**Samsung Galaxy Buds Live Review: A Detailed Comparison with Apple AirPods Pro**
I'm testing these in my ears right now are the Samsung Galaxy Buds Live, the brand new ones from Samsung and this is my quality you can expect from them.
Testing Testing one two three I'm just talking with them in my ears hopefully they sound pretty good. I will also be including the stadium crowd effect noise in the background we'll see how to do with the crowd effect noise these are the only other ones I've tested with real uh besides the Sony's with active noise cancelling we'll see how they deal with stadium chiropractors because the AirPods do really well.
So, let's get started. Now for the features and cool things. I made a little chart here to indicate the features.
All right starting off they both have wireless charging they both have auto pairing both have software support both have ear sensors both have noise cancellation both have ambient mode both have LED indicator the Galaxy Buds Live have an equalizer where the AirPods Pro don't have a real equalizer. They both have touch functions they both have water resistance.
The AirPods Power Rated IPX4 which is protection from splash water, whereas the Galaxy Buds Live are IPX2 which is protection from vertically dripping water. So, the AirPods Pro have a little bit better water resistance than the Galaxy Buds Live but they both don't have very much of water resistance.
Now, I'll be going over the software support.
Right now for the features on iOS open the case for the AirPods wait for them to connect click the i tab these are all the features that you get. Get noise cancellation transparency change the name you can adjust those features ear detection microphone and you get all this information.
You also get find my for the Galaxy Buds Live, you have to go to the app pick your device make sure they're opening connected connect got it and then you're paired to the app and you get all these settings. So, you can go here to adjust the audio this is for active noise cancelling that's the equalizer touch controls it's for adjusting everything labs.
This is how you turn on the ambient mode general just reset those are pretty much all the features that you get. You also get all the same functions really you can adjust the equalizer it seems you have one more adjustment than on iOS, you can do active noise canceling touch controls same thing read notifications aloud can't do that on iOS so that's cool advanced.
You can use Bixby to wake you up labs gaming mode so to just minimize audio delay for vivid synchronized synchronized gaming sound very cool and relieve pressure with ambient sound find my earbuds very cool general yeah so you get a few more features on Android than you do on iOS but overall they're pretty much the same.
After using these side by side for the last week, I'd say this is my ultimate conclusion personally I think that they are both good earbuds. They both have their own benefits and drawbacks. Samsung is advertising this as noise cancelling and that's like their main feature but honestly I would not buy them for the noise canceling it's really not as good even when I'm like mowing the lawn and just doing stuff where it's loud and it should be cancelling out the noise these do a much better job of canceling the noise than these do it's all because of that ear tip.
But they do sound really really good. They have good battery, they have a sleek design, good ambient mode but they're one thing the noise cancelling the one thing they've been advertising and everything they just don't do very well. It kind of disappointed me and honestly I think the Galaxy Buds Plus these are these headphones predecessor does a better job than these do thank you all so much for watching this video if you like to check out any of these products the links will be in the description also be sure to recommend other earbuds I should compare in the comments other combinations and yeah make sure like subscribe and peace.
WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey what is up youtube welcome to the custom adventures all right so today i'll be comparing the airpods pro to the galaxy buds live alright so i haven't been paid by either of these companies so i'll be keeping this comparison as honest as possible if you like to check out any of these products the links will be in the description all right getting right into the packaging all right now for the packaging they both have images of the headphones on the front this is what the front looks like sides top other side bottom on the back got images we got specs all right opening the two airpods pro designed by apple and california insert you get a little insert here similar to the design by apple in california the headphones the headphones for the galaxy buds you get a charger usb type c to usb type a and you get the little ear adapter things the air pods you get two extra pairs of ear tips and a lightning to usb type c charging cable now for the design of the case looking at the two side by side they have two very different designs the galaxy boats have a case very similar to the shape of the raycon e55s they are square with a lid that opens up really smooth and satisfying the airpods have a flatter design with the lid taking up one third of the case they both have little leds on the front the airpods charge via lighting charging cable where the galaxy buds live charge usb type c they both have lids that stay down with magnets they both have shiny finishes on them the galaxy builds have a flat bottom with a little circle so they sit nicely the airpods you just have to lie them down on their back another minor detail for the galaxy buds is there is a lip on the lid and it goes all the way around the case making it easier to open and they both have wireless charging on them now for the design of the earbuds looking at the two side by side they have two very different designs the airpods pro have their iconic design with the little stem where the galaxy builds live are shaped like a bean they both do have ear sensors on them the galaxy buds have one in the middle the airpods have two one in the middle and the other on the bottom side the aeropods pro have exchangeable ear tips so you can adjust your size the galaxy builds live don't have exchangeable ear tips so they are one size fits all but