RUSH TO THE RING! My Ford GT Challenge to Reach the Nurburgring

**A Day at the Nurburgring with the Ford GT**

It's been an incredible day here at the Nurburgring, one that I'll never forget anytime soon. The sun was shining bright as we arrived on track, and the atmosphere was electric. The Ford GT, in all its glory, was ready to take on the infamous circuit, and I couldn't wait to see what it had in store.

As we made our way onto the track, the sounds of revving engines and screeching tires filled the air. It's always exhilarating to be back at one of my favorite racing circuits, and the Ford GT was more than up to the task. We spent a few moments getting familiar with the car's capabilities, taking it for a spin around the track in track mode.

The line we were able to find was incredibly smooth, with the car seemingly glued to the road. It was a testament to the incredible handling of the GT, which is no surprise given its incredible performance credentials. But what really stood out was the level of control and precision that the car offered, even at high speed. We were able to shave precious seconds off our lap times, thanks in large part to the car's exceptional dynamics.

One of the highlights of the day came when we had a chance to drive the GT with Misha in his Ring Tractor. This was a fun and unique experience, allowing us to get up close and personal with the car while also getting a taste of what it's like to drive something truly special. We ended up doing a quick run on the Nurburgring circuit, and I was impressed by how well the GT performed in this unusual setup.

Of course, no day at the Nurburgring would be complete without a few mishaps. Unfortunately, we had a bit of a scrape with some brake cooling ducts, which were damaged as a result of our high-speed antics. But that's just part of the deal when you're pushing a car to its limits, and it was a small price to pay for the incredible experience we had.

As the day drew to a close, we took a break to enjoy some lunch and recharge for the final leg of our journey. The Ford GT was parked up in a secure garage, waiting patiently for us to return to it later in the evening. It's always impressive to see just how comfortable and spacious this car is, especially when you're carrying luggage.

We spent the afternoon driving back to Frankfurt, taking in the sights and sounds of the German countryside as we went. The Autobahn was our destination, and we were eager to get back on the move once again. As we drove, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement for what was to come next. The Ford GT is never far from my thoughts, and I know that this car has many more adventures still in store for me.

The night is falling now, and we're making our way back home. It's been an incredible day, one that I'll always treasure. And as I look out at the stars twinkling above, I can barely contain my excitement for what tomorrow will bring. The Ford GT has been a great companion on this journey so far, and I know that it will continue to be by my side for many more adventures in the future.

**A Look Back at the Day's Events**

I left London with the Ford GT about 15 hours ago, and since then, we've traveled all the way through to the Nurburgring. It was an incredible journey, one that took us from the streets of London to the iconic German racing circuit. We managed to squeeze in a lap on the track, which was a real highlight of the day.

As I look back on our journey so far, I'm struck by just how much we've accomplished. The Ford GT has been an incredible partner throughout this adventure, and I'm grateful for every moment we've spent together. From the excitement of arrival at the Nurburgring to the calm tranquility of the evening drive back to Frankfurt, it's been a truly unforgettable experience.

I have to say, though, that I'm feeling rather exhausted right now. The last 15 hours on the road have taken their toll, and I know that I'll need some serious rest before we can tackle tomorrow's adventures. But even in my tired state, I couldn't help but feel grateful for this incredible experience. The Ford GT has been a dream car of mine for many years, and to finally be driving it on the Nurburgring circuit was truly a highlight.

**The Top Speed Question**

One question that's always on my mind when I'm behind the wheel of the Ford GT is its top speed. What can this incredible car do? How fast can we go before the speed limiter kicks in? And what's the limit itself?

I've done some research, but to be honest, I don't know for certain. But I do have a feeling that the top speed of this car will be nothing short of astonishing. The GT is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine, which produces an incredible 647 horsepower. With that kind of power on tap, I expect we'll be able to push the car hard.

Of course, there's always the risk of damaging the car or pushing it too far. But when you're driving a machine like the Ford GT, that's all part of the fun. The excitement of not knowing what's going to happen next is what makes this experience so thrilling.

As I look back on our journey so far, I know that tomorrow will bring even more challenges and opportunities. And with the Ford GT by my side, I'm ready for whatever comes next.

