CYM RX7 NEW ENGINE REVEAL!

**The Vargas Brothers and My FD Project**

I'm thrilled to be working with the Vargas brothers on my FD project, which is finally starting to take shape. As soon as they come down, we'll be operational in our new shop, and I'm excited to share my progress with you all. We're looking to be up and running by tomorrow, although we'll all be away for Formula Drift Eerie, hoping that parts will start arriving soon. Before I even get into disassembling the car, I want to focus on the chassis first. Pulling out the arms and installing new bushings will set us back on track.

I've been thinking about how to tackle this project, and I believe starting with the chassis is key. Once that's done, I can move on to the rear end setup, which should be relatively simple if everything falls into place. With a reliable street car in mind, I'm aiming for a 500-wheel horsepower engine with four rotors. This might sound like an ambitious goal, but I'm confident that with the right parts and attention to detail, we can make it happen.

One of my main objectives is to create a car that's both reliable and visually appealing. I want to keep as much of the original bodywork as possible, while still making sure it's modernized enough to handle the demands of racing. The goal is to achieve an OEM-plus look without going overboard, which should make it stand out on the track. With a focus on classic design principles and careful consideration for every detail, I'm hoping to create a car that's both beautiful and functional.

**The Vargas Brothers' Influence**

I want to extend my gratitude to the Vargas brothers for making this dream a reality. Their expertise and guidance have been invaluable in bringing my project to life. As someone who's spent countless hours watching their videos, clips of which I've indulged in on YouTube, it's surreal to think that they're now a part of my build process. From watching them work tirelessly on their own cars to understanding their thought process and attention to detail, it's clear why they're so successful in the world of drift racing.

Their approach to building a car is meticulous and thorough, which has been a great lesson for me as I navigate this project. It's not just about throwing parts together; it's about creating something cohesive and functional that meets your goals. The Vargas brothers' passion and dedication to their craft are contagious, and I'm grateful to be able to learn from them.

**The FD Project's Progress**

I've had the opportunity to work on this project for a while now, and it's been an exciting journey so far. Initially, my plan was to remove an LS engine from an FD chassis and install a rotary heart back in it. However, I decided that wouldn't be feasible due to the car's rarity and value. Instead, I opted for a more practical approach, acquiring a clean Cym FD body shell at a good price.

With this foundation in place, I'm now focused on bringing my vision to life. The goal is to create an OEM-plus car with modifications that enhance its performance without compromising its originality. I'm excited to share the progress and insights gained throughout this project, as it's not just about building a car; it's about understanding the intricacies of drift racing and creating something truly unique.

**Upcoming Updates**

In the near future, I'll be sharing more updates on our build process, including details on engine assembly and testing. The Vargas brothers will likely join me in town for some work sessions, allowing us to dive deeper into specific aspects of the car and provide a firsthand account of their expertise. With each passing day, my excitement grows as we get closer to completing this project.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: engood morning guys welcome to the video i got a little bit of a compound update for you uh not necessarily the best news i talked about it briefly on twitter but we've been having a flooding issue here kind of to be expected we're in the middle of a swamp uh you can see in the woods there's some water here the problem is we're just so close to sea level that there's nowhere for water to go we've been told by neighbors that the road that we're off of can get up to a foot of water sometimes in the rainy season and i'm nervous because hurricane elsa which is now tropical storm is expected to hit within the next 24 hours with about four to six inches of rain and we still have pretty large puddles and stuff remaining from all the rainfall we've been getting over the past couple weeks you can see the grass here there's no more room in the pond for it to take water we've got like a little mini pond forming over here in the driveway got quite a bit of water over here another little mini lake over in this area another little frog pond in here that's full of algae and then the area kind of over by colette's shop always seems to have a pretty big puddle in this area as you guys saw us drifting through so trying to prepare we're gonna see if we can maybe get some pumps to pump some of the puddles dry we've only had issues with flooding in one of the buildings over not the car storage one but one of the lower buildings which we were able to combat with some sandbags and stuff and clearing out one of the drainage ditches but definitely one of the little