The World's Greatest Modern Supercar Collection .... Updated!
The LaFerrari: A Marvel of Modern Supercar Engineering
As we stepped into the SBH Royal Auto Gallery, our eyes were immediately drawn to the pièce de résistance - the Ferrari LaFerrari. This hybrid hypercar boasts an astonishing 950 horsepower and a 6.3 L V12 engine, making it one of the most powerful production cars on the market today. We were thrilled to see two LaFerraris parked together, both plugged in and running on their electric motors, with a sleek active spoiler that pops out from the back. It's clear that this car is not just a marvel of engineering, but also a work of art.
A Brief History of Ferrari Hypercars
As we made our way through the gallery, we couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia wash over us as we saw some of the most iconic Ferrari hypercars on display. First up was the Enzo, the sister car to the MC12 and named after the founder of the company himself. This sleek and powerful car is a testament to Ferrari's commitment to innovation and excellence.
Next, we saw the F50, a convertible that boasts an astonishing 350 horsepower from its V12 engine. We were struck by its lightness and openness, with a fabric soft roof panel that can be replaced when needed. The F50 is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after Ferraris on the market today, and it's easy to see why.
The F40: A Raw and Unbridled Driving Experience
One of the cars that truly stole our hearts was the F40, a car that embodies everything that's great about Ferrari - raw power, unbridled energy, and an iconic design. With its twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 460 horsepower, this car is an absolute beast on the track or road.
A Glimpse into Ferrari's Past: The 288 GTO
As we continued through the gallery, we saw a car that truly stood out from the crowd - the 288 GTO. This iconic car was the precursor to the F40 and is widely regarded as one of the greatest Ferraris of all time. With its sleek design and powerful V8 engine, it's no wonder why this car has captured the hearts of so many Ferrari enthusiasts.
The Saetta: A Softer, More Comfortable Drive
After the raw energy of the F40, we were treated to a completely different driving experience with the Saetta. This car features a 660 horsepower V12 from the 599 GTO and softer suspension settings from the 599 GTB. But what truly sets it apart is its removable roof panel, giving owners an open-top driving experience that's perfect for long-distance cruising.
The 599XX: A Car Built for Fun
Next up was the 599XX, a car that embodies Ferrari's commitment to fun and driving enjoyment. This special edition car features a unique design and a host of upgrades that make it truly stand out from other Ferraris on the market. We were thrilled to see an original 599XX in the gallery, and it was clear that this car had been well-loved by its previous owner.
Pininfarina Sergio: A Car Like No Other
Finally, we saw one of the most unique cars in Ferrari's history - the Pininfarina Sergio. With only six examples produced worldwide, this car is a true rarity and a testament to the company's commitment to innovation and design. We were struck by its quirky design and bespoke looks, which set it apart from other Ferraris on display.
A Tour of the SBH Royal Auto Gallery
As we walked through the gallery, we couldn't help but feel a sense of awe at the sheer scale and scope of the collection. From the sleek lines of the LaFerrari to the raw energy of the F40, every car on display was a testament to Ferrari's commitment to excellence and innovation. We were also struck by the array of memorabilia and collectibles that filled the gallery, from model cars to racing suits and even a few iconic Ferrari logos.
A Special Thank You
We would like to extend our deepest thanks to the SBH Royal Auto Gallery for hosting us today and allowing us to experience this incredible collection. It's been an absolute pleasure to walk through the gallery and take in all of these incredible cars, and we can't wait to share our experiences with you. So thank you again, and we hope you've enjoyed this tour as much as we have!
