iPhone 11 Pro Max vs Galaxy Note 10+ Camera Comparison

The Camera Showdown: iPhone 12 Pro vs Samsung Galaxy Note 10

As I looked at my surroundings, everything was as red as the photo on my iPhone. The vibrant colors were almost too real to believe. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed that the note 10 had done some post-processing to kind of eliminate that red and while it looks appealing, it's not as color accurate as the iPhone. In fact, I feel like the iPhone did a pretty good job at still making this feel like a nighttime photo where you can pretty much see all the details here, whereas the note 10 kind of just boosted everything, making everything completely visible but killing some of those shadows that we see over here on the iPhone. Honestly, it's up to you what you like, and both phones have their strengths when it comes to straight-up natural photos.

I took a few more of those night mode photos and this one with this chase logo was particularly interesting. The note 10 did a really good job at retaining those highlights, which was surprising since the phone tends to overexpose, but it held onto those highlights really well. In contrast, the iPhone was a bit overexposed in that blue logo. Moving on to another shot, I took a picture of my car and let me just say I was the only one out shooting these photos, but if you look closely at both of these images, it looks like there's a second person standing next to me - some spooky stuff indeed! Both phones lose points for that issue, but in all seriousness, both of these photos look really good. The iPhone still has a bit more detail if you look up in the trees and see a bit more sharpness around the logo area of the car in the front.

Now, let's talk about video capabilities. I started off with the front-facing camera and noticed that skin tones on the iPhone looked a bit better than they did on the note 10, which looks a bit more washed out. However, both phones are acceptable, and the iPhone does do quite a better job in terms of capturing the subtleties of human skin. Moving on to outdoor shots, I noticed that we're having an overexposed issue with the sky again, would be iPhone, but while both phones are struggling, the note 10 is retaining that glow quite a bit more than the iPhone. It's actually just kind of crazy how much the iPhone loses it and the note 10 is able to retain it.

When it comes to rear camera shots, I have to say that the shot right here with the big wreath was particularly impressive. The iPhone kind of crushes it, with you being able to see all the little petals. However, both phones look great in this context. In terms of stabilization, both phones are doing a really solid job, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 has an edge when it comes to its steady mode, which is available in 1080p. The iPhone, on the other hand, doesn't have a steady mode, although it's working to improve its video capabilities.