weird nuances of a property like this in the middle of the florida swamp another issue that we've been having kind of related to the water level as well because the water level is higher our whole sewer system or septic system whatever you want to call it not been too stoked about it we have had broken toilets for about the past two weeks now um i guess because the water table is so high the septic system is like backing up and wanting to not flush and do weird things i'm not a plumber i don't really fully understand it so maybe i should have called grant in to explain this properly in the video but basically we're either gonna have to put a whole new septic system in or hopefully cross our fingers that just draining it will solve some of the issues that we're having it's not full but maybe it will help buy us some time a couple shop updates to bring you guys back up to speed um johan knocked out the flywheel on this we were actually able to salvage the flywheel it didn't oval out like i had in the past i didn't get a chance to film a clip showing you guys all of the attack welds that were broken but this time you wanted a full pass around and we're just accepting that you know if we gotta pull it off again we're going to need to revisit the flywheel design and figure out a better solution they make a locking plate for the flywheel bolts the problem is the triple disc setup that we have will not allow sufficient room for it we even have to have like very low profile air p bolts for the flywheel so there's not room for it so they're fully welded on now so hopefully they won't back out and this car is ripping ready to go freddie's gonna help me try to diagnose some other stuff with the evo today um compression is good we tried a different ecu because sometimes i guess the ec that i run on this car goes bad but that's fine so i think we're gonna hook like a volt meter up the coil packs and see if maybe a coil's dropping um this morning johan already pulled the trans out of the e36 with freddy looks like he started inspecting it i don't personally see any damage on the dog rings so hopefully that's good but confirmed we did have an issue again with the pilot bearing falling out so we're gonna need to figure out a different design or something else because that appears to be what keeps on contributing to the issues we're having where the clutch kind of stops working and the gearbox starts feeling weird on the car i keep telling you guys that i was going to show you kind of an updated setup with the e36 cooling didn't get a lot of great shots while it was going on but to give you a quick rundown basically we have a trophy truck radiator now it takes up the max amount of space possible it appeared if moving the fans up helped with that pocket of hot air that was like chilling down here and now it actually goes up into the engine bay and out of the vents so that alone helped tremendously and then in back some people actually run a dual radiator setup i really don't want to do a full rear mount and cut up the car and over complicate things and we're on a time crunch so we did a second radiator that is running off the back of the head and this is just kind of like a little drag racing radio with a fan in addition to adding more coolant to the system it also adds a little bit more fins and surface area for heat exchange so the fans on that kick on after a certain attempt and the fans of the front kick on after a certain temp and all day at the track the most abused this car's ever seen the most load at the for the longest duration of time i didn't even get over 200 but before one lap of clutch kickers this thing would get as hot as like 240 which is insane we're uh we're gonna take the k cars to a local uh little wing spot um real pumped on this there's a lot of like ee trucks there and we're about to roll up with the two smallest things we have here i think i always got such small cars we can just fit right out of here i'm excited we've been getting wings from this place forever but we have never eaten there whoa playing bumper cars already three two oh one god poor transfer case you know what a little bit too much fun there buddy didn't even let it warm up oh watch this dude this is like terrifying driving this thing on an actual road it's like struggling to get up to speed i am foot to the floor right now we're barely doing 60. thank god these things are five speed yeah i would love to drive this on the road the thing is we've got like semis and stuff here and i would be terrified if i like break then one of them like like we're i feel like we're in a tin can right now kind of does it feel like we're floating yes do we're cruising at five grand doing like 50. i love that now i see why this thing runs eight grand bro my pit yes that's where i'm going yo dude that's a motorcycle parking spot why are the motorcycle parking ain't no motorcycles showing up right now but oh yeah just hurricane you're slowly pulling you break over there yeah yeah you rip right through my grass come here often too fun yep laughs thought it was time to pull the rx7 out this car is way nicer than i remember so if you guys aren't aware technically seven's day july 7 7 7 why is that significant rx7 uh i will be transparent my original goals was to have my rx-7 done for seven's day but between