How Install And Set Up Recalbox On Pc Batocera Linux X86

Setting Up a Retro Game System with a USB Stick

I'm going to put my games on I'm going to plug it into the PC right now after it's plugged in press Start on your controller system settings and storage device it's set to internal I want it set to this one here this is the name of my 32 gigabyte USB stick so I'm going to leave it here scroll down to back and the system's going to reboot when you press ok it's going to set up a folder on our USB stick with our roms folder a BIOS folder some screenshots everything is going to be stored to that USB stick related to your games press ok.

So, I've set up my PC to automatically boot from the USB stick you may have to go back through and find your USB boot menu so you might notice your controller doesn't work any longer you'll just have to hold a and set your controller back up that's because we created a new config file on that USB Drive that's going to hold our roms so just go back through it this is the last time you'll have to do it as long as you're using this USB stick. Now, your USB stick is configured for roms we're going to be moving back to the PC we're going to transfer a bunch of games to that USB stick I'll show you exactly what to put everything.

We'll come back and we'll be able to play our favorite retro games with no trouble at all make sure you shut it down before you pull your USB stick out press Start scroll to quit shutdown system yes so now that we're back at the PC we're going to open up our USB stick here this is the 32 gigabyte USB stick. You'll have a new folder name recall box open it up and inside of here we have bios's cheats extractions kodi music rom saved screenshots and system.

We're going to be focusing on the roms folder open it up and as you might notice there's a lot of systems in here now it really depends on your hardware if you're going to be able to run gamecube we Dreamcast PSP on this particular PC that I've been using it was $30. Now, I cannot run GameCube or Dreamcast due to not having a good graphics card in it. You need to find roms now.

I can't tell you exactly where to get them but if you do search Google for emulator roms whatever system you want you can definitely find them and another great resource is Emu Paradise. Let's go ahead and get some roms on this USB stick I'm just going to find SNES right here this is my USB these are my roms here that I have on my PC I'm just going to transfer some of these over right to my USB stick and the SNES folder.

I will find my n64 folder and put some n64 games in here and while those are transferring I'll also throw some Neo Geo games in here you will need a Neo Geo dot zip bios in the Neo Geo roms folder if I can find it right here. So, let all that transfer when it's done we can plug this USB stick back into our PC boot up Bot to Sarah.

And all the games should be listed. Let's move back over and boot up BatSarah and there you have it I now have 16 SNES games listed here now if you're connected online with the PC you're running boxes they're on you can press Start and go to scraper this will scrape game art and some information for each game.

But in my next video I'm going to show you how to use an application called Universal XML scraper works really good and we can scrape our games right from our USB on our PC it works much faster. We have our NES games and our n64 games so I'll just go into n64 and try I'll do Goldeneye you so this thing only has a 3 gigahertz core 2 duo with 2 gigabytes of RAM and it runs all these emulators from really well if you have an upgraded Bc something a little faster you'll be able to run GameCube.

And we also Dreamcast PSP should work for you I'll be doing a video later on I'm trying to get a video card for this machine here I've already spent $30 on the computer with a monitor keyboard controller and everything so I don't want to spend much more on a video card I'm trying to keep it as cheap as possible.

You can back out by pressing Start and your hotkey whatever key you mapped as your hotkey it'll bring you out. So, I'll be leaving links in the description to the bots to see our website there's a lot of documentation there if you run into any trouble try to find it there first. I'll also leave a link to the recall box website tons of information there also.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey what's going on guys is ETA prime back here again today I'm going to show you how to set up bots so Sarah dot Linux on your PC now this is pretty much recall box on your PC so we'll be able to emulate a lot of different consoles and arcade machines this really depends on your hardware on what you're going to be able to emulate and what you're going to be able to emulate well I did a video last night on a $30.00 PC I bought it runs pretty well if you want to check that video out the link is in the description so let's go ahead and get started now first thing you're going to need are two USB sticks we're going to be running the operating system which is biocera off of one USB stick and we're going to load our games on another USB stick I do it this way just in case something goes wrong in the file system I will still have all of my games transferred to my USB stick and I don't have to reset it let's get right into it so here I have a two gigabyte 2.0 USB stick that's what we're going to be running the operating system from let's go ahead and download it links in the description for this this is bot Oh Sarah dot Linux we're going to scroll on down now what version you get really depends on your CPU so we have a 64-bit version and a 32-bit version I'm going to be getting the 64-bit just download it here this is biocera linux 5.2 it's about 400 megabytes next thing we need to get is at your now this works on any operating system Windows Linux or Mac so no matter what you have you'll be able to flash this USB stick with biocera and get it up and running I'm going to download the Windows version so I have extra installed on my computer and I've also downloaded biocera I'm going to extract it right click extract I'll leave a link to WinRAR so you'll be able to extract this with no trouble at all so here it is we're done extracting its 1.2 gigabytes and it is a disk image file we're going to launch etcher now this is very simple select image we're going to click on this and we're going to navigate to where we downloaded our boxes Sarah mines on my desktop you need to find the disk image file we extracted next thing you need to do is make sure this is your USB Drive you don't want to flash this to anything else just make sure it's set up for your USB and we'll click flash so what this is going to do is flash the image to our USB Drive it's going to verify the filesystem and then we'll be able to boot it up give it a little bit of time to finish it could take a little while alright guys so the flash is complete we now need to boot from our USB Drive all PC manufacturers use a different way to get to the boot menu I'm going to place my USB Drive into my Dell Optiplex 360 here when it's booting up I'm going to hit f12 now that'll bring you to my boot menu your PC might be different so you need to google it find out the manufacturer of your PC and find out how to get into the boot menu once we're in the boot menu we're going to boot from that USB Drive and we should be running Bato Sarah let's move over and I'll show you how this is done on my PC so this is the first boot on the machine as you can see up in the top right hand corner f2 will bring me to my setup f12 will bring me to my boot menu now this is on my Dell machine it's probably different on your machine so you need to research it make sure you know how to get to the boot menu and I'm just going to click USB device here we are we're booted up I have an xbox 360 wired controller plugged into this PC 1 gamepad detected we need to set that up now hold your a button this is your d-pad up-down left-right this is your left analog stick up to the left this is your right up and left a the XY start select this is going to be my LB button on my xbox 360 controller this is my RV this is my LT or l2 button this is my right trigger l3 your analog sticks also have a push down function so we're going to push down our left analog stick for l3 same thing with the right stick and my hotkey is going to be set to my Center Xbox button and we're now set up so I have sound coming out of the PC itself it has a speaker built-in this is an older Dell if you're not getting sound press start on your controller scroll down to sound setting and output device custom you need to choose which one's working for you I'm just going to use auto here and I'm also going to turn my front in music off it sounds really cool but for these videos I kind of want it off now if we scroll through here there's a lot of emulators already installed and there's some free games that you can try out none of these are pirated games these are all hacks and stuff like that or custom games we want to load up some really good old-school retro games I'm going to be doing that using a USB stick so I'm going to take my 32 gigabyte USB 2.0 stick then I'm going to put my games on I'm going to plug it into the PC right now after it's plugged in press Start on your controller system settings and storage device it's set to internal I want it set to this one here this is the name of my 32 gigabyte USB stick so I'm going to leave it here scroll down