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi guys I'm shme and today I'm with the Ferrari Owners Club UAE we have been driving as part of this epic Convoy from Dubai over towards Yas Marina Abu Dhabi it's Grand Prix weekend and there are some pretty special cars here we've been sort of on the road for an hour or so to The Venue where all the cars are lined up now and for a photo shoot just some quick highlights Liberty Walk 458 this spectacular Ferrari F40 painted to match the owner's Speciale and just a fleet of some very very nice cars now where we are right now is somewhere pretty special this is sbh Royal Auto Gallery it's a venue I visited a couple of years ago and it is home to basically the most spectacular lineup of cars you could ever imagine now as part of this trip to Dubai I've already featured it in my sort of um daily videos I've been putting out but I'm going to take you on sort of a full tour around the inside because this is really completely unlike anything else you'll ever see so we'll say farewell to this lineup of Ferraris out here and let's head inside your eyes do not deceive you the cars in here are just out of of this world and it's a special visit for the Ferrari Owners Club UAE today so I'm going to sort of fully explore the entire room show you around everything and take it in because I think this is basically one of the most great modern Supercar collections you could ever imagine let's find out why although let's start with these three right here in the middle this is one of the first ever Mercedes the motag motor wagon Benz so quite an old car I think it's one of the first ever motor cars behind that we have a 300 SL gwing G wings of course pretty legendary cars just look beautiful they have the doors here that open upwards and outwards but just one of the most elegant cars to ever exist behind that we have a BMW Z8 famous through its appearance in the Bond movies but this is an Alpena increasing in value nonstop at the moment looks pretty nice in the red though have to say so let's head now to this line of cars and we'll kick off with the Lamborghini Reventon Coupe one of just 20 in the world the Lamborghini revons cost around a million EUR there are also 15 roadsters most of the cars here are kept sort of in completely Factory new condition delivery mileage preserved to look beautiful next to that we have the Aston Martin 177 one of the best sounding V12 cars ever made truly truly beautiful a lot of sort of thought into the proportions of the design to make it the most elegant possible and a car I am personally rather obsessed with I've always liked um the 177 in a very very big way sort of greatest modern ason Martin here we have the DB ar1 there AO creation 100 of them AR stands for America Roadster literally made just for the American Market famous zagato double bubble shape on the rear deck lid based on the bb7 sort of underpinnings next to that we have the Bugatti line and that gets started with the EB 110 sort of the older but more sort of modern era Bugatti super car limited numbers of those this one in the iconic Bugatti blue I think those are really cool before we have a line of Veyrons and there are four Veyrons here in the showroom all of them are special different ways the first one here in the two-tone Chrome and carbon fiber look is a purong which is a special edition of the original 16.4 alongside that we have the veyon Grand Sport vitess which is the vites WRC I should say sorry the uh WRC being the world record um for open top um convertible um cars I think there are eight of those in the carbon fiber with the orange trim but it's the Grand Sport vest so it's the convertible um with 1,200 horsepower rather than the 1,000 um in the normal Bugatti I like the orange touches around the diffuser there next up is the Super Sport W the world record edition only 5 in the world the fastest production car record holder carbon and orange trim again with the super sports iconic sort of rear deck um for aerodynamics and the like insane insane machine so cool having them together and then we have a s Noir which was again carbon and black orange interior the special sort of Edition 15 of these one of the first special editions that Bugatti made so that lineup of those four is really quite something I'm sure you'll agree four Veyrons four very special frons now my knowledge here on the older Corvette Stingrays is not huge I have to be honest so you probably know more than ID 427 looks very nice sure it's deserving of its spot here next up we have the Ford GT perhaps one that's a little bit different in terms of value at least but a very iconic American Supercar and next to it the xj220 an iconic British Supercar and again another um speed record uh holder at one point as well for a production car as it happens I like the dark blue color on this xj220 from Jaguar a lot then we've got the Porsche section so for the Porsches we get started with the latest hybrid hyper car the 918 spider this 918 is the visc package just short of 900 horsepower nurburg ring production car lap record holder 6 minutes 57 seconds this car with Porsche's sort of unique design liery looks pretty cool one of the three hybrid hyper cars we also at the other end have a LaFerrari over around the corner and a P1 over there that we'll get to shortly next here the 9911 GT1 homologated Road car from the Lamont race cars just absolutely Mega I think there are about 50 of these is it maybe it's 25 very small number around the world insane insane machine exceptionally rare beautiful very cool then we have a Gods red Carrera GT Carrera GTS don't need very much introduction V10 manual gearbox the still a lot of people prefer even versus the 918 not the fastest but a serious machine nonetheless and another serious machine alongside that is the GT2 RS the Widow Maker the rear wheeel drive 9911 turbo in effect 600 odd horsepower crazy crazy crazy monster then we have a 997 Speedster sort of an a homage to the old speedsters special edition that Porsche made um if you fold the roof back you can see it's got the humped rear deck well you can't see much I suppose right now and this was sort of the launch color for that car so that little Porsche line up there is um pretty nice isn't it yeah just taking in that view right now holding the camera just like that stunning and then you just do that and then you have some Veyrons and then you do this and you have even more amazing things so let's walk up we'll come back to the Ferraris in a moment come up to the Mercedes and the McLaren's first in fact I'll walk straight past this line come back down at the other direction so I want to go straight to the end to the McLaren P1 now p1's of course the second of the hybrid hyper cars that we have here 916 brake horsepower and this car is a wonderful spec with the satin black paint against the gloss carbon fiber the orange sheets popping against the orange calipers as well and and there's a carbon spoiler on the back too McLaren's hybrid