay, so we're gonna go ahead and see which one boots up faster," the speaker said, referring to the boot-up test. "There goes iOS eleven point four okay and let's go to wait for iOS to have to completely boot up and hopefully this should be done here pretty soon there it is now for this next test I want to go ahead and see how much faster apps will launch in iOS twelve in comparison to iOS eleven or vice-versa so we're gonna use Siri because Apple does claim that iOS twelve launches the camera faster, the keyboard faster so we're gonna go and test that here and we're have Siri launched the apps for us."

The speaker then proceeded to test how fast Siri could open different apps on both iOS 11.4 and iOS 12. The results showed that while Siri was able to open some apps relatively quickly, there were no significant differences between the two operating systems in terms of speed.

"Open camera oh it actually does load faster so it's gonna do that again open camera that's about the same speed there we're gonna do one more open the camera well it looks like Siri did open the camera a little faster than iOS called the first time but the other two times it looked like it was pretty much a tie now Apple says the keyboard launches a little faster in iOS 12 as well so I'm gonna go ahead and bring up the keyboard here on the home screen to see how much faster that is you tell me it does come up a little slightly faster and I was 12 and keep in mind iOS 12 is still in beta 1 so that's that's a pretty good sign now for this next test we're gonna be taking a look at face ID we're gonna lock the devices and see which device will unlock faster and I'm right behind the camera so I'm going to do my best here to aim at my face as fast as I can at the same time."

The speaker then proceeded to test how quickly each iPhone could unlock using Face ID. The results showed that iOS 12 was significantly faster than iOS 11.4, with the iPhone 10 in iOS 11.4 taking longer to unlock.

"I'm right behind the camera so I'm going to do my best here to aim at my face as fast as I can at the same time" the speaker said. "so one two three wow that was almost instantly with iOS twelve let's do that again so one two three and iOS twelve again detecting my face a little faster keep in mind I'm right behind a camera also I'm go ahead and do that again one two three okay so that's close to identical missed switch hands here just to see if the position of the cameras and face ID and all that since I'm sitting behind this camera has anything to do so I'm gonna go ahead and do that again one two three okay so that time I'll face ID detecting my face unlocked it and iOS eleven did not so I have to do it again okay so we're gonna do one more test one two three definitely definitely iOS 12 has the lead when it comes to unlocking your device in iOS 12 I don't know if Apple added some more projecting dots to the face or the angle but I'm switching hands here and it looks like face ID definitely performing better in iOS 12 okay so for this test we're taking a look at Geekbench CPU performance test we're gonna go ahead and click here go at the same time to see what the numbers look like for iOS eleven point four versus iOS twelve so let's go and see what the numbers will say all right so the results are in here is this single core score for iOS 12 4274 higher than Iowa's 11 with 42:53 a look at the multi-core score ten thousand four hundred and eighty six versus ten thousand two hundred and seventy two"

The speaker then proceeded to analyze the Geekbench test results, comparing the performance of both iPhones.

"so in terms of performance it looks like iOS 12 beats iOS eleven point four and this is so beta guys we're talking beta one so good signs here with iOS twelve okay guys so now let's take a look at the battery test and this is where I was impressed the most because Apple did tell us that there were gonna be doing better CPU management in order to give us better battery life but I was not expecting this so iOS 12 on the Left iPhone 10 in iOS eleven point four on the right of course an iPhone 10 as well the iPhone 10 in iOS eleven point four died with seven hours in ten minutes but take a look at iOS 12 a whopping 10 hours in 50 minutes in iOS 12 beta 1 that is an extra three and a half plus hours of long screen time and Iowa's 12 beta one I'm impressed."

**Conclusion**

The speaker concluded the test by noting that while there were some minor differences between the two operating systems, the overall results showed that iOS 12 had a significant advantage over iOS 11.4 in terms of speed, performance, and battery life.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys in today's video I wanted to compare iOS 12 versus iOS 11 point on the iPhone 10 now you're probably wondering well that's not a fair comparison because iOS 12 is still in beta and you're right but the purpose of this video is to see how much better iOS 12 gets before its official launch versus iOS eleven point four okay so Apple has been doing pretty good with iOS 12 and that also prompted this video because I always saw has it been performing so well for me on the iPhone 10 then I want to share my experience with you guys so we're gonna be taking a look at boot up speeds performance CPU all that good stuff all the stuff that we usually like to test with the iPhone so we're gonna go ahead and do that and let's go ahead and start with a boot up test okay so here we go both iPhones are completely turned off at a count of three one two three and there they go let's go ahead and see which one boots up faster there goes iOS eleven point four okay and let's go to wait for iOS twelve so it looks like booting up times definitely iOS eleven point four by a longshot here booting up a lot faster than iOS twelve okay so we're still waiting here for iOS to have to completely boot up and hopefully this should be done here pretty soon there it is now for this next test I want to go ahead and see how much faster apps will launch in iOS twelve in comparison to iOS eleven or vice-versa so we're gonna use Siri because Apple does claim that iOS twelve launches the camera faster the keyboard faster so we're gonna go and test that here and we're have Siri launched the apps for us so open camera oh it actually does load faster so it's gonna do that again open camera that's about the same speed there we're gonna do one more open the camera well it looks like Siri did open the camera a little faster than iOS called the first time but the other two times it looked like it was pretty much a tie now Apple says the keyboard launches a little faster in iOS 12 as well so I'm gonna go ahead and and bring up the keyboard here on the home screen to see how much faster that is you tell me it does come up a little slightly faster and I was 12 and keep in mind iOS 12 is still in beta 1 so that's that's a pretty good sign now for this next test we're gonna be taking a look at face ID we're gonna lock the devices and see which device will unlock faster and I'm right behind the camera so I'm going to do my best here to aim at my face as fast as I can at the same time so one two three wow that was almost instantly with iOS twelve let's do that again so one two three and iOS twelve again detecting my face a little faster keep in mind I'm right behind a camera also I'm go ahead and do that again one two three okay so that's close to identical missed switch hands here just to see if the position of the cameras and face idea and all that since I'm sitting behind this camera has anything to do so I'm gonna go ahead and do that again one two three okay so that time I'll face ID detecting my face unlocked it and iOS eleven did not so I have to do it again okay so we're gonna do one more test one two three definitely definitely iOS 12 has the lead when it comes to unlocking your device in iOS 12 I don't know if Apple added some more projecting dots to the face or the angle but I'm switching hands here and it looks like face ID definitely performing better in iOS 12 okay so for this test we're taking a look at Geekbench CPU performance test we're gonna go ahead and click here go at the same time to see what the numbers look like for iOS eleven point four versus iOS twelve so let's go and see what the numbers will say all right so the results are in here is this single core score for iOS 12 4274 higher than Iowa's 11 with extra three and a half plus hours of long screen time and Iowa's 12 beta one I'm super happy to see these results and that about brings it into this video hope you guys enjoyed it iOS 12 performing rather well in its first beta stages in comparison to iOS eleven point four that's awesome to see good signs here hopefully it keeps improving and I'm gonna continue covering our u.s. 12 in comparison