**The Future of the Ford GT**

One thing is certain: the Ford GT is a car that's here to stay. Its incredible performance credentials, stunning design, and commitment to innovation have made it an instant classic. Whether we're pushing this car to its limits on the Nurburgring circuit or simply enjoying a relaxing drive through the countryside, I know that the GT will always be by my side.

And as for what's next? Well, I'm not entirely sure. But one thing is certain: I'll be back with the Ford GT again soon. Whether we're racing on the track or just enjoying a leisurely drive, this car has become an integral part of my life. And I couldn't imagine exploring the world without it by my side.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi guys I'm shmee hello and welcome back to the channel where you join me here in London where I've been only for a matter of minutes but it is time to get straight back on the road to date with before GT to head back over to Germany today to the Nurburgring I've never gone from London to the Nurburgring and managed to do a lap on the same day that is the challenge for today the GT has even never really gone on a full road trip I know it went all the way around America but I never took it from one place to another thanks to well a lack of luggage space and wanting to take a passenger today I've got some luggage but I'm driving solo no problems there but before I go anywhere we need to see if we've got any life back in the Ferrari GT C4 lusso because well it did have a flat battery and we've been using something that might have helped save the day a lot to do then a long journey ahead about 500 miles from London to the euro tunnel to the Nurburgring to my home in Frankfurt in the Ford GT with a Lap of the ring on the way foreign approaching the problem that I've got here to fit all of this luggage into the passenger seat of the GT which does not exactly have the most spacious cabin in the world this car is far from ideal for road tripping the first thing to work out is what is going on with the Ferrari GTC for lasso now I just got back with the AMG GTR Pro having been away for about seven weeks in that time the switch had flipped the fuse had gone which meant that the battery conditioner hadn't been doing its thing and this car was completely Stone dead there was no life out of it at all well thanks to the guys at a nearby storage wind rush they lent me this ctec charger which can recondition the battery as soon as we had it plugged in where it starts pulsing power back into it the car started coming to life things like the alarm coming on the interior lights the headlights and I'm hoping in a moment this might come back into life the first tester of this is and that's a very good start so let me come round then um I'm gonna try and tell turn this on I have absolutely no idea what is going to happen obviously we're hearing the normal sounds the interior lights are on I was a little bit worried about it but this charger well it does kind of Wonders ignition on that's always good oh we've got the radio we'll turn that off for the moment obviously the engine bay is open at the moment breaking attempted that would be me but let's um let's give this a go no way and obviously did not expect that to come straight into life that is brilliant oh that's that old I thought the car might be toast that might need a new battery I am very very pleased to like this those are the covers that go back on in here back over there okay it's good relax I'm leaving this running as long as I possibly can but I do need to get on the road in a moment but loading up the GT hasn't been as much of a problem as I thought the only thing still to go in is the new Squad bag which you can find in the schmee 150 shop but inside here making sure that I can still see out hasn't been too bad overall delicately doing this both cars have paint protection film so no problems gently doing that and inside here I will be able to see just fine out of the door mirror and all all is good except if I need to take a passenger because the storage back here where I need to put the trickle charger in a moment is monumentally small as you might remember yeah one one bag with a few drying towels that is it nothing else is going in there well plus the trickle charger so I'll get this unplugged as well for the GT just pull it out from the front pop that away and then I guess turn this off hop on board get this started and go the lusso is still running but let's get this started up as well so I can drive it Forward take it off the tire cushions for the moment now this car needs its legs stretched it hasn't done much more driving since it came back from the USA because of this trip that I had planned in April but let's bring it into life and then go it is a beautiful sunny weekend morning here in London although the driving at 20 miles an hour is not the most exciting in the world we will however head later on towards the autobahns which will be fun to get this car back there as well as the Nurburgring but between now and then are about 400 miles or so of driving to the euro tunnel across to France Belgium maybe the Netherlands I'm not sure on my route today and then into Germany I'm coming out on a bit of a sightseeing tour here over towards the city of London which in a left-hand drive car that is very wide that's a little bit uncomfortable As It Gets A Touch narrower but this will be much brought home not as nice 488 GTB going the other way and I've just realized that for the first time actually the three left-hand Drive Shmi mobiles will all be in left-hand Drive Germany the Ford GT the SLS Black Series and the BMW N8 