The Volkswagen Polo: A Small Car with a Big Heart

The Volkswagen Polo is a small car that proves size doesn't matter when it comes to performance and features. The Polo's surprisingly spacious cabin, posh materials, excellent entertainment system, and big car driving feel make it a worthy winner of the "Car Wow" Little Legend Award.

On the other hand, the Volkswagen Touareg is huge disk of a premium screen that is pure eye candy, making it a standout in the automotive world. The Mercedes A-Class has an MBU X operating system that is great to use, but the latest BMW iDrive system found in the new X5 wins the "Car while technology" award due to its ease of use, responsiveness, and ability to be operated by a combination of voice gestures, touchscreen, swivel wheel, or touchpad.

The Aston Martin Vantage is certainly striking, and the Range Rover Velar exudes class. However, they narrowly beat out the new Peugeot 508 for the "Car Wow Style" award, as it makes a normal mainstream family hatchback look achingly beautiful both inside and out.

Peugeot's design team has done it again with the new 508, making it seem that the French firm can just do no wrong right now. The Ford Fiesta Active has cosseting suspension, while the Citroen C4 Cactus has a spot-and-response bump system. However, the Peugeot 508 offers more comfort on the road than either of these cars.

The IPace is both a pure Jaguar and a pure EV, while the Volvo XC40 went straight to the top of the small posh SUV class. No car is more worthy of the "Car Wow GameChanger" award than the new Mercedes A-Class, which is desirable, good to drive, and economical. However, it's the combination of its cool interior design and rival technology that really raises the bar for all cars.

The Kia Ceed is a great family car for an incredible price, but the Skoda Kodiaq wins the "Car while Value" award due to its smart look, good driving feel, spaciousness inside, slick entertainment system, and ability to double as a van with the rear seats removed.

On the other hand, the Mini Hatch is a small cart with a genuine premium feel. The Bentley Continental GT is quite simply lavish.
