How to Add Swiping Gestures to Switch Between Apps

**Before You Begin: Jailbreaking Your Phone**

Hey guys, this is Dave from the unlocker.net. Before we dive into installing and using the Multi-Tasking Gestures tweak, it's essential to make sure your phone is jailbroken. If you haven't already, click on the link below to follow the procedure and come back to this video for The Tweak.

**Installing the Multi-Tasking Gestures Tweak**

To begin, we'll head over to Cydia and tap search on the bottom right. We're looking for a tweak with one word: "Multi-Tasking Gestures." Tap that when it comes up. Please note that this is a purchased app, and you'll need to pay $1.50 to use it. Tap purchase on the top right, and follow the payment method of your choice (I'm using Google).

Once you've completed the purchasing procedure, tap close on the top right to return to the Multi-Tasking Gestures page. Now, we'll install the tweak by tapping install on the top right and then confirming again on the top right. Let it do its magic, and eventually, you'll see a "Reload Springboard" or "Restart Phone" message at the bottom. Tap that, and let your phone restart.

**Configuring the Multi-Tasking Gestures Tweak**

Now that your phone has restarted, head over to Settings to configure this tweak. Tap Settings and scroll all the way down to Multitasking Gestures. Make sure the "Switch App Gesture" is enabled if you want to switch between open apps or recently opened apps. Additionally, Restricting Apps allows you to choose which apps don't work with the multitasking gesture tweak. For example, you can disable FaceTime by tapping on it.

The Recognition Area section is where you can set whether you want the top half, bottom half, or entire Edge to recognize your motions and gestures. Keep that enabled if you prefer to swipe up to close open apps or switch between apps. If you'd rather have just the swipe-up feature to activate the switcher, you can choose that option as well.

**Customizing the Multi-Tasking Gestures Tweak**

The twist (pun intended) with this tweak is that it features a way to bring up the Control Center in a different way – by moving it to the Notification Center. Tap on that option to show how it works from your home screen. Swiping up will close apps and bring up the app switcher, but be aware that the control center is no longer available.

Another useful feature of this tweak is that you can quickly switch between open apps or recently opened apps within an app by swiping over. It takes a little getting used to, but it's much faster than double-tapping the home button. As you get accustomed to the swipe gesture, you'll realize how much more convenient and efficient it makes switching between apps.