they'll all be in Germany and all the right hand drive cars are in the UK that's not normally the case they normally have things all over the shop anyway it's about what an hour and a half uh empty no traffic drive down towards the Euro tunnel train then a crossing and then over to the continent as hoped this has been a very uneventful Journey but arriving now at the Euro tunnel it is looking incredibly busy isn't going to vote well for getting a quick train I do have the Plexi plus so I can board the first one but there might be a queue of border control passport check that kind of thing and if so that might add some pressure to get the tourist and farted at the Nurburgring before it closes for the day now I don't really know it's going to be quite a fine line so stick with me here and we'll see when I get through to the continent and ultimately to the Nurburgring here we go then back aboard a Euro tunnel train we've actually just gone underneath the tunnel so we're under the English Channel at the moment heading towards France now this one arrives on the French side at 10 minutes past one the Nurburgring opens at six until seven today which means I have got 4 hours and 50 minutes to get there for the start of the session it takes 5 hours and 10 but this car as you might remember has a little problem with consuming a lot of fuel and having a very tiny tank so I'm probably gonna have to do about three fuel stops because I need to go onto the ring with a full tank or that's trouble uh let's see if I'm gonna be able to do this I think I think the charts is a decent but I'm not sure so far all very plain sailing and now going into the third country of the day from England now into Belgium so it will be a very gentle Cruise in fact completely just cruise control basically the entire way across Belgium today and then uh I think at the moment Android auto connecting at the moment the moments like this is gonna work out what do I always say about driving through Belgium it is either raining or traffic or both today it is lovely weather but unfortunately we do have quite the traffic jam I've got an RS3 just in front of me right now very nice um yes this this is uh definitely making me a little bit anxious phone camera out the window a little bit anxious about whether things are going to work out today or not let's see it's gonna be very close I think I think though I can get away with a fill up now and one more just kind of before arrival I know when I get to the German Autobahn the fuel is going to go much quicker though it's out and looks across the border Joe Barnes I've been having a super Cruise bits and this card at 233 miles on the last tank 370 which normally wouldn't be very much but robot GT it's actually quite a lot anyway here we go so into sport mode into manual first I've actually because I'm not going to try and be economical there we are we can go straight up car gets a lot noisier certainly not when I'm looking at the traffic up ahead and this car is gonna really really pretty dashboard system showing Growler now that kind of makes sense for an American car in the US they want any thinking there's a UK car at how many miles Germany though okay I need to get into the swing of things a little bit I'm not just gonna go full so much down yes it's really it's really so so fun when you then get back to the dearest director and drop some gears and then put down all the way down down most ly right down down breaks everybody goes up behind and you can't see anything only got an AMG Mercedes of some description behind me 50 . thumbs up enjoyed driving one of those dries really well for obviously such a raised up platform arrived here at Apex where I was not very long ago and parked alongside the team orange Murcielago SB which I remember taking part in the Gumball 3000 2012 from New York to Los Angeles that was my first rally but also back with the man Misha how you doing good how are you I'm very good this was a good drive and I'm itching to go out on the track because I'm here on time yeah me too I mean the power guys have been the good that we went out together for a lap too long exactly that's the answer so yes too long is the answer and now we're doing the Ford GT have you remind me did you come in this before uh I I'm surely I'm sure we did yes definitely in real time when the Santa was here as well yes well in a second the ring will be open and we will go for a drive on tourist and fun but first some weight reduction yes we did yes yes Breakaway reduction and and passenger space uh assistance um we'll take all of this out of the car and then it will be time to go it is incredibly busy today we've been in a bit of a queue down towards the entrance of tourist and farton but looking forward to getting out in a moment tourist from farting tourist drives public road rules overtaking on the left some sections you need to slow down usual road rules apply on the number going north shifer I'm a little bit like nervous this is the Ford GT it's not gonna be like taking the GTR Pro around uh when I went out the AMG GT3 I did some pretty quick laps if I say so myself this might be slightly more docile maybe we'll get Full Throttle on it for sure at some points but uh right carefully does this with the window down you know what usually happens when people say like oh it's going to be an easy lap and then they end up yeah I know I know I'll do my best to not go too crazy thank you thank you okay your German is getting well do you know what I haven't done though that we need to do quickly what Park track mode confirm drop the car go just like that I've got that down quite a quick process ESC into Track Performance