where the little charging point is there's a little rubber thing that fits around them for a better fit in your ear and that part is exchangeable so you can be able to adjust them to fit make them fit better in your ear they both do have touch functions for the aeropods they have a little haptic pad on the side the galaxy buds you have a little touch pad on the side for the airpods you have to squeeze this pad to enable the touch functions the galaxy buds you have to touch them you can't like do a little tap or won't register you have to actually put a little bit of pressure to enable it for the galaxy but it's live due to the shape of the earbud because there's no ear tip on them they can they can slide around and they don't stay as positioned as well and so if they move a little bit too much the little mesh part can get blocked by your other part of your ear and it can block out a lot of the music but you can just adjust them but that's just a problem i've noticed after wearing them both for long periods of time personally i think the airpods pro are a bit more comfy in my opinion this may be due to me having them for a lot longer and i've worn them for longer periods of time in my years i've adjusted to them maybe where the galaxy buds live just barely came out and they're brand new and when i wore them for long periods of time i got a little i got significant ear wear on the upper part of my ear where the charging area was i just had a lot of ear wear right there but it could change in the future depending on whether my ears adjust to them or not now for the price of the two the airpods pro go for around 250 us dollars for the galaxy but live go for around 180 us dollars now for the audio quality of the two after listening to both of them side by side for a while this is my conclusion the galaxy buds live sound better they just seem to have more depth in their audio i'm not entirely sure but i believe that the galaxy buzz live have their own dedicated tweeter and subwoofer in the earbud this is because they have really good bass and you can tell that it is not in the same areas where the highs are coming through the airpods on the other hand i believe they only have one driver which makes it so they don't have quite as much depth as the galaxy blitz live don't get me wrong they sound really good and accurate but they just don't seem to have as much depth in them one problem i've noticed with the galaxy blitz live is due to them not having a little ear tip they can they often bleed a lot of music so when you're turning them up at high volumes people can hear your music from around you it's not too obvious but you can still hear it where are the airpods on the other hand they don't bleed at all due to having that little ear tip that seals off everything contains it in your ear also for now on i'm going to include the ambient and noise cancelling modes in the audio quality area okay when it comes to noise cancelling the airpods pro are way better than the galaxy but it's alive like the galaxy buds live they're promoting that they have noise cancelling that's good and all but the airpods kill them in the noise cancelling and it all comes down to having that ear tip like the galaxy boats live they do a good job at just like filtering out like just ambient noises that are just like little white noises that go on in the background like if you're like if you're like driving your lawn mower or anything like that and it's just constant noises but where they don't do well is just the the abrupt noises like little like you're at the gym and you hear metal clanking on metal or someone talking it doesn't do a good job at filtering out that noise but when you're wearing the airpods pro the they do a lot better job at filtering out that that noise that you're hearing in fact i'd say that the galaxy buds plus do a better job at noise cancelling than the galaxy buzz live that have dedicated noise canceling where the galaxy mounts plus don't even have noise cancelling the ambient mode the airpods pro sound really good they just sound like your own ear the galaxy buds live don't come out of the box with ambient mode enabled they don't really do a good job of shutting out the noise you don't exactly need ambient mode because you kind of just have passive ambient mode because they don't seal off but there is a toggle to adjust ambi mode to help release the tension in your ears now for the battery life of the two the airpods pro can get five hours of audio playback with an additional 24 hours with the case the galaxy was live can get six hours of audio playback with an additional 21 hours with the case now for connectivity of the two all right now for the connectivity of the two we showing the pairing process and the connectivity process between the two earbuds on ios and on android all right we're gonna start with the airpods pro open the case press connect hold the button down and they're paired now for the galaxy but it's live open the case scroll down to the bottom click on them and you're paired alright so now we're on android on the galaxy flip z let's start the galaxy buds live you get a fancy little intro screen here very cool okay continue pretty much got it and you're paired most people that would buy airpods pro wouldn't use android but we're to test it anyways so you open the case hold the button down then you pair with them and repairs now for the mic quality all right so in my ears right now are the airpods pro and this is my quality you can expect from them testing testing one two three i hope they sound pretty good um they should be a step up from the previous generation and yeah i will also be including the uh background noise and we're gonna see how they do with that ready get set go all right now we have background noise of a stadium and hopefully it sounds pretty good still and you can just hear me talking and uh yeah so testing testing one two three turn the volume up even more as high as it can go and uh yeah let's go all right so in my ears right now are the galaxy buds live the brand new ones from samsung and this is my quality you can expect from them testing testing one two three i'm just talking with them in my ears hopefully they sound pretty good i will also be including the stadium crowd effect noise in the background we'll see how to do with the crowd effect
