The World's First Reversible Micro USB Cable: A Game-Changer?

One of the main reasons that Everyone likes USB type-c cables is the fact that you can plug it into the phone in any direction. What if you could get a micro USB cable that could do the same? My name is Bat Nagpal and we're checking out the McFlip, which is the world's first reversible micro USB cable. Let's check it out.

The MC Flip is indeed the world's first reversible micro USB cable, and it was successfully funded on Indiegogo. Crowdfunding is all the rage nowadays isn't it? Over $180,000 is what they raised, and that's a fantastic amount of money for a new product to start with. The McFlip has an aluminum housing that means that the connectors at the end are made out of aluminum, and the cable itself is a reinforced cable which has a nylon braiding so it's a braided cable that gives it additional strength.

They claim that this cable can take a weight of up to 30 kg, which is absolutely fantastic. Now, the cable is 1 M long. The cool feature for this cable is the fact that you can reverse the micro USB connector and plug it into your phone so you don't really have to care about what direction you're plugging it in. It is a slight snug fit when it goes into your phone, uh so you need to be really careful and plug it all the way through and initially it'll be a little bit of a difference from a regular micro USB cable which or micro USB connector which plugs in quite easily.

This one will require a little bit of an effort. The other side which has a standard USB type connector will not be reversible and that is a bit of a downside because now those reversible connectors are also available. Now, the McFlip costs $19.99 and they offer free worldwide shipping so it's roughly uh rupees uh 12200 somewhere in that region for a reversible micro USB cable. Now, it is fairly expensive if you compare it to many of the other cables available in the market today but the fact that it is reversible might interest a lot of people.

You can also look around on the internet and you can find it for slightly cheaper elsewhere. But if you go on their website, they're selling it for $19.99 so it's available in three colors, you can get a silver gold or black. The one that you're looking at is the silver color, according to me it's the best-looking color uh the black color has a red cable and black connectors at the end all of these uh connectors including the USB connector on the far side and the micro USB connector which is reversible on the phone side both of them are goldplated.

So, you get a good connection and corrosion resistance from the cable as well. So, the cable is also tangled resistant and fairly easy to carry around you can wrap it up and it won't get tangled up like uh traditional cables that come inside the box of a phone so that's a really good thing and like I said, it can take a weight up to 30 kg so that means that even if you pull on it or anything it's not going anywhere.