In conclusion, both of these phones are going to be very happy with anyone who buys them, but I do think professionals will be able to enjoy the iPhone's photos more, since they have more room to work with. In terms of what I'd like to see in the next iteration of both phones, I'd love to see a bit better edge detection in portrait mode on the iPhone, and more details out of my shots, as well as improved skin tone retention for the note 10.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's going on guys your average consumer and today we are gonna be doing a long awaited comparison of the new iPhone 11 pearl max versus the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 people might be wondering what about the pixel pixel 4 is coming right around the corner so if you guys want a future comparison of something that's a bit more updated let me know what the comment down below but right now we are going to go Apple versus Samsung and see which one comes out on top so let's start off with some photos right here I've got a picture of myself you know yours truly and right off the bat you can immediately see there's a big color difference here and the iPhone is more true to life than the Samsung I definitely think my skin tone picture is pretty well here with the iPhone while the note 10 looks a little bit more on like the purple side it's not as accurate so not only are the skin tones and colors more accurate on the iPhone but it seems to do a better job with exposure so if you look around the collar of my sweater here you'll notice that there's a lot of detail that's still available on the iPhone while on the note n it is a bit more washed out and overexposed and you also see that with that building behind me you can see those lines on the iPhone while on the note 10 it looks pretty much like a flat wall now oddly enough even though the iPhone seems to have all this extra detail compared to the no 10 the note tempted a better job with my facial hair keeping all of that in focus and you can see those strands a lot more clearly than with the iPhone so it did a good job there but overall you get better color and more details with an iPhone then you do with the note now right here we've got a picture of this dope tank and honestly both pictures look really good and no tense picture looks a bit more sharp and contrasting so it has a really nice appeal to it not to mention the note 10 it's a bit more saturated so the colors pop a bit more while the iPhone has those natural looking colors more accurate but the note tens does pop a bit more I feel like most people would find that just a bit more appealing and I feel like what you get right out of the no 10s camera is a bit more postable if you don't know how to edit or color grade you this is gonna be something that's gonna look good you don't have to really do to it while the iPhone if you want it to pop a little bit more you're gonna have to do some editing which I know a lot of people don't know how to do now next up we got a figure of my boy Gogeta from the Dragon Ball super movie and right away you can see a pretty big difference in the way he looks on both cameras and with the iPhone again natural-looking skin tones while the note n looks a bit more washed out now obviously both of these look really good but if you're looking for color accuracy the iPhone nailed it and another area you see a lot more detail is in the back so right in the back you'll see this big shadowy area which is a table but it casted this big shadow that the note 10 wasn't really able to bring out it's actually so contrasting that it just kind of kills the whole area looks completely black while the iPhone 10 it's actually pretty well lit back there and you can see that that's like a little coffee table behind the couch so it does a better job with those shadows for that dynamic range is kind of flexing its muscles right there now next up we've got an interesting one this is a portrait mode and live focused photo and there are quite a few differences here again skin tones we see that the iPhone is more true to life while on the note 10 it's a bit more washed out we see that it has a more pinkish tone to it not the case in real life and another thing to notice is that her hair at the bottom of the frame you can see that there's far more detail on the iPhone whereas the note 10 it kind of looks all blurred together you can't see that sheen that she's got going on on the other photo it just looks a bit more flat and you can't really see the individual strands on the note ends like you do on the iPhones but here's where things get interesting the note 10 has what looks like much better edge detection around her hair so you can see around her head the note 10 cuts it out perfectly this is a nice clean image whereas with the iPhone it blurs all over it's really just unstable so I'm not really crazy about the edge detection on the iPhone no.10 definitely beats it here and it's a little unfortunate because the iPhone is a better overall image with the extra detail in the hair the forehead there's a lots of different spots that look really good on phone but without the matching edge detection to make it a really complete photo it can just look like a bit of a mess even though it looks awesome outside of that and the next one is pretty much another example of that edge detection failing on the iPhone but no ten cuts out Gogeta perfectly but the iPhone his arm just kind of goes away as well as that blue belt that he's got around his waist and even the stand that's holding on to him but there are a lot of little areas that the edge detection fails whereas the no.10 kind of nails the entire thing perfectly even though the iPhone has better colors now with both of these phones having wide-angle lenses I of course had to get a landscape shot and I find this photo to be really interesting immediately I can tell you just by looking at this the colors on the note ends photo catches my eye it looks a bit more appealing while the iPhones was more color accurate when looking at it in real life but still then though 10 gives you a final image that just pops a bit more it looks more appealing to the eye but something I noticed is that in the grass area you'll see that the note 10 has way more detail you're actually able to see the blades of grass whereas with the iPhone it's a bit more muddied up you can't really make out all the different pieces of grass and you also see that in the back with the trees note 10 does a better job capturing that detail there so overall I gotta say even though the iPhone is a bit more color accurate the note 10 put out a pretty good image that I would pick over the iPhones and with the next picture we're seeing Samsung come through with that nice punchy color that looks really good here while the iPhone more natural but still something about that no 10 image just catches my eye is just a bit more vibrant I personally like saturated photos but if you are a professional you're not gonna want that saturation right off the bat and because the iPhone seems like it's able to put out more detailed shots it gives professionals a lot more room to work with they can highlight certain areas that they probably couldn't with the note 10 due to the lack of that detail so it just gives them a lot of room to work with they get to play around with the photo and bring out exactly what they want out of it so with that in mind I think professionals or anyone who really wants to mess around and get their photo of the way they like it would lean towards the iPhone a bit more no.10 even though that no.10 looking really good right now and of course your boy had to take a selfie and you can just see right off the bat that with the note 10 it's got this washed out look to it even though it is a bit brighter it's kind of washed out and there's just not as much detail as you're seeing with the iPhone and it looks like I have a beauty filter on on the note 10 even though I don't and that's because of that lack of information you're not getting all of that detail all the ridges and everything the pores in my face some people might like that actually uh-huh but I could actually appreciate the fact that the note n tried to expose me a bit better than with the iPhone the iPhone I do look a bit darker you know brothers need that extra exposure when it comes to these selfies but that does have a negative impact on the overall image because if you look on the sidewalk you'll see that the note 10 has some overexposed area as well with the iPhone you can see all of the detail all the colors there you can see everything clearly that's in that frame now something else I found pretty interesting is I took a couple more selfies and a lot of the times I would have this really overexposed sky and in the viewfinder of the note 10 I would see the same thing that post-processing did a good job of bringing that color back into the sky so it at least looks like the sky is blue rather than white so it's a good thing that Samsung able to do that I wish the iPhone did that a bit better at least for selfies with me but I can tell that it's over exposing the sky because it's trying to keep my face exposed and not a complete shadowy mess and while I appreciate it it did have a negative impact on the sky kind of like what we saw with the previous no 10 photo now it took a bunch of pictures during the day but we had to get some night shots as well and as you guys can see here a normal night shot from both of these phones looks pretty good since then though 10 tends to bump up that exposure a bit more you can see that it looks like a lighter photo while the iPhone keeps it pretty dark and I took the same photos again but this time with their night modes now with these night modes you can see a pretty big difference compared to the previous photo now right off the bat I got a save no 10 looks like an appealing image because of the color the iPhone has this red to it and I was a little confused until I looked up and everywhere around me was as red as the photo on the iPhone so very color accurate but the note 10 did some post-processing to kind of eliminate that red and while it looks appealing it's not as color accurate as the iPhone I feel like the iPhone did a pretty good job at still making this feel like a nighttime photo where you can pretty much guys you look at these two videos and tell me who's complaining they both look amazing these are great great videos and coming from a smart phone the fact that these phones are able to do this is just for Samsung I'd like to get a bit more details out of my shots and maybe have the skin tones do a better job at retain the proper color that would be awesome so either way guys let me know what you think down below in the description who do you think has the better camera which one fits your style a bit more let me know and I'll catch you guys in the next one till then it's your average consumer
