The Future of Sustainability: Recharging the World with Anchor
As a leader in the consumer electronics industry, anchor has spent the last decade committed to helping consumers keep their devices charged and powered up. However, as we continue to advance in this space, it's become clear that our responsibility extends far beyond just providing innovative products. We have a responsibility to do our part in creating a more sustainable world.
Today, we invite everyone to take a step forward together and join us in recharging the future. It's time for us to rethink our approach to sustainability and make conscious decisions about the materials we use, not only for packaging but also for building products. By making these changes, we can significantly reduce our environmental impact and contribute to a more sustainable future.
In 2019, anchor began to reimagine its packaging design, seeking innovative ways to reduce material usage and incorporate eco-friendly alternatives. This commitment to sustainability has led to significant results. In just one year, we switched to 100 FSE certified materials in the packaging of our Nano lineup, saving up to 10 tons of materials, including 6.5 tons of plastic. We also found ways to incorporate bio-based materials into our cables, further reducing the use of petroleum plastics.
Our Nano 3 chargers, with their ultra-compact form factor, significantly reduces product volume and plastic use. By supercharging all devices, we eliminate the need for multiple chargers, making it easier for consumers to switch to sustainable energy solutions. In 2023, anchor will begin using certified post-consumer recycled plastic in upcoming packaging projects, with a goal of becoming 100% plastic-free in all new product packaging by 2027.
In addition to our efforts in packaging, anchor is committed to transforming the way we power the world. We've launched a range of sustainable energy solutions, including solar generators and solar balcony systems. Our power stations are built with sustainable technology and durable materials, designed to last over 10 years and reduce the need for repeated purchases.
One of our most exciting developments in this area is the launch of our balcony solution in Europe, a DIY solar solution designed to bring more energy independence to consumers while reducing the burden on the planet. In 2023, anchor will be making a major move into sustainable energy, with new developments and partnerships to announce.
Energy conservation can often come from simple changes in product design. Our smart AC outlet, for example, conserves power by automatically shutting down after 15 minutes of inactivity, reducing unnecessary energy consumption. Similarly, our mobile charging solutions have been redesigned to increase energy conversion efficiency to 95 percent, reducing energy loss by up to 21 percent.
In partnership with leading semiconductor manufacturers, we've utilized efficient production materials that emit fewer carbon emissions. This successful collaboration has resulted in a significant reduction in global emissions, with over 5,000 tons of CO2 saved within one year alone.
As we move forward into 2023, anchor is committed to continued innovation and sustainability. We're proud to announce our new partnership with Oceana, starting this April, which will enable us to make a meaningful impact on reducing plastic pollution, protecting marine life, and preserving habitats around the world.
By joining forces with like-minded organizations and individuals, we know that achieving our goals won't be easy. But together, we can recharge the future and live charged, creating a more sustainable world for generations to come.