moving to the compound and trying to run a formula drift team it's just one of those things where i had to get kind of put on the back burner i knew that this was going to be the first project once we got the move completed and i didn't want to start tearing into this car until we were properly set up in the new shop i wanted to kind of be like the first project but it's seven's day and i wanted to do something rx7 related especially now that i'm down on just one so i decided today i'm going to finally reveal to you guys what my plans are for this car go over it and show you guys a new power plant that i have ready to go let's see what this baby will do in stock form dude it rips huh yeah this thing is healthy definitely clunky just like the other one could use some bushings that's on the list amongst many other things but i'm gonna pull it in the shop and we're gonna dive right in yep this is a refresher on this thing uh it is pretty much bone stock other than i don't even know what this is i think it's like a speedo speed meter like completely untouched every single part is still in this engine bay let me show you the interior is immaculate there's a couple like little cracks in like the dash vents but this car is so good that it's honestly i don't even want to take it apart but i'm gonna have to this is the one i'm accepting it but look at this i've looked at so many rx7s and i have not found one like this this untouched i know why you guys are here let's talk about the engine well well well what do we have here i know some of you guys already guessed this because of my license plate that i got specially made big easter egg i know there's some funny stuff going on with this this is not your normal rotary so i'm gonna do my best to walk you guys through the thought process for my very first four rotor here um it's been a goal of mine to not just own all these random cars like it has been a goal of mine to own cars with the most special versions of every engine things like an sr20 vvl things like the voodoo things like a crazy ls things like the craziest version you can get of a rotary are all like bucket list things that i want to have on my car collection i don't want to have just mundane versions of cars i want to have the craziest most exciting driver oriented sound exhilarating thing i can possibly have and i'll be honest a four-rotor sounded like an extremely unfeasible thing with the prices that i saw online and understanding very little about rotaries until vargas hung out with me and convinced me that it was actually much more feasible than i anticipated i was only exposed to all the billet four rotor stuff with billet housings and all this expensive stuff from down under and well he showed me there was a four rotor that was basically just parts laying around and i want to say georgia and we were able to get it for a phenomenal deal now this engine has actually been done for i want to say four or five months now which is kind of insane it's just been sitting on a stand ready to go but i haven't wanted to kind of reveal it or talk about it because i knew it was going to be a while before we had time to work on it and i didn't want to be like yo this is what i'm doing i wanted to just do it unfortunately that's what i'm doing right now but i want to walk you guys through so you can be as excited as i have been and figure out why i've been going crazy about trying to find the perfect rx-7 and my thought process behind it all so i am not a rotary expert by any means i'm excited to learn more and be able to kind of educate you guys as i learn along the process i wish colette was here because she knows probably three times as much as i do and she'd probably help me explain more without sounding like an idiot but i will say my goal is not to overpower the chassis right as cool as a turbo four rotor would sound and would feel i think anything more than like 500 horsepower in an fd will basically be unusable on the street unless i go with some crazy wide body drag racing setup which is not what i want to do so with that being said this is going to be an na4 rotor it's going to make it a lot simpler on the build process and it's going to make it a lot less overpowered for the chassis so with that being said you can see we have stock housings vargas already had them all powder coated i wanted to go with a very oem look that's why it's kind of just like silver and black nothing out of this world or flashy it's utilizing rx-8 rotors and what that does is it ups the compression since we're n a we don't have to really worry as much about detonation let's just make a little bit more power the rx8 rivers in here also individually side clearance and balanced and to my understanding that's supposed to reduce rotor to plate contact so it'll be happier at higher rpm vargas also let me know that i guess typically a lot of these rotaries are balanced within like 30 grams this is balanced within a gram the entire rotating assembly which i think i even have footage of that we can put on the video here boom see this one can't see that there you go perfect all under a gram point two on both sides which is like nothing you can drop a hair on that bridge it'll throw it off right now but so the assembly is balanced rotors are machined the housings are you know they're done peripheral