I'm Not 100% Sure About Upcoming Projects and I'm Still Working on a Shell for a Custom Order
I haven't been entirely sure about some upcoming projects, but I do know that I'll have to start working on them soon. One of those projects is a shell for a custom order, which is a snail with a blue color scheme. The good news is that the first half of the shell has already been attached, and all that's left to do is attach the second half and work on the body. Once that's complete, I'll have to sew it all together.
In addition to this project, I've also started working on a custom order for another customer. The design is similar to the one I mentioned earlier, but with some changes to make it unique. While it's still in progress, I'm excited about how it's turning out and hope that it will be finished soon.
On the other hand, I have made several items recently, including a dragon that I'm absolutely obsessed with. The dragon is not only adorable, but also has intricate details such as sparkly eyes and rainbow-colored wings. I'm so happy with how it turned out that I'm already planning to make more of them in the future.
The Dragon Video
As you can see from my screen, I've been working on this video for a while now, and I'm excited to finally finish editing it. The goal is to show all of these items, including the ones I mentioned earlier, as well as some new ones that I'll be listing soon on Etsy. Since it's lunchtime now, I'll try to post everything there instead.
The Items Listed
Speaking of which, let me show you what I've been working on lately. First up is a whale shark, which was made for Shark Week. While the color didn't turn out perfectly due to some issues with my tension or perhaps using yarn over and under differently than the designer intended, it's still an adorable piece that I'm happy with. The other side turned out just fine, so I'll be offering this one at a discounted price.
Next is a blue shark with sparkly eyes, which was my first attempt at making a shark. It turned out well, and I'm not sure why I didn't make more of them in the future, but I do enjoy it nonetheless. Then there's a giraffe that looks like Humpty Dumpty, which is indeed adorable despite its short neck.
I also made a sloth that resembles an egg blob with a perfect sitting position for bookshelves. It was fun to work on this one because it allowed me to experiment with different yarns and techniques.
Moving on, I started following a pattern for a koala but ended up going my own way instead. While it might not have been the most traditional design, I'm happy with how it turned out and can't wait to make more of them in the future.
The Koala Pattern
I think what makes this koala design so special is that the yarn has a fuzzy texture that adds an extra layer of depth to the piece. The overall shape of the koala is cute, but I'm most drawn to its expressive face and the way it seems to be looking at you.
Next up is a puffer fish, which turned out to be quick and fun to make. With intricate details such as sparkly eyes, this one is an absolute favorite of mine. The combination of colors and textures really brings the piece together.
Then there's an elephant with fuzzy yarn that I think adds a nice touch. It's not always easy working with different fibers and techniques, but when it all comes together, the result is something truly special.
Last but certainly not least is this adorable cat, which bears a striking resemblance to my real-life cat Ella at home. The color choices were intentional, as I wanted to capture her spirit in this piece.
And That's All for Today
Well, that concludes today's video and article. As you can see, it was all over the place, but that's kind of what life has been like lately for me. Despite not being entirely sure about some projects or having a few issues along the way, I'm happy to have had this chance to share everything with you.
I hope this gave you an idea of where I've been and what's been going on in my world. If you're still watching after all this, thank you for that!
