How to make Grilled Sausage Burgers _ Recipe

Welcome to Barbecue Pit Boo: Italian Sausage Burgers on the Grill

I'm going down to the house of sausage, I got my barbecue shoes on, and I'm going down to the house for sausage. I got my barbecue shoes on, going welcome to barbecu pit boo.com today we're doing Italian sausage burgers on the grill. All right, this is real easy to do.

Now what I have here is a couple of pounds of uh Natural Casing Italian sausage links. You want to remove the meat from inside the casing cuz we're going to make some burger patties out of this. If you've never had the Italian sausage Burgers hot off the grill, you're definitely missing something out of your life. So, you want to check this out; they're real good.

Here I'm adding just a touch of salt and a little more of fresh ground pepper corn cuz this Italian sausage of course it's already seasoned. And if you can't get this Italian sausage locally, of course, you can get some ground pork and season it up yourself. Now, here I'm adding some fresh chopped onion and fresh bell pepper there, and uh, you can add what you like to these burgers or not put anything at all in here. They taste real good just plain.

Now, I'm going to split this loaf up into four Burgers of be four 1/2 PB Burgers that's just kind of the perfect size for uh for grilling there's plenty of fat content in this meat so uh they will form real well and they'll sear up real good on the grill. The only thing you have to keep in mind of course is you want to control the fire because with the fat content in here, you could have yourself a major fire if you don't do it right.

So, this is how we do it now, we've got uh indirect grilling going on here we got the charcoal on one side and we're placing these uh Burgers right over a medium hot coals. Now, we're going to sear each side just for a couple of minutes. We'll put the cover on here and we don't have to worry about any Flame or flare up. All right, minute or two have gone by, we're going to flip these burgers right here and Sear The Other Side. Man, this smelled good again. We'll cover it and then sear it another couple of minutes.

All right now, we're going to move these off the direct coals here's how we do that indirect heating so they uh they finish cooking evenly. You want to make sure your sausages are cooked thoroughly. All right now through the miracle of time, these sausages are ready and um but just before pulling them off the grill here, we're going to grab some onion here and some more bell pepper. We're just going to grill them up for a few minutes onions and bell pepper go real good with sausage.

All right, let's plate it up. You smell that? It smells good now. Of course, you can use what condiments you like on your sausage Burgers here, here we're going to throw on a little chup. You could throw some peppers on there or some uh pickles or just use your imagination.