port mike already did uh the custom inserts on it so we can put out the wings clamps you know the flexible uh with the o-rings so the next step is uh building the engine so let's get to it he's telling me that we could reliably rev this thing to 11 000 rpm i'm gonna tell you guys if i can if i can hit the 10 000 rpm mark i'm gonna be stoked that's been like a bucket list goal is to have a car that revs into the five digits i just double checked to make sure that i was running a number of digits but um i think we'll end up somewhere around the 500 horsepower range maybe a little under maybe a little bit over uh it will probably run on ethanol i might run it on pump gas i don't know i'm scared with ethanol that it's going to use way too much fuel um this thing is going to be a bad but it's going to sound great if you notice over here it is a full peripheral port it's actually machine two to accept an hd clamp so when we get our itv set up that it's on the way we'll just weld some pipes to these and then we'll just have one v-band per housing which is kind of neat i'm a little bit worried with a full p that it might uh be a little bit hard to idle i know that's like kind of an issue with some of the 13b stuff and even the three-rotor stuff but i've been told because it's a four-rotor it'll have a little bit more grunt so a lot of times with a full p you hear cars like idling super super high and it's kind of annoying to start from like a stop light or whatever but i think because it'll have so much grunt with the four rudder it'll be okay this whole setup came with a pan or did i buy this man i might have bought this pan actually separately i think vargas brothers found this one for sale as well and then also i've got the setup so it should pretty much bolt right up into a stock chassis which is pretty exciting i have a clutch to work with the stock trans that came with the kit when i bought it although i don't think i'm going to run a stock trans right now the plan is to use one of my same sonas since i have another one laying around i feel like it'll be a really good lightweight kind of suit for this my direction with the build is kind of more so on the oem plus and it's going to be a hard kind of uh goal to fill because a four rotor is pretty much like a race car engine so um it's going to be difficult to make it quiet it's going to be extremely loud i want to try to put as many mufflers on it as i can i would love to have working ac even though i know i won't have room for it on an accessory and i'll probably have to run like a 12 volt ac compressor um i'll probably end up doing like a 488 in the rear or one of the all ready to go kits but with this car and this swap i'm going to try really hard to resist uh going full overboard and turning into another r34 that takes like six months mike's pretty confident that we can get the swap done pretty quick to wire it up in a day it's gonna need very little fab especially if i'm able to get a header that's all ready to bolt up into the car being n a it's going to be pretty simple and the paint in this engine bay is pretty damn good already so i think i'm going to resist the urge to respray it since the car is originally cym i'll kind of keep it with the oem look try to retain as much stock stuff as i can it kind of sucks to just like ruin this beautifully stocked car but uh at least then i won't be like trying to find little missing things like if i started with a car that was already pulled apart end goal for this car i do really want to repaint the entire car because it is technically already repainted in its own color oh for those of you that aren't familiar with cym it's got a ton of pearl in it you can see it here in this door jamb um when i put a light to it it's got a nice kind of like glisten with the pearl with this car i don't know everyone cheaps out on the pearl i hate it stop doing a job repainting cy mfds it makes me mad but the car is beautiful it's got a beautiful body and i think it'll be cool because we can do the swap not worry about painting it drive it enjoy it and then like phase two will be putting my 99 spec wing on putting skirts on the car and then actually like dialing the paint and getting it beautiful but for now the car looks really nice in its current form and we can just focus on kind of getting the engine and drivetrain together and going from there um i don't want to go into a crazy amount of detail with all the little specifics like the seals and stuff that's going on internally with the four rotor because i'm gonna be 100 transparent i am so new to the rotary world that i would rather just not go into detail and sound like an idiot trying to sound smart and let vargas talk about it when he comes down here so timeline wise for this we're looking to be operational in the new shop as soon as tomorrow although we're all going to be gone for formula drift erie and hopefully as parts start showing up we can start kind of cracking on this thing i'm thinking before i even get into pulling this thing apart i kind of want to just do the chassis first pull out the arms put all new bushings in car's already immaculate underneath and if i can get the rear end set up and i can get all the arms and bushings done then leaving just the drive train i think will be kind of simple if i can somehow