"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is Ranji then I have this lumia 950xl with me which comes pre-loaded with Windows 10 mobile and let me actually show you some of the new features and the first thing is that a Windows 10 has support for Windows hello again this will not work with every phone out there because it needs some special hardware which this 950 and the 950 XL have they have the iris sensor which is nothing but our infrared camera over here and you don't have to enter your pin and stuff you just have to look at your phone and it should work for example have enabled it and I have to just look at it and you actually have to move look very closely and it couldn't recognize here so it happens some time like that it's in beta as of now and as you can see it unlocked in fact I also have the surface pro 4 and this window hello features work a lot better on that and again it's sort of beat up and but you have to look at the device for about 2 or seconds another thing you'll notice is that the background now is sort of transparent so you can easily add a background and you can have a look at it so it looks really cool that's again new and to enable that you just go to the settings and here in personalization if you go to the Start menu here you can change your wallpaper and stuff and you can also adjust the tile transparency for example let's make it very transparent and let's go back and now as you can see you can easily see the background but let's say you don't want that you can just reduce it just keep it at about 30% and that way it's not that transparent so you can easily customize that another thing that I have noticed is that now we have the new browser that is known as Microsoft edge with Windows Phone 10 and overall I would say it's very similar to the earlier browser it's fast as of now I didn't notice anything one feature that Microsoft has touted is that it has the reading mode I noticed that it has that reading mode as you can see this is one of the Microsoft's own pages and you see this reading mode and if you just tap that you get this layout which is easy to use but I've noticed that this does not work on many of the web pages only a few web pages work with this reading mode but one new thing that I like is now we have this new keypad and if you notice this small dot over here which acts like it what do you say cursor if you just press here you can move around so it's very easy to use you can use this when you have a lot of text and precisely move so that's a new tech that I've noticed and that works actually very well in my opinion another big improvement of Windows 10 banks is Windows continuum actually you need some special hardware to make it work and again it works only with a few devices as of now as of now I believe the 950xl the 950 supports Windows continuum you can use the special hardware to make it work but technically speaking it should also work wirelessly without this special hardware using a miracast device I didn't test it with the miracast device but I did test it with this display dock and it worked very well in my opinion but again you need to know that it does not work with every app only the new Microsoft Universal apps work with this continuum feature so that's a new thing and I feel that's a differentiating factor iOS and Android does not have a feature like this also when we talk about the notifications the notifications have changed a little bit if you just pull it down again we have the standard layout but you can hit this and expand it so you have lot more or toggles that you can work with so you can collapse it or and we also I think so this was already there you can just swipe away individual notifications if you would like also if you get a text message or something it will just pop over here and you don't even have to go inside that app and directly reply from here so that also works and now as you can see this microsoft lumia 950xl is a very big phone and reaching to the top is a little bit difficult but we just press this start button for a couple of seconds you have this mode and this way you can reach all the if you want to go back you just tap here and you can't go back so that is also one more new thing that I have noticed also now finally Cortana works in India for example what's the weather like and you have to read this what's the weather like so as you can see Cortana works and we have that Indian accent now and finally I've also noticed that the settings again the tile layout is very similar that we have seen apart from the transparency as I mentioned no but now if you go to the settings tab you'll see that the icons are a lot different it's actually very similar to what we find on Windows 10 pcs so todd has also changed another thing that I've noticed that tricking the screenshots is very easy you have to just hit the volume up and the power button to take a screenshot so that is another thing that I have noticed also I have noticed that now Windows 10 devices will have the new camera interface which actually we have seen with what do you say high-end Lumia devices so we do get this manual control with Windows 10 devices so again that's the huge improvement I would say and technically they should also be available on what you say affordable Lumia devices so you get this full manual control with the camera so these were some of the new features that I have noticed with Windows 10 mobile again I am still testing this lumia 950xl so if you guys want that I do a in-depth look at some specific features do