we are in manual no we're not yet Emmanuel now we're in manual when you put it back into track mode you have to do manual again it's such a complicated car from just allowed but you know the suspension is really clever so it's worth it okay all right let's get ready and go foreign laughs did you have the crack of which exhaust last year nope that was completed when I was in the USA so I love it so much more I mean you have been around here in a uh in a Ford GT yes that one had Hennessy exhaust or something it was also some aftermarket one well this is the factory exhaust this is the Sports titanium exhaust don't have a nice picture of it I gotta get used to being left-hand driver again my last few hours quite a difference to the feel that's why you clip the curve yeah further having gone around in the GTP the cars and experienced what they can do there's always a little temptation to try and copy but then it's like no can't do that and we'll take it a little bit more easily good for energy yes it sounded so good yeah and at least it's the other side like oh it sounds like an owl and it actually does so that could be a lion then funny because it doesn't necessarily feel crazy fast until you come up to other people yeah it's like oh wait maybe we are going for around inside off the line foreign foreign yeah I don't have to say anything you just know just know we know where the break points are you know which attract is fantastic good and we're having a fast enjoyable safe map I have a nice Carousel picture a little bit of a scrape there and again no problems it's a souvenir that's how I look at it nice because now nobody will be able to do a time for like oh you having garage please yes nope all right the weapon man challenge the challenge to take my foot it's not just the full term s in track mode it's really low yeah very nice line there is off the track very good foreign foreign foreign let's get fun dude it was awesome I mean like you said the primer I think that was like so such a high level today yeah everyone was moving out of the way and it shows that so yeah for sure that it's not dangerous or scary following the lap I brought the car inside to reinflate the tires up ready for the Autobarn to continue but obviously it scraped quite a lot as we were going around one disadvantage of popping in track mode but I was just having a little look and in fact if I turn on the light you can see exactly what was scraping back here it is these the brake cooling ducts it's a plastic part not one of the carbon Parts thankfully but hey it's a sign that the car has been driven and used as intended and doing another lap of the Nurburgring unfortunately not enough time to go out for a second one we did a quick run with Misha in his ring tractor as well over on his channel I think that was probably to our SMR Pista as well video from Robert's Pista only over on his channel too but yes special to be in the GT I know it wasn't the fastest lap I know it wasn't crazy but considering the value and how special it is and how long a day I've had it's not worth taking Chances with these things you had to be safe sensible and have a good time which we did right we're gonna have a bite to eat here before continuing back on to breakfast with the car later on a little bit later on after a bite to eat and now time to get back on the autobahns to continue the drive this has been a very very long day the last hour and a half or two hours or so to get back now the car with the tires re-inflated in fact over inflated up to the pressures that are recommended if you're driving at high speed although I think it's going to be a bit of a cruise now on towards Frankfurt especially given of course night is falling but let's continue let's get this back towards home it is of course very dark here but foreign stable was very very great seeing I'm gonna get rates the brake lights away behind me okay I think that's probably enough fun Journey To be honest if I said that I was exhausted that would very much be an understatement I left London with the GT about 15 hours ago since then driven all the way through to the Nurburgring managed to squeeze in the lap how cool is that actually to go from London to the Nurburgring in Germany and do a lap on the same day and then now the evening drive here to Frankfurt and I realized just a moment ago that now all of the schmee mobiles apart from the center and the gt8 have actually been here to the garage not that I'm going to have this space for much longer of course moving as I've mentioned a few times but this car this has been the first time I've done a drive like this I still need to unload all of the luggage out of it but it is actually quite comfortable for a long distance drive and it is so stable at speed on the Autobarn because it's not massively loud it's also not that tiring sometimes in a car that's really loud like to be fair the SLS Black Series it does get quite droney and the gearing of that car as well is quite short so it makes it a little bit less comfortable to drive it this has a seventh gear that's brilliant for driving it 200 plus 200 kilometers an hour plus obviously today almost 300 now would be very interested to see the top speed of this I think of all of my cars this either this or the Santa claim the top speed it must be like 215 miles per hour or something which is the top of my head about 340 kilometers an hour or something crazy like that maybe there'll be an opportunity to do a V-Max run with the Ford GT at some point today though it's great to have the car out on the road obviously not the trip that I had planned back in April but now out and about for a few more really