turn this into a car that is a reliable street car that makes 500 wheel has four rotor sounds still is stock body like what i'm trying to do is basically create my gt3 rs in an fd like 500 wheel n a high revving sequential trans good brakes with this one i want to keep it like as classic looking as possible no wide fender flares i think i can fit a good enough stock tire on it keep as much interior as possible and hopefully hopefully ac definitely easy yeah if the car doesn't have a cm plane i'm going to drive it i really want to go and visit grant up in connecticut and bring this and make all his neighbors hate him that's kind of one of my goals i need to have some direction with the build so i feel like that's a good direction again this is really cool sitting here uh watching clips of the 787b and four rotor race cars screaming just nerding out on youtube like even last year still seemed like such an unrealistic thing to me so i cannot thank the vargas brothers enough for making this dream come to reality and it's it's still a little ways off and there's still some little odds and ends that we're gonna need it's obviously not done yet and there's quite a bit of work to come but i'm super super excited you guys aren't familiar with the vargas brothers already make sure you check out their channel they're really great people they've come and they've hung out a few times now their cars rip i'm so excited for this and i just want to do it right i don't want to rush it and that's why we've been postponing and postponing and that's why i've been so obsessed with finding the perfect fd for this the ls one my whole plan was to make this video yes i'm removing an ls out of an fd and i'm putting a rotary heart back in it but that obviously didn't happen because it was a really good car and it just didn't make financial sense this car i got a good deal on the body straight it's an original cym car and it's not missing a bunch of stuff so hopefully to achieve my oem plus goal it'll be a lot easier than if i started with just a shell because i was considering that i still who knows might even change my mind if i find a cym shell maybe i'll do that instead because there's just man it's so hard to find a fd that's this clean fenders aren't even rolled dude i'll roll them now i can't wait to paint this car it'll be like the first legit paint job that happens like at the compound i feel like there's so much to cover with this and there's so many little nuances in terms of accessories and how things are going to be run and how things are going to be routed that it will definitely warrant future video rob dom he does a great job at being super super detailed and specific with all the little nuances and details with his engines i've really enjoyed a lot of his content and i'm looking forward to reading the comments and seeing what questions you have regarding the engine regarding the build and regarding kind of our thought process amongst every step that we take so feel free to ask away i'm sure there'll be an update um in the near future where maybe when the vargas brothers are in town we can go into detail and hopefully this thing will be back together before we know it but i want to thank you guys for watching this video um bearing with me and understanding why i've kind of postponed this and postponed this and just wanted to do it right instead of rushing and throwing it together in the wrong car at the wrong time and just kind of losing stuff in the move but i'm super excited it kind of hurts me to share this info with you and not just be thrown in the car right off the rip because i like to kind of ride that excitement but hopefully you can stay excited with me to know that this thing's gonna be screaming before we know it thank you guys for watching this video i hope you had a great seventh day i'll see you soon oh my godgood morning guys welcome to the video i got a little bit of a compound update for you uh not necessarily the out with me and convinced me that it was actually much more feasible than i anticipated i was only exposed to all the billet four rotor stuff with billet housings and all this expensive stuff from down under and well he showed me there was a four rotor that was basically just parts laying around and i want to say georgia and we were able to get it for a phenomenal deal now this engine has actually been done for i want to say four or five months now which is kind of insane it's just been sitting on a stand ready to go but i haven't wanted to kind of reveal it or talk about it because i knew it was going to be a while before we had time to work on it and i didn't want to be like yo this is what i'm doing i wanted to just do it unfortunately that's what i'm doing right now but i want to walk you guys through so you can be as excited as i have been and figure out why i've been going crazy about trying to find the perfect rx-7 and my thought process behind it all so i am not a rotary expert by any means i'm excited to learn more and be able to kind of educate you guys as i learn along the process i wish colette was here because she knows probably three times as much as i do and she'd probably help me explain more without sounding like an idiot but i will say my goal is not to overpower the chassis right as cool as a turbo four rotor would sound and