THIS Is My iPhone Home Screen in 2024!

**Exploring the World of Apple Widgets**

When it comes to customizing our iPhone home screens, there's one feature that can really make an impact: widgets. In this article, we'll take a closer look at what widgets are, how to create them, and some tips for using them effectively.

**Discovering Widget Options**

There are many different types of widgets available, each with its own unique features and design options. One great example is the "AI" widget created by Basic Apple Guy, which can be seen in action on a recent video. This widget showcases a subtle AI design element nestled within a sea of Apple gear. We were impressed by this widget's sleek design and decided to add it to our own home screen.

**Creating Custom Widgets**

If you're feeling creative, you can create your own custom widgets using the "Wiie" app. To do so, simply open Wiie and tap on the "+" button to start creating a new widget. You'll be presented with a range of design options, including ring charts, bar charts, text shapes, calendars, actions, and more. If you're not feeling inspired by these options, don't worry! There are also many pre-made widgets available in the Explore tab that you can browse through.

**Adding Custom Widgets to Your Home Screen**

Once you've created your custom widget, it's time to add it to your home screen. To do so, simply tap on the "+" button and select the "Add Widget" option. You'll then be presented with a range of widget sizes to choose from, including small, medium, and large. Choose the size that best suits your needs, and you're ready to go.

**Managing Transparency**

One feature that can really enhance the look of your widgets is transparency. When creating a new widget, you'll have the option to set it up with transparency. To do so, simply tap on "Manage" and then select the "Transparency" option. From here, you can adjust the level of transparency to suit your needs.

**Tips for Using Widgets Effectively**

When it comes to using widgets effectively, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, consider the size of your widget: larger widgets can be overwhelming, so choose one that complements your home screen design. Second, think about the type of information you want to display on your widget. Do you need to stay up-to-date with the latest news, or perhaps display a favorite quote? Choose a widget that fits your needs.

**Using Widgets in Different Scenarios**

Widgets can be used in a variety of scenarios, from adding a touch of personality to your home screen to providing essential information at a glance. For example, you might use a widget to display the current date and time, or perhaps show off your favorite photos. The possibilities are endless!

**Exploring Widget Options Further**

If you're feeling adventurous, there are many other widgets available to explore. One great option is the "Clean and Minimal" date widget, which provides a simple yet elegant way to display the current date. Another option is the "Earth View at Night" wallpaper, which showcases a stunning view of our planet at night.