awesome things starting quite early tomorrow and considering tomorrow starts in about three minutes and I've got a bit of work to do before I go to bed I better make the most of the short rest that I'm going to get before something epic follows right on the heels of this but today though what an epic one with the GT what an adventure yeah good times you can tell I'm tired I'm gonna wrap it up there thank you very much for watching as always guys I appreciate your support an awful lot and I'll see you again very soon cheershi guys I'm shmee hello and welcome back to the channel where you join me here in London where I've been only necessarily feel crazy fast until you come up to other people yeah it's like oh wait maybe we are going for around inside off the line foreign foreign yeah I don't have to say anything you just know just know we know where the break points are you know which attract is fantastic good and we're having a fast enjoyable safe map I have a nice Carousel picture a little bit of a scrape there and again no problems it's a souvenir that's how I look at it nice because now nobody will be able to do a time for like oh you having garage please yes nope all right the weapon man challenge the challenge to take my foot it's not just the full term s in track mode it's really low yeah very nice line there is off the track very good foreign foreign foreign let's get fun dude it was awesome I mean like you said the primer I think that was like so such a high level today yeah everyone was moving out of the way and it shows that so yeah for sure that it's not dangerous or scary following the lap I brought the car inside to reinflate the tires up ready for the Autobarn to continue but obviously it scraped quite a lot as we were going around one disadvantage of popping in track mode but I was just having a little look and in fact if I turn on the light you can see exactly what was scraping back here it is these the brake cooling ducts it's a plastic part not one of the carbon Parts thankfully but hey it's a sign that the car has been driven and used as intended and doing another lap of the Nurburgring unfortunately not enough time to go out for a second one we did a quick run with Misha in his ring tractor as well over on his channel I think that was probably to our SMR Pista as well video from Robert's Pista only over on his channel too but yes special to be in the GT I know it wasn't the fastest lap I know it wasn't crazy but considering the value and how special it is and how long a day I've had it's not worth taking Chances with these things you had to be safe sensible and have a good time which we did right we're gonna have a bite to eat here before continuing back on to breakfast with the car later on a little bit later on after a bite to eat and now time to get back on the autobahns to continue the drive this has been a very very long day the last hour and a half or two hours or so to get back now the car with the tires re-inflated in fact over inflated up to the pressures that are recommended if you're driving at high speed although I think it's going to be a bit of a cruise now on towards Frankfurt especially given of course night is falling but let's continue let's get this back towards home it is of course very dark here but foreign stable was very very great seeing I'm gonna get rates the brake lights away behind me okay I think that's probably enough fun Journey To be honest if I said that I was exhausted that would very much be an understatement I left London with the GT about 15 hours ago since then driven all the way through to the Nurburgring managed to squeeze in the lap how cool is that actually to go from London to the Nurburgring in Germany and do a lap on the same day and then now the evening drive here to Frankfurt and I realized just a moment ago that now all of the schmee mobiles apart from the center and the gt8 have actually been here to the garage not that I'm going to have this space for much longer of course moving as I've mentioned a few times but this car this has been the first time I've done a drive like this I still need to unload all of the luggage out of it but it is actually quite comfortable for a long distance drive and it is so stable at speed on the Autobarn because it's not massively loud it's also not that tiring sometimes in a car that's really loud like to be fair the SLS Black Series it does get quite droney and the gearing of that car as well is quite short so it makes it a little bit less comfortable to drive it this has a seventh gear that's brilliant for driving it 200 plus 200 kilometers an hour plus obviously today almost 300 now would be very interested to see the top speed of this I think of all of my cars this either this or the Santa claim the top speed it must be like 215 miles per hour or something which is the top of my head about 340 kilometers an hour or something crazy like that maybe there'll be an opportunity to do a V-Max run with the Ford GT at some point today though it's great to have the car out on the road obviously not the trip that I had planned back in April but now out and about for a few more really awesome things starting quite early tomorrow and considering tomorrow starts in about three minutes and I've got a bit of work to do before I go to bed I better make the most of the short rest that I'm going to get before something epic follows right on the heels of this but today though what an epic one with the GT what an adventure yeah good times you can tell I'm tired I'm gonna wrap it up there thank you very much for watching as always guys I appreciate your support an awful lot and I'll see you again very soon cheers\n"