would feel i think anything more than like 500 horsepower in an fd will basically be unusable on the street unless i go with some crazy wide body drag racing setup which is not what i want to do so with that being said this is going to be an na4 rotor it's going to make it a lot simpler on the build process and it's going to make it a lot less overpowered for the chassis so with that being said you can see we have stock housings vargas already had them all powder coated i wanted to go with a very oem look that's why it's kind of just like silver and black nothing out of this world or flashy it's utilizing rx-8 rotors and what that does is it ups the compression since we're n a we don't have to really worry as much about detonation let's just make a little bit more power the rx8 rivers in here also individually side clearance and balanced and to my understanding that's supposed to reduce rotor to plate contact so it'll be happier at higher rpm vargas also let me know that i guess typically a lot of these rotaries are balanced within like 30 grams this is balanced within a gram the entire rotating assembly which i think i even have footage of that we can put on the video here boom see this one can't see that there you go perfect all under a gram point two on both sides which is like nothing you can drop a hair on that bridge it'll throw it off right now but so the assembly is balanced rotors are machined the housings are you know they're done peripheral port mike already did uh the custom inserts on it so we can put out the wings clamps you know the flexible uh with the o-rings so the next step is uh building the engine so let's get to it he's telling me that we could reliably rev this thing to 11 000 rpm i'm gonna tell you guys if i can if i can hit the 10 000 rpm mark i'm gonna be stoked that's been like a bucket list goal is to have a car that revs into the five digits i just double checked to make sure that i was running a number of digits but um i think we'll end up somewhere around the 500 horsepower range maybe a little under maybe a little bit over uh it will probably run on ethanol i might run it on pump gas i don't know i'm scared with ethanol that it's going to use way too much fuel um this thing is going to be a bad but it's going to sound great if you notice over here it is a full peripheral port it's actually machine two to accept an hd clamp so when we get our itv set up that it's on the way we'll just weld some pipes to these and then we'll just have one v-band per housing which is kind of neat i'm a little bit worried with a full p that it might uh be a little bit hard to idle i know that's like kind of an issue with some of the 13b stuff and even the three-rotor stuff but i've been told because it's a four-rotor it'll have a little bit more grunt so a lot of times with a full p you hear cars like idling super super high and it's kind of annoying to start from like a stop light or whatever but i think because it'll have so much grunt with the four rudder it'll be okay this whole setup came with a pan or did i buy this man i might have bought this pan actually separately i think vargas brothers found this one for sale as well and then also i've got the setup so it should pretty much bolt right up into a stock chassis which is pretty exciting i have a clutch to work with the stock trans that came with the kit when i bought it although i don't think i'm going to run a stock trans right now the plan is to use one of my same sonas since i have another one laying around i feel like it'll be a really good lightweight kind of suit for this my direction with the build is kind of more so on the oem plus and it's going to be a hard kind of uh goal to fill because a four rotor is pretty much like a race car engine so um it's going to be difficult to make it quiet it's going to be extremely loud i want to try to put as many mufflers on it as i can i would love to have working ac even though i know i won't have room for it on an accessory and i'll probably have to run like a 12 volt ac compressor um i'll probably end up doing like a 488 in the rear or one of the all ready to go kits but with this car and this swap i'm going to try really hard to resist uh going full overboard and turning into another r34 that takes like six months mike's pretty confident that we can get the swap done pretty quick to wire it up in a day it's gonna need very little fab especially if i'm able to get a header that's all ready to bolt up into the car being n a it's going to be pretty simple and the paint in this engine bay is pretty damn good already so i think i'm going to resist the urge to respray it since the car is originally cym i'll kind of keep it with the oem look try to retain as much stock stuff as i can it kind of sucks to just like ruin this beautifully stocked car but uh at least then i won't be like trying to find little missing things like if i started with a car that was already pulled apart end goal for this car i do really want to repaint the entire car because it is technically already repainted in its own color oh for those of you that aren't familiar with cym it's got a ton of pearl in it you can see it here in this door jamb um when i put a light to it it's got a nice kind of like glisten with the pearl with this car i don't know everyone cheaps out on the