Roccat Tyon Gaming Mouse Review

**Rocket's Tition Mouse Review: A Comprehensive Look at Its Features and Performance**

I recently had the opportunity to test out Rocket's Tition mouse, a high-end gaming peripheral that promises to deliver exceptional performance and customization options. My experience with the Tition was overwhelmingly positive, and I'm excited to share my thoughts on its features, design, and overall value.

The first thing that struck me about the Tition was its impressive feature set. The mouse boasts a wide range of customizable buttons, including a two-way dorsal fin switch that can be controlled using the thumb's knuckle. While I found myself not getting much use out of this feature, I appreciated the thought and effort that went into designing it. Other notable features include an accelerator button, which is particularly useful for gamers who frequently switch between different actions or functions.

The Tition also comes equipped with a robust software package that allows users to fine-tune their mouse settings to suit their preferences. The software updates automatically, ensuring that the mouse stays optimized and performing at its best. One of my favorite features of the software is the ability to reassign buttons with a visual layout, which makes it easy to customize the mouse's functionality.

In addition to its impressive feature set, the Tition also boasts an attractive design. The mouse has a sleek, futuristic aesthetic that looks great on any desk or gaming setup. I particularly appreciated the use of RGB LED lights, which can be customized to produce a wide range of colors and effects. From simple solid colors to more complex animations like breathing or heartbeat patterns, the lighting options are virtually endless.

**Software Features**

The Tition's software package is where things really shine. The intuitive interface makes it easy to navigate and customize the mouse's settings. At the top level, users can access five main tabs: Basics, which includes sensitivity DPI settings and scroll speed; Visual Layout, which allows for reassignment of buttons; Advanced Controls, which unlocks a range of advanced features like the rocket announcer; Analytics, which provides detailed statistics on usage patterns and performance; and Updates and Support, which keeps the software up-to-date and addresses any bugs or issues.

One feature that I found particularly useful was the ability to modify each effect's speed. This adds an extra layer of customization to the lighting options, allowing users to fine-tune their settings to suit their preferences. For example, I enjoyed using the breathing effect on my scroll wheel, but found that it could be a bit too slow at times. By adjusting the speed, I was able to find a balance that worked for me.

**Color Control and Customization**

The Tition's color control system is one of its most impressive features. The mouse boasts 16 single-color presets, as well as a range of effects like breathing, heartbeat, and color flow. These effects can be applied to individual LEDs or both together, creating a wide range of customization options. I was particularly fond of the "breathing" effect, which creates a mesmerizing pattern that's perfect for gaming sessions.

**Cons and Limitations**

While the Tition is an exceptional mouse in many ways, there are a few areas where it falls short. One notable con is the fin switch at the top of the mouse, which I found was difficult to use consistently. The need to lift my finger off the left or right button made it harder to hit the fin switch with precision, and I often found myself missing shots as a result.

Another limitation I encountered was the lack of a weight system in the Tition's design. While this wasn't a major issue for me personally, some users may prefer to customize their mouse's weight distribution, which would be useful for achieving that smooth gliding feel they're looking for.

**Conclusion**

Overall, my experience with the Rocket's Tition mouse was overwhelmingly positive. Its impressive feature set, robust software package, and attractive design make it an excellent choice for gamers and power users alike. While there are a few areas where the Tition falls short – particularly when it comes to the fin switch – these limitations do not detract from its overall value.