**Conclusion**

Widgets can be a powerful tool for customizing your iPhone home screen. By creating custom widgets, adding them to your home screen, and managing their transparency, you can add a touch of personality and functionality to your device. Whether you're looking to enhance your home screen design or simply provide essential information at a glance, widgets are definitely worth exploring further.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhere's my iPhone lock screen for 2024 I'm going to show you how you can get an exclusive Apple Insider wallpaper and how you can get these awesome transparent widgets welcome everybody to Apple Insider it is Andrew here and I have just been updating my iPhone wallpapers to get some fresh ones in there I'm going to walk you through all my preferred apps widgets wallpapers all that kind of stuff in this video I'm also going to share an exclusive app Apple Insider wallpaper that you might want to check out and I'll show you how to get it and I'll also be able to show you how you can get cool widgets that are basically transparent and blend right into your home screen so let's go ahead and dive into it so here we are on my iPhone we can start here with the lock screen which is pretty basic right now I'm just running the stock wallpaper because I kind of do a lot of videos and I like to keep things kind of stock which helps identify the generation of the phone that we're talking about so this is Apple stock one for the natural titanium which is the model of my phone aside from than that I have a few widgets going on starting on the top left I have one for my Apple watch battery life always got to keep an eye on it cuz I wear it to sleep so battery is pretty crucial then I have my Fitness One my activity rings for the day got to keep up with those easy to see them right here on my iPhone versus always check in my Apple watch next was the temperature the humidity depending on which one I'm feeling at but yeah it's it's quite rainy out right now so our humidity has been ticking up for sure then lastly my sleep tracking this is just using Apple's Health app so I track it on my watch then it goes to the health LA on my phone and shows here inside of this widget gives me idea how much sleep I actually got last night sometimes I kind of fall asleep while working and I don't always know when I fell asleep so I kind of like being able to visualize it here on my lock screen soing up this is what my actual phone home screen looks like and I know it's super basic there is nothing fancy going on right here so the first things here at the bottom basic stuff inside of my dock I've got the phone I've got Safari I've got messages and I've got music some of the most commonly used apps that I have in the rows up here again more commonly used ones between mail the camera the clock and the G7 this is actually for my blood sugar I'm a type 1 diabetic so this tracks me throughout the day and I can see in real time what my blood sugar is going across there looks like I'm ticking up a little bit high but I'm still below my high values but I'm always launching that app so I like having it right here on my home screen to the left is a smart stack of widgets so there's a bunch of different widgets that will cycle through throughout the day we've got ones like carrot going on there is a calendar keeps me up to dat with all my appointments got the battery widgets again the G7 pulls into here though it doesn't always update as frequently as I feel like it should like right there it's like showing me ticking above 180 which is not the case so this is not even updating unfortunately right now so hopefully that gets cleared up in an update to the G7 but yeah I have other things like notes on there photos on there a few different ones that I like to cycle through if we tap and hold on that we can go to edit that smart stack you can see all the different ones that I have in here you can change the order remove them anything like that I also have Smart rotate turned on so every time I pick up my phone it'll show me something different kind of based on what it thinks that I'll need whether it thinks I'm going to need photos maybe I'm going to need the notes app because it's like during work hours and I script a lot of stuff through notes so I like having the smart stack on the top one is the one I feel like a lot of people are excited about uh or interested in which is the clock widget I just love how open this makes my home screen look it's just very simple personally I use like Spotlight to open most my apps I'll just pull down and get into Spotlight to jump into things like it just always seems to know what I want so I just like having this open and clean with a Time clearly on display so what am I using to do this as you can see right there underneath of it tells you the app I wish that app name would disappear but it's called widie so if I tap on this it'll actually take me into widie and I'll show you how I set this up let's first go back a second and I'm going to go to my lock screen I'm going to hit the uh you know the plus button here and let's add a new wallpaper so I'm going to go down to photos because as odd as it sounds you do need to choose or know what wallpaper you are going to be using to set up the widie widget so let's just go to suggested photos you know there's ones of Harrison let's go to a new one I'm going to add this one which is I think really cool so this is from basic apple guy he created two different ones for Apple inside you can see the AI subtly in the middle and there's tons of Apple gear all around it I think this looks really cool we even have like this print on T-shirts that you can see down like below this video but we're going to go ahead and use this one so I'm going to hit add and we're going to add this as a wallpaper pair and then we're going to go back here to my home screen as you can see now you can see kind of what's going on that widget isn't actually transparent it just mirrors the wallpaper that's on my phone so let's go back into wiie and we're going to need to create a new one so I'm going to hit create new and I'm I'm going to go again with large and we can add a uh name and author so I've created the new one I'm going to hat tap on plus we can add whatever you want look at all these things there's ring charts bar charts grass um text shapes calendars actions all these different things that we can add to this widget here if you don't want to go through the whole process of making one there are a bunch of featured ones here in the explore tab so you can go between like lock screen home screen um Apple watch all of that so look at all these these are like the small ones here's more of the medium ones that we looked at a lot of different like this one looks really cool so let's go ahead we'll choose this one we're going to tap on import widget imported successfully there you can see the imported widgets that I have and I've just added that clean and minimal date but as you'll see it has that same wallpaper behind it which doesn't match the current one that I'm using so let's fix that we're going to go then to manage and then set up transparency we're going to tap on that and we need to take these away and add a new one so we have to add a new one here and of course you can see I don't have one in my camera roll so what we do we go all the way to the end and then we're going to hold down and we're going to scroll over till it's blank this is what my you know the background kind of looks like when it's all blurred and we're going to screenshot that so we're going to go back here we're going to go back into widie and I'm going to choose that there we go and you can do an optional one for dark mode as well if you want to do both of them it can automatically change when you're in dark mode light mode but we're going to go ahead generate images go back to create and now you can see it'll automatically update to include that background once we've created that widget here we have to go to manage I know this is getting tedious but we're going to go to these large widget slots going to tap on the next one and choose this one that I created it's going to go there at the top going to confirm it we're going to go ahead and apply we're all good there so now we can go back to the home screen I can edit tap the plus button go all the way down to the bottom where we're going to get to wiie and I'm going to swipe over to the large slots and we can see we got a couple of them here should be large number two add widget just like that boom I have this wonderful looking widget blending into the background right here on my home screen other things to point out on my home screen if we swipe over um this is my second home screen my secondary most used app so things like wallet photos the home app all those uh plus my fitness and podcast here third one this row here is suggestions based on what I'm using all the time I got another water llama thing there uh things crucial things like the Apple Insider app I use this first screen and then I even have it change based on time of day with things like night mode or sleep mode we'll go ahead and hide most of them put into like the the moon wallpaper and the the Earth view at night I looks really pretty towards the end of the day if you want to get this apple Insider wallpaper for yourself or the other option we have that's a little bit lighter there is a link for it down below in the description thank you again to basic apple guy for creating those for Apple Insider if you guys have any other questions let me know what your wallpapers look like share them with me on Twitter at Andrew U or in Threads at Andrew
