September TBR + Mini Unboxing!

My Reading List for September: Books to Watch Out For

I'm excited to share with you my reading list for this month, and I have to say that I've been looking forward to it for a while now. As some of you may know, I'm trying to get back into reading after taking a bit of a break over the summer. Now that the weather is starting to change, I'm feeling more motivated than ever to dive back into books and explore new genres and authors.

One of the first books on my list is The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman. Like I mentioned in my end-of-summer book haul video, this book has been on my radar for a while now, and I'm really excited to finally read it. I've heard great things about it from fellow book lovers, and I love the idea of a secret library that collects books from different dimensions. It sounds like the perfect blend of fantasy and adventure, and I'm eager to see what it has to offer.

Another book that's been on my list for a while now is The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang. As some of you may know, this book has received an incredible amount of buzz in the book community, and I'm one of them. I've heard amazing things about this fantasy novel, which combines elements of Chinese history and mythology with epic fantasy battles. I'm really looking forward to diving into this world and experiencing its magic firsthand.

I also have a copy of The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden on my list. This book has been one of my most anticipated releases for months now, and I can barely contain my excitement. I've heard that it's a beautifully written story that combines elements of Russian folklore with epic fantasy battles. I'm really looking forward to seeing what this author brings to the table, and I think it's going to be an amazing read.

Of course, no reading list would be complete without some romance novels, right? One book that's been on my radar for a while now is The Hating Game by Sally Thorne. I've heard great things about this romantic comedy, which tells the story of two co-workers who engage in a series of escalating pranks and one-upmanship until they realize their feelings for each other. It sounds like the perfect blend of humor and heart, and I'm really looking forward to reading it.

I also have a copy of All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven on my list. This book has been getting so much attention lately, and I can see why – it's a beautifully written story that explores themes of mental health, love, and loss. I've heard that it's a must-read for anyone who loves contemporary fiction, and I'm really looking forward to experiencing its emotional depth.

In addition to these books, I also have a copy of Red, White, and Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston on my list. This book has been making waves in the book community, and I can see why – it's a beautifully written romance novel that tells the story of two first sons from different countries who fall in love at a royal wedding. It sounds like the perfect blend of politics, passion, and humor, and I'm really looking forward to reading it.

Finally, I have a copy of The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi on my list. This book has been one of my most anticipated releases for months now, and I can barely contain my excitement. I've heard that it's a beautifully written story that combines elements of Indian mythology with epic fantasy battles. I'm really looking forward to seeing what this author brings to the table, and I think it's going to be an amazing read.