If you're in the market for a high-end gaming mouse with exceptional customization options, I would highly recommend checking out the Rocket's Tition. Its performance and features make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to take their gaming experience to the next level.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enexcellent what's up guys and welcome to Paul's Hardware today I'm going to be doing a gaming mouse review I haven't done one of those in a while I'll take a closer look at the new rocket tition which features some impressive specs and very cool LED lighting but I will begin with the hard data this is a laser mouse with an up to 800 DPI or CPI rather Pro aim R3 sensor up to 1,000 HZ pulling rate and 1 millisecond response time down here you've also got some nice big Teflon pads and somewhere in the housing there's a 32bit 72 MHz turbo core V2 processor with 576 KOB of onboard memory meaning that all your profiles and settings get saved directly to the mouse so you can take them with you the tion's body is midsized and has a nice durable dry touch finish that I really like actually I much prefer it to glossy finishes in particular that can make your hand feel sweaty or soft touch finishes that tend to wear off quickly I have something between a claw grip and a palm grip and I found the mouse to be very comfortable even after extended use there's a nice long 1.8 m braided cable and then the most standout features of the mouse which are the extra buttons and the LED lights for buttons apart from standard left and right click and a sturdy feeling scroll wheel there are four extra buttons accessible with your index and middle fingers two on each side these default to DPI and profile switching but like all of the buttons they can be reassigned via rocket software you also have forward and back above the thumb rest and another button below the thumb that's set up to trigger easy shift by holding down you can access a secondary command for every button on the mouse which is pretty handy above the forward back buttons is the accelerator analog thumb padle rocket is targeting this for use in games like Battlefield 4 or flight Sims where you'll be in vehicles or aircraft where it can be used to control pitch or tilt or elevation for example there's also a two-way dorsal fin switch on top of the mouse beneath the scroll wheel that you're supposed to control with your knuckle but honestly I had a harder time with that one Rocket's software package for the tition is pretty polished it will update the mouse mous is firmware for you and it does all the other things you would want it to do at the bottom you can always see your five profiles and their Associated colors tab one has Basics like sensitivity DPI settings and scroll speed tab two lets you reassign all the buttons with a visual layout of the mouse and a couple views tab three is Advanced controls this is where you can turn on the awesome rocket announcer guy who tells you cool things like how epic your DPI settings are as you change them 800 DPI 3,200 DPI 8,200 DPI tab five is your analytics page which tells you stats like how many clicks or Scrolls or other actions you've done with your tition and sometimes it will award your trophy for doing things too which is kind of fun tab six is updates and support and I know I skipped Tab four we're going to come back to that which is color control and that's cuz I want to do a demo the tion has RGB y LEDs red green blue yellow the fourth y one means that you can produce very distinct yellows so you can choose the full ring light on the scroll wheel or the edge lighting along the bottom of the mouse and set them to any color individually or you can choose to change them both together there's several effects and I think the most popular one's probably going to be breathing effect but I also really liked doing the heartbeat effect in red that that looks pretty cool the color flow effect will cycle through the 16 single color presets and you can have it change both LEDs together or flow from top to bottom or vice versa you can also modify each effects speed which I thought was a really nice touch so to summarize my review I would have to say I am very happy with the rocket tiean over the past week or so that I have used it uh it's served me very well it works great for both gaming as well as day-to-day Computing tasks and I could definitely recommend it to any of you out there who are looking for a brand new gaming mouse especially if you like the LED features cuz there's an insane amount of customization here and it looks really really cool uh but functionally uh let's start off with the cons uh the things I didn't like quite as much uh the fin switch at the top unfortunately I just found I didn't get much use out of it mainly because in order to hit that with my knuckle I found that I had to essentially lift my finger up off of the left and right buttons which kind of removes some of the functionality of that everything else functionally on the mouse though I did find myself using at least from time to time and I found that very useful uh in particular the accelerator button over here I imagine if you did more flight Sims that would be extremely helpful for you but even with my limited use of those uh I still really enjoyed that the only other feature that I would have liked to have seen is possibly a weight system integrated here for a mouse at this price point uh it would be nice to be able to customize weight fortunately for me I was happy with the weight it's just a little bit heavier than say a razor Death Adder for example um so that wasn't a problem but I know some folks like to uh set up like a much heavier Mouse feel uh to get that smooth kind of gliding feeling uh and that would have been nice to have as well other than that though uh I really like the finish on the mouse I really like the sturdiness of it it feels extremely well built uh it Glides really easily uh the extra buttons they put up here and here on either side of the left and right button are easy to hit uh the software is is very well well made and you can pretty much program the crap out of this mouse if you like uh I even found myself using the easy easy shift button not just for games but actually for basic Windows functionality believe it or not so the tition gets my recommendation but I'd love to hear what you guys think leave me a comment down in the comment section let me know uh what what do you like better do you like the gray finish like this one gray or black I kind of like this one better than the white honestly but I thought they did a good job with the white too so let me know which one you like better don't forget to leave me a thumbs up down there as well of course if you like this video and we'll see you all very very soonexcellent
