Mercedes-AMG E63 S vs C63 S drag race & rolling race - is there really much difference _ Head2Head
The Transcription Behind the Thrilling Video: A Closer Look at the Mercedes e63 AMG s and C63 AMG s
As I stood next to my new Mercedes e63 AMG s, I couldn't help but notice its sleek design and powerful presence. On the other side, the Carlo c63 AMG s seemed just as impressive, with its unique characteristics that set it apart from its twin. One key difference between the two cars was their drivetrain - the e63 s was all-wheel drive, while the c63 s was rear-wheel drive.
I decided to get a closer look at what had happened when I timed the cars on the quarter-mile track earlier. The e63 s had covered the distance in 11.2 seconds, while the c63 s took 12.1 seconds. It was clear that the e63 s had a significant advantage over its counterpart.
Now, let's take a closer look at the numbers behind these impressive performances. The Mercedes e63 AMG s costs around £88,000 and features a four-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that produces 610 horsepower and 850 Newton meters of torque. It also boasts four-wheel drive, but weighs in at 1,955 kilograms.
In contrast, the C63 AMG s costs significantly less at around £70,000, thanks to its four-liter V8 engine with twin turbochargers producing 510 horsepower and 700 Newton meters of torque. However, it's worth noting that the c63 s is heavier, weighing in at 1,800 kilograms.
When I timed the e63 s from naught to 60 miles an hour, it took just 3.2 seconds to reach its top speed. Meanwhile, the c63 s took a mere 4.1 seconds to achieve the same feat.
The main difference between the two cars becomes apparent when they're put through their paces on the road. In our rolling race test, I imagined myself driving along at 50 miles an hour with Sport Plus mode engaged, and suddenly, another driver comes level with me. The e63 s takes charge immediately, using its incredible power to pull ahead.
Meanwhile, my c63 s companion tries to keep up, but ultimately can't quite match the e63 s's pace. I decided to simulate this scenario by faking a chase down the road, and sure enough, the c63 s starts to back off as it struggles to keep up with its more powerful counterpart.
It's clear that while the C63 AMG s may weigh less than the Mercedes e63 AMG s, its extra power can't make up for its lack of torque. In this case, the e63 s is indeed a "monster" on the road - so much so that I felt compelled to cut out an embarrassing part from my video review and delete it entirely.
Despite this slight embarrassment, I hope you enjoyed watching our thrilling comparison between these two powerful cars. If you did, please like, share, and subscribe to our channel for more exciting content!