Overall, I'm really excited for these books and can't wait to dive into them. Reading is such a great way to escape reality and explore new worlds, and I feel like this list is going to provide me with plenty of opportunities to do just that.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: encan you guys believe that it's already September because I can't believe that it's September it's not real hey guys it's Hanna and today I am filming my September TBR so just before we get into the books that I plan to read this month I kind of wanted to go into some just general life updates and channel updates and things like that as some of you guys may know I just started school actually last week and I'm in my first semester in college so I've had a pretty busy couple of weeks now and I've just been trying to settle into school and get used to that whole new environment and stay on top of my homework and everything like that so I haven't been able to film as many videos as I would like to or edit as many videos and put them up as frequently as I'd like to and I just wanted to kind of explain that that's mostly because of school and I've just been really busy with that so what that kind of means for the upcoming months is that I'm probably going to be putting out videos less often than I used to I know I've been missing some top 5 Wednesday videos which makes me really sad because those are some of my favorite videos to film but like I said in a previous video I definitely do plan to have at least one video out a week so that's definitely something it's not like my channel is going to be empty but I just want to be able to focus on school and make that kind of a main priority at least while I'm settling in and also specific to this month I am doing something really exciting I am going to Cassandra Clare's book signing in about three weeks from now and that's just super super exciting for me and I cannot wait to go so that is coming up this month so if you guys would like me to vlog that whole experience let me know in the comments down below and I will definitely try my best to do it I'm going to have to ask the venue of course if I'm allowed to film at all and if I am I definitely will if it's something you guys are interested in me doing so just let me know in the comments down below and I will do my best to do it if I can alright so now that I've rambled on and on enough let's just get into the books that I plan to read in the month of September so the very first book that I plan to finish reading this month because I actually started reading it yesterday is air fire by Sarah J mess so if you saw my August TBR you saw me freaking out over thrown and crown of midnight which I just finished last week actually and I didn't really have much time in the past couple of days to pick this book up but I finally started reading it yesterday and I'm about 35 pages in so I've barely made a dent but I am super excited to finish this one especially because today is the release day for queen of Shadows and I pre-ordered it and if you couldn't tell from the title of this video it's a September TVR slash unboxing and it's an unboxing because right here I have my pre-order queen of Shadows and I thought since it was sitting right outside I may as well just unbox it on camera since I was gonna film right now anyway so let's unbox this puppy oh okay let's ah why am I so bad at this no didn't work oh this is how much of a genius I am there's a tab right there that says pull to open Wow okay I'm gonna pull to open it oh there it is in all its glory queen of Shadows I'm so excited guys I haven't even finished air fire and I'm already so excited for this one it's just it's beautiful oh my god look at her gorgeous dress on the back oh I'm so excited so yes the second book I plan on reading this month is Queen of Shadows right after I finish arrow fire I'm picking this one up because I'm so addicted to this series and if you guys haven't started it yet I highly recommend starting it and I know there were a couple of people who commented in my August wrap-up saying that they were kind of tentative to start the series because of all the hype surrounding it but guys I promise you the hype with this series the hype is there with good reason because it's fantastic it's definitely worth it I promise you just please start it and that's just me saying from reading the first two books I don't know anything about air fire not commenting on air fire or queen of Shadows because clearly I haven't read those two yet but at least with the first two they're great I highly recommend starting it because it's wonderful and super addictive and just super super-great then once I finish marathoning the rest of the throne of glass series I plan on reading the reptile room the second book in the series of unfortunate events series by Lemony Snicket now again if you watched my August TBR you saw that I read the first book in this series last month and I really enjoyed it and I have the first four books because I'm borrowing them from a friend and I want to pick up the second one and continue on with the series because I really did enjoy it so I can't wait to get to this one too the next book I plan on reading in the month of September is the glass arrow by Kristen Simmons now I mentioned this in a previous video as well and I said that I really enjoyed the summary of this book and that's why I picked it up in the first place and I still haven't read it from when I started reading it then so I'm still about like 80 pages into it but I really do want to finish it this month because I did really enjoy the first part of it that I started reading and I think I will enjoy the rest of it so I want to finish it this month but yeah I can't wait to finish this one and see what I think of it then the next book I plan on reading this month is another super exciting book for me which I also mentioned in a previous video and that is all the light we cannot see by Anthony Doerr like I said in my end of summer book haul I have been highly highly anticipating this book and I've just put it off for so long because I didn't own it and I really wanted to buy a copy of this one and read it because I just really liked the cover that's part of the reason not gonna lie but also because I've heard that it's a really great book and I finally have it now and I'm just gonna read it this month because I have to because I'm just dying to know why everyone loves it so much because I think I'm also gonna really love it a lot so can't wait to get to this one as well then the next book I plan on reading this month hopefully if I have enough time because it's quite a long one it is operated by Naomi Novik again I mentioned this book in my end of summer book haul and said that I was highly anticipating this one as well and it's true I really am and I can't wait to get to it because I've just been on like a fantasy kick lately and I'm just really in the mood for some fantasy and I feel like this is going to fit into that very well and I've heard nothing but good things so I can't wait to see what I think of it myself and the next book is mr. penumbra's 24-hour bookstore by Robin Sloane I've been wanting to read this book for quite a long time now I don't know too much about this book I do know it is about a man who owns a bookstore and I'm assuming his name is mr. penumbra just a wild guess but I have heard that it is a fantastic book and I'm borrowing this from a friend and she's the one who recommended the book to me and I really cannot wait to get to it because it just sounds great and I've heard from other people who have reviewed this book also that it is a book for book lovers and what else could you really ask for so I think I'll pick this one up probably in the middle of some of the other fantasy books that I'm reading this month just to kind of read a little something different but again super excited for this one and finally the last book I have planned to read this month is again another highly anticipated book for me and that is beauty queens by Libba Bray I have heard from countless people my friends in real life and from people here on booktube that this book is just absolutely fantastic and super feminist and has extremely good representation and I am so excited to finally read it I am borrowing this book from a friend and she's marked one of the pages right here because she says it is one of her favorite parts of this book so when I get to it I'll know where it is but pretty much the only thing I know about this book is that it's somewhat beauty queens meet Lord of the Flies and that just sounds awesome to me and I'm super super excited to read this one this month because I've heard it's hilarious and I'm kind of in the mood for something funny as well because I've been reading some pretty dark depressing emotional things lately and I kind of want something a little bit lighter but yes I'm super thankful to my friend for letting me borrow this from her because I want to read it so badly so there you go guys that is it those are all the books I plan to read in the month of September knowing myself I probably won't stick to this I'll probably read some other things I'll probably read less than this especially because of school but we'll see i-it's just a tentative list of the books I want to read these are the ones I intend to read may not get to them all make it to more of them but who knows that's just the list for now so let me know in the comments down below what books you plan to read this month and ones you're most excited for and also let me know if there are any of these books on this list that you have read that you think I should get to first because you think they're particularly good and I will try my best to get to those books first but that's gonna have to be after air fire and queen of Shadows because I'm sorry those those are gonna be first because I am so excited for them but again thank you guys so much for watching I hope you enjoyed this video and I will see you in my next video bye every Harry Potter lover understands Paul woods is home it truly iscan you guys believe that it's already September because I can't believe that it's September it's not real hey guys it's Hanna and today I am filming my September TBR so just before we get into the books that I plan to read
