**Design and Display**
The new 10th generation iPad has undergone a significant redesign, taking cues from the iPad Air. The body shape has changed dramatically, making it look more similar to the iPad Air than the previous generation iPad. Apple has finally ditched the home button, relocating Touch ID to the power button, which is now located towards the top of the device. This new design choice brings a fresh and modern look to the tablet.
In terms of display, the screen size has increased from 10.2 inches squared off to a larger 10.9-inch display with rounded corners. The resolution measures 2360 x 1640 pixels, offering a higher pixel density and more vivid visuals. The device comes in four different colors: yellow, blue, pink, and silver, providing users with ample options to choose from.
**Speakers and Cameras**
One of the notable changes is the shift from lightning ports to USB-C. Apple has also moved the front-facing camera to a new location on the side of the device, making it easier to access when taking FaceTime calls or using other camera-related features. The camera's improved design allows for better low-light performance and more detailed images.
The iPad 10th generation comes equipped with two speakers, positioned on opposite sides of the device, providing enhanced stereo sound. This improvement is a welcome change for users who want a more immersive audio experience. In contrast to previous generations, which used the traditional Apple logo as a speaker grille, the new design makes better use of the speakers.
**Performance and Connectivity**
The iPad 10th generation features Apple's A14 Bionic processor, which offers improved performance compared to its predecessor, the A13 Bionic. The single-core Geekbench 5 score stands at 1577, while the multi-core score reaches 4118, demonstrating a significant increase in processing power.
Connectivity has also been enhanced with support for 5G, Wi-Fi 6 (up from 802.11n), and Bluetooth 5.2 (up from 4.2). These advancements provide users with faster data transfer speeds, improved network reliability, and more reliable connectivity.
**Keyboard and Accessories**
One of the standout features of the new iPad is its detachable keyboard folio. The device comes with a removable back panel that can be popped up into a kickstand, providing a convenient stand for watching videos or browsing the web in landscape mode. This design element has been particularly praised by users who appreciate the flexibility to adjust their viewing angle.
However, one potential drawback is the lack of support for Apple's first-generation Smart Keyboard. Instead, users will need to purchase a separate adapter (USBC to lightning) to connect the old keyboard, which may be inconvenient for those already invested in the system.

that looks a lot more similar to the iPad Air than the previous generation iPad really it doesn't look much like the previous generation at all Apple has finally ditched the home button and relocated Touch ID to the power button located here towards the top again just like the iPad Air the new iPad comes in this delightful yellow color but it also comes in blue pink and silver as well the screen size has ballooned Apple went from a 10.2 squared off design to a new 10.9 inch display with rounded off Corners it measures 2360 by 1640 in resolution also relating to the design apple is still using two speakers but it's put in four speaker ports two on one side and two on the other giving you better stereo sound and Apple's ditched lightning for USBC on the new 10th generation iPad finally Apple relocated that front-facing camera rather than being located on the top like the prior generation Apple's moved it here to the side makes it a lot easier to be able to see directly into the camera while you're on a FaceTime call a zoom call call for class anything like that honestly people have been asking for this new landscape oriented camera for years and it's kind of crazy that the entry level the base iPad is the one that finally got that upgrade the new 10th generation iPad is using Apple's A14 bionic processor that's compared to the a13 bionic processor in the previous 9th generation iPad let's look at some benchmarks to see how that new processor performs on the single Core geekbench 5 Benchmark we got a 1577 on the new iPad and a 1331 on that prior generation turning to the multi-core score we got a 4118 compared to a 3485 almost a 500 Point difference which is pretty noticeable just between these two chips now this is an Apple's latest silicon it's not Apple's M series Silicon but for anyone who's looking for just a basic iPad for typical task messaging uh photos uh emailing some coursework taking notes all that kind of stuff this is more than capable and plenty of processing power for connectivity the new iPad supports 5G for the very first time additionally it supports Wi-Fi 6 up from 802.11n and it supports Bluetooth 5.2 up from 4.2 on the prior generation let's talk about the cameras Apple has moved from an 8 megapixel sensor to a new 12 megapixel sensor it has an F 1.8 aperture up from an F 2.4 aperture and it supports smart hdr3 for the first time and 4K video in a very peculiar move that left a lot of people scratching their heads Apple Optus still support the first generation apple pencil on the new iPads the old apple pencil though still uses lightning and there's no way to charge it on the new iPads in fact Apple's actually selling a USBC to lightning adapter to allow the first generation pencil to work but the thing is you can't even get them I ordered the new iPad from day one literally the moment these were announced I ordered one I also ordered my apple pencil adapter still not here I still can't use my apple pencil with my new iPad doesn't work until there's the little adapter that allows you to connect it it's pretty peculiar technically the Apple pencils work in the same way but maybe there just wasn't room to put the inductive charger on the side I mean that is where Apple relocated the new camera so maybe it just didn't fit here and it had to go over here and there was who knows what are Apple's reasons but yeah the new iPad still uses the original apple pencil and you need to use a special adapter to connect it one of my favorite things about the new iPad though is its new kickstand folio basically it has a detachable keyboard and a back panel that can pop up into a kickstand now it isn't as good for typing on your lap but it is pretty useful when you want to take off the keyboard and just use the kickstand by itself and I'll see if you're lounging on the couch that's been my favorite thing so that's pretty much it those are the differences between the new 10th generation iPad and the previous generation 9th generation iPad what do you guys think do you think it's worth it the 9th generation iPad is still around and it's like a hundred dollars or so more to jump to the 10th Generation version do you think the changes make it worthwhile let me know Down Below in the comments otherwise stay tuned because I got a lot more videos heading your way thank youhere's every
