Loudest Production Cars Ever

One of Those Pipes and You Know What the Racetrack Was There Before the Houses for Our Next Car

We're taking a look at some of the loudest cars on the road, and we're starting with one that's sure to catch your attention. I'm talking about the Porsche 991 GT4 RS. This car is a beast, with a lightweight flat plane crankshaft under the hood. And let me tell you, it makes some noise. But not just any noise - an insane 102 DB sound that can be heard from miles away. That's right, folks, this car is so loud that it's been known to wake up entire neighborhoods.

But we're not done yet. Our next car on the list is one that you've probably heard before, and it's going to blow your mind. I'm talking about the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. This car is enormous, with a supercharged 6.2 L hem V8 engine under the hood. And let me tell you, it makes some sound. A sound so loud that it's been known to wake up an entire neighborhood. In fact, the Hellcat produces an incredible 105 DB, which is equivalent to an NFL game or a leaf blower. But what really sets this car apart is the wine from its massive supercharger. Sometimes, induction sounds are better than exhaust sounds, and the Hellcat is no exception.

But wait, there's more! Our next car on the list is the Porsche 991 GT4 RS again. Although it has a similar engine to the GT3 RS, this car produces an even greater amount of sound. The 4 L Flat 6 engine makes 500 horsepower and is tuned to make way more sound by way of a muffler that resonates like crazy at Red Line, which is an enormous 8,800 RPM. The result is a whale-like sound that can be heard inside the cabin of this car, with an incredible 108 DB. That's right, folks, this car is four times as loud as the inside of a Challenger Hellcat.

And finally, we have to talk about the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT. This electric car may not have a combustion engine, but it's got some tricks up its sleeve when it comes to sound. The Charger Daytona features an "exhaust" sound that's supposed to be similar to a supercharged V8 engine - but of course, it's not actually an engine at all. Instead, the sound is coming from an amplifier and electronically controlled whistle that changes level and pitch depending on the throttle inputs. But don't worry, Dodge claims that this sound is going to rock out to 126 DB, which is just above the threshold of actual physical pain.

And last but not least, we have the Lamborghini Huracan Performante. This car is a real drama - it's a track-focused rear-wheel drive machine with 631 HP and a 0-60 Tower time of 2.8 seconds. And let me tell you, it makes some sound. A sound so loud that it can be heard from miles away, like a trombone player playing straight into your ear. The Lamborghini signature "whale" is amplified by an upgraded intake manifold and a lighter, repositioned exhaust system to really help bring out the sound of this massive 5.2 L V10 engine. And with a DB level of 109, it's clear that this car means business.