pearl i hate it stop doing a job repainting cy mfds it makes me mad but the car is beautiful it's got a beautiful body and i think it'll be cool because we can do the swap not worry about painting it drive it enjoy it and then like phase two will be putting my 99 spec wing on putting skirts on the car and then actually like dialing the paint and getting it beautiful but for now the car looks really nice in its current form and we can just focus on kind of getting the engine and drivetrain together and going from there um i don't want to go into a crazy amount of detail with all the little specifics like the seals and stuff that's going on internally with the four rotor because i'm gonna be 100 transparent i am so new to the rotary world that i would rather just not go into detail and sound like an idiot trying to sound smart and let vargas talk about it when he comes down here so timeline wise for this we're looking to be operational in the new shop as soon as tomorrow although we're all going to be gone for formula drift erie and hopefully as parts start showing up we can start kind of cracking on this thing i'm thinking before i even get into pulling this thing apart i kind of want to just do the chassis first pull out the arms put all new bushings in car's already immaculate underneath and if i can get the rear end set up and i can get all the arms and bushings done then leaving just the drive train i think will be kind of simple if i can somehow turn this into a car that is a reliable street car that makes 500 wheel has four rotor sounds still is stock body like what i'm trying to do is basically create my gt3 rs in an fd like 500 wheel n a high revving sequential trans good brakes with this one i want to keep it like as classic looking as possible no wide fender flares i think i can fit a good enough stock tire on it keep as much interior as possible and hopefully hopefully ac definitely easy yeah if the car doesn't have a cm plane i'm going to drive it i really want to go and visit grant up in connecticut and bring this and make all his neighbors hate him that's kind of one of my goals i need to have some direction with the build so i feel like that's a good direction again this is really cool sitting here uh watching clips of the 787b and four rotor race cars screaming just nerding out on youtube like even last year still seemed like such an unrealistic thing to me so i cannot thank the vargas brothers enough for making this dream come to reality and it's it's still a little ways off and there's still some little odds and ends that we're gonna need it's obviously not done yet and there's quite a bit of work to come but i'm super super excited you guys aren't familiar with the vargas brothers already make sure you check out their channel they're really great people they've come and they've hung out a few times now their cars rip i'm so excited for this and i just want to do it right i don't want to rush it and that's why we've been postponing and postponing and that's why i've been so obsessed with finding the perfect fd for this the ls one my whole plan was to make this video yes i'm removing an ls out of an fd and i'm putting a rotary heart back in it but that obviously didn't happen because it was a really good car and it just didn't make financial sense this car i got a good deal on the body straight it's an original cym car and it's not missing a bunch of stuff so hopefully to achieve my oem plus goal it'll be a lot easier than if i started with just a shell because i was considering that i still who knows might even change my mind if i find a cym shell maybe i'll do that instead because there's just man it's so hard to find a fd that's this clean fenders aren't even rolled dude i'll roll them now i can't wait to paint this car it'll be like the first legit paint job that happens like at the compound i feel like there's so much to cover with this and there's so many little nuances in terms of accessories and how things are going to be run and how things are going to be routed that it will definitely warrant future video rob dom he does a great job at being super super detailed and specific with all the little nuances and details with his engines i've really enjoyed a lot of his content and i'm looking forward to reading the comments and seeing what questions you have regarding the engine regarding the build and regarding kind of our thought process amongst every step that we take so feel free to ask away i'm sure there'll be an update um in the near future where maybe when the vargas brothers are in town we can go into detail and hopefully this thing will be back together before we know it but i want to thank you guys for watching this video um bearing with me and understanding why i've kind of postponed this and postponed this and just wanted to do it right instead of rushing and throwing it together in the wrong car at the wrong time and just kind of losing stuff in the move but i'm super excited it kind of hurts me to share this info with you and not just be thrown in the car right off the rip because i like to kind of ride that excitement but hopefully you can stay excited with me to know that this thing's gonna be screaming before we know it thank you guys for watching this video i hope you had a great seventh day i'll see you soon oh my god\n"
