The Perfect PC: A Groundbreaking Achievement in Cooling Technology
As we venture through the world of cutting-edge technology at CES 2018, it's clear that innovation is on the horizon. In this particular instance, we're going to explore an exceptional achievement in cooling technology, courtesy of Maine Gear, a company that has been pushing the boundaries of what's possible with liquid cooling.
The F1-31 Gaming Desktop: A Masterclass in Design and Engineering
Our attention falls upon the new F1-31 gaming desktop, which boasts an M ATX form factor. This means that users can now accommodate up to 2 video Titan V graphics cards and Intel Core i9 processors, all within a compact space. The creators of this PC aimed to craft the "perfect" machine, one that packs impressive specs into a small form footprint.
The Apex Cooling Solution: A Breakthrough in Liquid Cooling Technology
At the heart of this exceptional desktop lies an innovative cooling solution called Apex. This integrated system combines everything that Maine Gear has learned about liquid cooling over the past 15 years into a single product that fits all that technology in a tiny space. The key component of this system is a large reservoir, which allows for efficient coolant circulation.
The Apex System: A Parallel Loop with Independent Coolant Distribution
One of the standout features of the Apex system is its use of a parallel loop design, where independent coolant is distributed to both the CPU and GPU separately. This ensures that each component receives optimal cooling, as the flow rate can be regulated based on temperature readings. The system also comes equipped with pressure regulation, a flow meter, and a built-in temperature sensor.
Pressure Regulation and Redundancy: Ensuring Quiet Operation and Longevity
To maintain quiet operation and longevity of the pumps, Maine Gear has included dual pumps in the Apex system. This redundancy ensures that even if one pump fails, the other can still operate at a slow rate to minimize noise and prolong its lifespan. The use of high-quality components, including two inches of Crystal Creek clear acrylic, contributes to this remarkable cooling solution.
Customization Options: Unparalleled Personalization
One of the most exciting aspects of the Apex system is the ability for users to personalize their desktop's appearance. This is made possible through a variety of customization options, including LED lighting that can be swapped out for UV or RGB. Additionally, the entire chassis is equipped with RGB lighting, creating an immersive experience from front to back.
Chassis Integration: A Seamless Experience
The Apex system was specifically designed to integrate seamlessly into the F1-31 gaming desktop's M ATX form factor. Every component works in harmony, following the same angle and flow as the case itself. This attention to detail is evident when viewing the finished product, as it creates an experience that's difficult to put into words – a testament to Maine Gear's commitment to excellence.
New Marque Finishes: A Touch of Elegance
Maine Gear has taken customization to the next level with its new marque finishes. Users can now choose from automotive paint jobs or full cover art, allowing them to add a personal touch to their desktop. This is made possible by sending in a logo or piece of art, which is then incorporated into the machine.
The Final Touches: Bringing it All Together
With the Apex system and F1-31 gaming desktop, Maine Gear has created an exceptional achievement in cooling technology. This remarkable machine showcases what can be achieved when innovation meets determination. We invite you to check out Hardware Comm for more news, coverage, and reviews from CES 2018. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey there Chris cutting for hardware here at CES 2018 with the guys from Maine gear checking out their new cooling system so I'm going to turn it over to Ron with main gear to go through what they've got cool so this is our new f1 31 this our new grounds up chassis so it's a based on an M ATX form factor so that means you get to up to 2 and video Titan V graphics cards up to the Intel Core the 18 core eye 9 processor then with this PC our goal was to create what our interpretation of the perfect PC so for us that's the most specs that we could have in a small form footprint and that's why we what they make text the the real star of the show is what we're calling apex apex is an integrated cooling solution and what this is is a combination of everything that we've learned about liquid cooling over the last 15 years integrating into a single product that fits all that technology in such a small space so integrated into apex is a very large reservoir it makes the loop parallel so what that means is you get independent coolant into the CPU and the GPU separately it's pressure regulated it has a flow meter it has a temp sensor built in so we can actually regulate the speed of the fans based on the coolant it has a drain port and it has dual pumps so in order to make sure that we're able to keep the pumps really quiet and give them a lot of longevity we have two pumps in here so that gives you redundancy which is nice in case one fails but it means that the pumps can operate at a very slow rate it keeps them quiet and it makes them last a lot longer and you can see it's made out of two inches of crystal creek clear acrylic it's got a built in LED then we can actually swap this out so we can put UV that's currently RGB side the entire lighting in the chassis is RGB as well from the front logo to the interior lighting and one of the other nice things is when you build the chassis from scratch you're able to integrate everything perfectly so we built apex in with the F 131 it wasn't an afterthought like most chassis is it was designed perfectly for the system you kind of see that follows all the flows or the case even the tubing follows the same angle of the chassis and of the block and it really creates something that it's hard to describe when you look at it you can see how perfectly everything flows together it's also available with our new marque finishes so we have our automotive paint jobs as well as full cover art that we can show on the PC as well you can send us a logo or a piece of art and we're able to put it in actual piece that's very durable on the machine so that's pretty much it this is our new f1 31 gaming desktop all right check us out at hardware comm for more news and coverage from CES 2018