hyper car T tur of 8 and it really is a very nice specification plugged in on the uhlar and trickle charger there to keep the batteries conditioned then we've got the slrs three slrs here the 722 which was the final edition of the coupe of the SLR McLaren and Mercedes joint project then we have the 722s which was the Roadster version and one cool thing about these cars side exit exhaust from the V8 up front funny cars five-speed automatic gearboxes they still look so good even at decade on and then it's the SLR Sterling Moss only 70 of those in the world open top sort of tribute vehicle to Sir Sterling Moss of course and a very very very cool design for a car you can take the roof the sort of cockpit panels off and they stow away in the boot I think that it looks absolutely Mega that thing next we have the SL 65 black series bit of a brute wide body fixed roof version of course the normal SL is are convertible proper V12 and it just looks so so wide badass after that we have two SLS GT3 race cars a little bit different having these two here part of the Mercedes line I I suppose like the dark red on this car and then we get to this this is perhaps my selection of the cars here today this is the CLK GTR Roadster now there are only a handful of these in existence the CLK GTR itself was obviously the road homologated version of the CLK GTR the mon car race car the Roadster sort of special tribute edition only a handful of which were built and it just looks Mega love that thing it's so so so low down at the front just traditional sort of Mercedes look and looking sort of design to it really low down here tiny sort of windscreen outline with those rear buttresses the uh window sort of shape that just sweeps around old school raw cool serves absolutely no purpose just awesome just absolutely awesome the last car before we get to the Ferraris is the Maserati MC12 MC12 is the sister car of the Ferrari Enzo which is around the back so it has the V12 sounds a bit funny because it sounds exactly like an Enzo it's a huge huge car and this was the launch sort of delvery most cars are in this sort of two-tone pearl white blue design uh 50 of them in the world open headlight and very low just a massive massive machine it's cool having the MC12 next to the CLK GTR actually similar sort of I guess kind of positioning then we get two Ferraris then and we get started with a matched pair of laf Ferraris because one is not enough so the laf Ferrari the third of the hybrid hyper cars 950 horsepower again here on the Trickle and that car's alarm's gone off I'll just wait until they turn that off okay we're back so yes the La Ferrari on the trickle here 950 brake horsepower 6.3 L V12 Ferrari's hybrid take the third of the three and very very cool to have two of them here together both plugged in running on there with spoke charges it has a sort of active aror spoiler here that pops out of the back next we have the predecessor the Enzo again the sister of the MC12 Enzo named after the founder of the company himself parked next to the car that's named quite literally the Ferrari La Ferrari and we're really just going back through the history of Ferrari hypercars here because after the end zone we have the F50 again B12 convertible the roof panel lifts off can be replaced with a a fabric soft roof I've always loved the F50 it's very very light very open you can see all the way through but 350 of them not quite as in favor as the 500 Enzo um 500 leraris and then after that we have the F40 Twin Turbo Charge V8 probably one of the most sort of sought after Ferraris right now beautiful car very raw very old school so much about it is so iconic just a spectacular car all around perhaps one emission from The Collection is the 288 GTO so you have the LaFerrari Enzo F50 F40 and you would have a 288 GTO next that was the one that came before um the F40 but that's unfortunately not here what we do have is the sa aerta which has 660 horsepower V12 from the 599 GTO um softer suspension settings from the 599 GTB but with this removable roof panel when the roof is off open top design I love it I think it's one of the sort of most awesome Cruisers long distance GT kind of cars I mean it's an open top V12 Ferrari and front engine rear wheel drive thatout I love it and after that the penultimate Ferrari the 599xx car number one this is obviously Ferrari's XX program of course of Cen you uh buy the cars get to drive it have some fun with them out um and about on Ferrari's track days around the world the different uh Formula 1 circuits and venues this is an original 599xx not upgraded to the evoluon Evo package but it is number one and then the final car here pin in for Arena Sergio only six of these in the world based on the Ferrari 4558 Italia custom bespoke redesigned by pinina in Italy very very special quirky design slightly sort of different people have different impressions of it but it has to be said it's very special looks a very cool par there in the center I think it's one of the latest additions to this collection so there we more or less have it a full detailed guided walking tour of the sbh Royal Auto Gallery with some absolutely spectacular cars it's it's just insane walking around having a look here taking it all in there's lots and lots of memorabilia and different things as well in the shak's private collection amalgam car models all sorts of things Conn connected to the automotive world so take a look at admire and enjoy here in the gallery I'm just walking around to take it all in because I mean I said it before this is probably one of the best sort of modern car collections you know there are better car car collections you know McLaren F1 Ferrari 250 GTO those kind of things that you can add into collections like J lenos and Ralph Laurens and some of the big collectors around the world but this is my ERA this is like all the cars I know and have always had on my posters and that kind of thing so it's so so special to be able to take a look around and of course take it all in see all of this in one place together so uh Absol absolutely awesome absolutely awesome I'm just just taking it all in taking my time to uh admire it all because this is a very very very special room but yeah think I should wrap it up there that was a very detailed look around what I'm going to call the world's greatest modern Supercar collection I think that's title I used for it before and that's probably the most accurate way to describe what we're looking at here so big thanks to the shake for hosting the Ferrari Owners Club UAE today and of course to the Owners Club for having me along to join them it's been absolutely amazing yeah just letting it all sink in I'm going to wrap up there thank you very much for watching I'll catch up with you very soon make sure you subscribe for all the other videos from this tour and trip to Dubai cheers guys hi Nick how are you hello welcome thank you very much nice to see you pretty excited about I can see the car over there let's go straight
